- FIRST DRIVE: The RX is getting some big changes from Lexus for 2023. Under the hood is a 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 that produces 275HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic. On the outside of the F Sport you will find a unique grill, 20in wheels, and LED lighting. On the inside you will be greeted by an all new infotainment system, leather seating and digital gauge display. Is the NEW 2023 Lexus RX 350 F Sport a luxury SUV worth the PRICE?

How do you compare the acceleration of this to the QX55 and GV-70 2.0? Currently have the GV-70 2.0 and not really impressed with the acceleration and the transmission feels a bit labored.

Hey Joe I'm liking this RX! Does this have the autonomous drive function? Amd how reliable is it really? I mean, it can't know like what exit you would want to take for example right?

I prefer the naturally aspirated V6 engine from the 4th generation RX350. I love everything about this new vehicle except the smaller turbocharged engine. That’s my opinion.

This Lexus probably not reliable anymore because it now uses Turbo 4 cylinder no longer using natural V6 due to EPA fuel mandates.

Joe, a Great Wake Up Call. Nice Car. This is Not a 3 Row SUV, Thank God. I'm not sure if I'm sold on the new Touch Screen. There should be some Buttons for easy control. I'm sure many of the functions can be controlled by Steering wheel controls. However, it is a nice large screen that is Touch Screen with No Piano Black. I have a 22 Acura MDx Advance since August 2021. The MDX has Acura's Touch Pad which after 1 year still annoys me, despite going thru the Learning Curve. I wonder your thoughts of the 2022 MDX Type S Advance vs. this Lexus vs the 2023 RDX Advance. If Acura had made their TTIP InfoT system a touch screen, the debate would be over. Even Better, Acuar should make it BOTH: Touch Pad and TouchScreen.

Great review Joe, hopefully Lexus makes enough F-Sport models to improve lead times. I’m waiting for an NX F-Sport for 4 months and do not have a definite delivery date yet. I’m willing to cancel that order and go with the new RX350 F-Sport.
Question, what made you decide on the 350 vs 450h or 500h?
Question, is the all new RX350 14” center screen black and white lcd or color screen? Looking at other rivals-GLE350, BMW X5 and Audi, their center screens looks more like OLED screen. Very crisp and clean and tastefully colorful. The RX screen looks very cheap to me. Almost as if it’s some kids iPad. 🤔🤷🏾

Hi Joe what is the power distribution front to rear and side to side on the RX 350? I think the RDX has 80 rear 30 front and 100 % side to side if I am correct?

The 2.4 turbo is a big disappointment in my opinion. Paired with the lackluster display and tech package just really lacking compared to the genesis gv trio

I hope Acura comes out with Type S on next generation RDX to really really compete with RX. Right now, comparison is not too close.

my old RX is really heavy and the V6 just had no torque at all, always hunting around on trans. Annoying as hell. Turbo has way more useable torque across power band

A fwd Camry suv is not better than the x5 or GLE. Or even the gv80 xc90 MDX Aviator or even a cx9

My man Joe is working I'm starting be like that now after suffered from sleep apnea on the go myself now. Love the blue color it's a beautiful SUV this new generation is looking amazing usually Lexus be worth the money one of the most trouble free cars and most reliable love the front end fascia, overall I would look into this new model.

Well，its a nice one. But this generation RX350 can do 0-60 in 6.7-7，while GV80 four cylinders and GLE350 can all run 0-60 around 7，it seems that the new RX is only about in mid 7 range

The older model of this same spec is like $60k. Hopefully this is $52k. Still don’t know about the reliability compared to the V6 which is still legendary

Zonk, That 2.4 liter turbo motor. We need a naturally aspirated V6. That engine sounds weak on rev. Not worth 52k IMO. This reminded me of the NX and the big boy is now the new 500h
Which makes me wonder why would anybody buy this over an MDX. Can wait to return this '20 RX next month and get a V-6 MDX.
xD Am amazed Lexus after 20+ years still producing same 7.5~ second 0-60. Common man it's at least 60k even with minimum options.
I had the 2013 rx f sport. It had 270 hp, 10 years later it gained 5 hp. It could be better is all I’m saying.
I want to like Lexus but then I'm like not quite. I only like the LX but that's $100,000 minimum. To spend that much might as well get a Range Rover Sport or BMW X6 M50i or M Sport.

Nope... I buy Lexus because of how smooth their V6's were. I don't want a 4cyl, especially in an SUV of this size. Acceleration is a big step backwards and traded off for barely any mpg improvement. Bad decision going to a 4cyl

Not enough of an improvement to justify upgrading from 2020 RX450H f sport performance. I have CarPlay, triple beams, levinson, pano roof, red interior etc. Availability and dealer markups will all be a hassle as well.

Imagine touting a "sport" vehicle that only gets ~7 sec 0-60. Thats a big oof, major loss imo. You cant just slap a sport name on a low-end slow clunky suv and raise the price 10k. They know what theyre doing.
I don’t think you can call the vehicle that launched its own class low end. The RX has always been a smooth reliable and comfortable car based luxury SUV. Even the first generation was lauded with praise.
