It’s scary how much power these 4 beasts produce and still not be that loud at the same time, I love the A380, it’s reliable and very good sounding. That take off was done extremely smooth
Yeah, ironically A380 is the most quietest plane out there when you are inside the cabin. I flew in it once, it's super quiet during cruise, you only hear wind. It's so quiet that apparently even A380 Emirates pilots found it difficult to sleep during crew rest periods because they could hear passengers, crying children and flushing toilets throughout the flight.
"Cabin crew prepare for departure", words I always love to hear. I miss flying. I love the A380 and really disappointed it's not going to be produced more than the current orders.

Then you haven't listened to a B707. You can hear that shriek from 20 miles away. Trust me, I used to live close to the airport and knew every time a B707 was on final.
I never knew an A380 sounded like this. I always heard a 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, 787, A319, A320, A321, A300, and A330 as well as a A340, but NEVER knew a A380 sounded like this!! I thought the A380 was the quietest of all, but actually I changed my mind that it's actually the BEST sounding yet!!!
Take off power and high climb Decibels is what is being heard. At cruise height it is then only probably around 10% of and accounts for 99% of the flight. I have used this aircraft since 2009 when Singapore Airlines commenced it's operation and is one of the quietest jet's operating throughout the World.
I worked at Houston Bush airport for 3 years right next to the main departure runway. Imagine hearing that sound, but from the outside. You literally feel it in your bones! Shear power!!!!
There is something ethereal and mystical about that sound, as if it was from another dimension. The A380 is a great plane that will be sorely missed by millions of fans.
Damn, it takes a lot of horsepower and runaway to lift that beast off the ground! The modern jet engine is truly one of man's most brilliant invention, able to run for thousands of hours maintenance free through rain, snow and sun.
It's amazing how: > Right outside the speed of air is fatal but you can't tell... > Some of this engines will run 20+ hours straight despite being so powerful..
I love the sound of those engines! I flew on an A380 from Los Angeles to Bangkok, Thailand. 26 long-ass hours of flying, but it was an awesome flight! Stopped over at Guangzhou, China for a bit. Lost my ticket in the airport. That was exciting.
Imo airbus should make an A380neo, with a reshaped fuselage (to make an A380neo-F variant) the neo should have 2 engines and they could make some sort of economy sleeper class to make up for low demand routes
@@derpyto3z It would be incredibly difficult to fly a double decker aircraft on two engines. All 4 Trent 900s on the A380 produce up to 336K pounds of force at TO/GA. The most powerful turbofan engine recorded, the GE9X, even combining two of them, would only produce 268K pounds of force at maximum power. And then there's the issue of efficiency.... it just won't work.
Fun fact, that buzz you sometimes hear from a turbofan is almost a series of mini sonic-booms. As the blades spin they create a vacuum behind them, and as the air rushes to fill that vacuum it makes a sound. At full power most turbofans are spinning so fast that the air moving to fill that vacuum, breaks the speed of sound.
can never get enough of the vortexes coming off the engine cover strakes.....hit the wing and up and over....shows airflow in front of and over the wing simply amazing how air pressure can lift such weight
