@@StanleyMabonga Otto just has no respect for women look at how he always refers to alicent as “daughter”. Viserys and his First Wife raised Rhaynera with love, respect, and wanted her to be happy. Otto raised Alicent and only cared about duty and could careless about her happiness.
It was all on Otto. Alicent didn't want to go against Rhaenyra to begin with. Aegon never wanted responsibility in his life. The only mf pushing for war was Otto. Now everyone is stuck in the hell he created and he's pissed they all suck at their job?

I believe Aemond's brothel scene is about an 18 year old who has no relationship with his mother. He had to share his feelings.
This is a fantastic take. I hadn’t thought about it that way but it makes so much sense. I remember thinking it was almost infantile the way he was curled up on her lap telling her about how he was bullied and he made a mistake because of it.
Yup! Look at Alicent's complete lack of ability or initiative to comfort Aegon when he's grieving. It was probably even worse for Aemond.

C’est normal qu’elle n’a pas l’expérience d’être une dirigeante puisqu’elle commence à été reine. Aucun n’a d’expérience quand il commence à régner c’est debile de dire ça 😅. Book or no, some people just want to hear a podcast about a show they like without having the story told before it’s shown. There are folk who don’t want to read the book
@@NiKiMa023tbc I didn't mean they ought to simply lay out the entire plot with every character arc, but rather be able to discuss character and plot points from the episode that either stand in contrast to the book or better flesh out plot and characters. So discussing the show in step with the book, not jumping ahead.

Crispin Cole was not assigned to Queen Helaena, so not on him. He is Alicent’s sworn protector and he had her back that night
Cole is the Leader of the Kingsguard, he he picks his assignments (and everyone else’s).
If he was doing his job correctly, he would have transitioned Kingsguard protection from the Dowager Queen to the current Queen.
During their confrontation Ser Arryk asks him why a sworn protector has not been assigned to the Queen.
It’s his duty as Lord Commander to assign sworn swords to members of the royal family who do not currently have them. He hasn’t even selected new Kingsguard to replace the ones who defected to Rhaenyra. There’s supposed to always be 7, and currently there are only 4. He can’t even do this job right and now he’s being promoted to Hand of the King 😂
He’s too busy banging Helaena’s mom to worry about putting anyone at her door. So yeah, still his fault.
