THIN LIZZY OPENED THE SHOW :)
Outstanding, even though I knew some Queen footage was coming it's still a wonderful surprise to see such great footage. This is indeed from 1977, and I saw them a few months later at Earls Court London (and many more times over the years). A truly great band that always delivered, thank you for this upload! 🙂
100% my bad got it all changed up now. Thank you
@@speedysfilms All good now, thanks. BTW, is there any info in regard to the equipment used to make these recordings?
Small correction, this is 1977 for the Races tour.
Thanks ya, oops lol. Every thing is now changed. Thank you so much
@speedysfilms No worries! Thanks so much for sharing!
Stunning footage
This is surely 1977. This is also a source two! The first source was discovered some months ago, filmed by Daniel Graham.
This is a very cool film! Loved the pyros. Always love seeing that stuff on 8mm. Good work.
100% my bad got it all changed up now. Thank you
Fantastic films as always from Speedy. The pyro at around 3:24 is incredible to see in motion.
One major correction though is that this show is February 1st, 1977. Not 1978.
Yup thanks. I do not know where my head was at lol all changed up now. Thank you
Great find. At was at this show, same angle but higher up in the red section. I think this was shot in the gold section.
Definitely gold section!!!!
This is fantastic! Filmed so stable, really long clips of the first three songs. And we're not missing out on anything because the other source of Super8 from this date has everything, even the encore, in very short clips
Awesome footage! Thanks for sharing! Oh, and actually, this is from the toronto show in 1977, during the A Day At The Races Tour
100% my bad got it all changed up now. Thank you
This is the best White Queen footage I've ever seen!

This is glorious footage, love the Ogre Battle pyro stuff

Thank you so much for this,it was awesome!!!👑👑👑👑👑
Yes In Europe that era they played at the biggest arenas ...and also first in South America in the 80s ✨️
I remember at some pivotal point in this show saying to myself, wow it appears as if Freddie Mercury is gay.....not that there is anything wrong with that, I was just 18 and had no idea what time it was,
Yes, Queen was actually the first "arena" show in Stockholm May 1977 since Beatles 1963 and they always began their European leg in Stockholm 🙌✨️🎸
But didn’t led zeppelin play in Stockholm In 1968??
Yes , both 70 & 73 but in concerthouse and outside tivoli ,They were big but no promotor havent access to bigger arenas....Took EMA telstar 2 years to arrange Queen 👍
Oh ok I understand. So you are saying that queen played to bigger arenas??
I was only 9 in '77. I would give pretty much anything to have been old enough to see the Races tour. I envy those who got to experience that tour violently, have met several over the years. These old 8mm clips are as close as I will ever get, the authenticity of the concert experience, the smoky venue, the house PA, the stationary spot, the jostling and occasional obstruction... nothing like live music.
00:01 Tie Your Mother Down
