Now that’s the way a video should be made. Nothing worse than having to watch 15 minutes of an airplane taxiing and then 30 seconds of an actual takeoff. This video got right down to the brass tacks.
Just watching this makes my heart race. I'm a fearful flyer and I have to fly in 8 months...definitely not looking forward to either the departing or return flights. Whenever I do fly, I always go out of my way to thank the pilots & crew for bringing us all safely on the ground.
@@elementalh4cker846 appreciate the reply. My wife just reminded me our 10 year wedding anniversary is in two years and she wants to go over ocean to an exotic getaway. We haven't even booked anything yet and my anxiety skyrocketed.
@@Sanguine_Addiction ahaha, my mum is absolutely terrified of flying, to the degree that she is convinced that our plane will magically crash and burn out of the sky. the way I helped her (may not work for you) was saving her favorite music before the flight for her to listen to on my phone at full blast, and alot of airport whiskey, or as we called it in our shitty little plastic bottle whilst in public, apple juice. managed to get her through 2 flights where she actually wasnt nervous at all, dont know how much was me holding her hand and babying her through, and how much was the alcohol though. ahahah
appreciate the reply! I had to fly last year due to a family emergency. My dad was in the hospital so I had to courage up and take a red eye flight across the country. Needless to say I was nervous for both the departing and return flights. I know eventually my wife wants to go on vacation especially international/over ocean, which I've never done before.@@Leaferr

I see you guys taking off all the time here in Miami! The 380's I mean. One question, why does the Airbus appear to go so slow on take off? Does it have a slower take off speed. Love your vids.
@@nankervisj that makes a lot of sense. Thank you. She looks so peaceful taking off. A little fat for my liking haha, I'm more of a 747 guy. But still is a bad ass plane.
This is BANANAS! I've always wanted to sit in the cockpit of an A380 during takeoff, and I kinda just did. Thanks a million!
Thank you!

I love taxiing personally xD
while i prefer the videos that begin “cold and dark”, some without subtitles are better to have me at “cleared for takeoff “.
Precisely

Sat in the jumpseat during take off and landing on a DC-9 once on a flight to Winnipeg. It was quite a memorable experience.
Earned a ride in the back seat of an F4 in 1964. Short trip from Greece to Italy.

Just the size of it and the runway. Vr speed is still around 145-160kts depending on weight

Beautiful sterile cockpit. Pure professionals
Was on 2 planes this weekend
Interesting that their SOPs don't require the PM to have his hand on the stick during the takeoff roll.
Crazy how little runway that aircraft requires given its size.
You first officer or captain?
What are those tinted pieces in front of the pilots?
First time on a 380 i thought something was wrong. The take off took forever. It felt a bit scary.

Customer option. I believe Qatar Airways have it installed on their A380s as well.

I agree :)
So the PM put his hands on his lap during the ground roll...?
LGA Technologie he is monitoring the instruments and probably does not want to interfere if there is a engine failure as it is a human reaction
