Queen had it all. The songs, the look, the mystique, the diversity, the style. They display their powerful hard rock side with great lyrical content in this song. Im constantly amazed at the range of their songs like 'dear friends' & 'love of my life' to songs like 'WHITE MAN' & 'stone cold crazy'.
Brian May's tape echo guitar playing on White Man, is surreal and mega - heavy. And Freddy Mercury owning the passionate vocals. Saw this tour in my teens. Queen is still one of the best Bands I've seen live in concert, and I've been to dozens of shows since. Long live the incredible music of Queen. Peace.
Amazing! He was also using the Eventide Harmonizer by this time... I'm wondering why he signals 5 at one point.. a preset change on the Eventide perhaps?
Just watching Brian May on the echo again and there are times he looks like he's playing a solo against some chordal backing but its the tape echo being used! Amazing... what a band!
@@bohemianrhapsody_freddie Yes, agree, even if I suggest you, if you don't know, Mina (for her powerful voice th-cam.com/video/YArv4H21dSA/w-d-xo.html) and Demetrio Stratos (for his poliphonic voice). Cheers :)
@nickxero2740 News of the World, the Races and NOTW tour, with Queen at their peak performance and Freddie rocking the vocals. 1977 was when We WIll Rock You and We Are The Champions were released, two of their biggest hits. Also Queen were really famous at this time and they played Madison Square Garden.
What a memory!!! WOW!!! I saw them 3 weeks before this show, in Toronto(Nov. 21, 1977). First of 4 times i would bare witness to one of the greatest live acts of all time. Thanks for the memories.
If I could go back in time it would be to see this tour! They were playing songs from their most rocking albums. Later stuff was great but the path towards pop music began after this tour.
Proof a great band can play all types of.m7sic. This is as heavy as heavy metal gets. Great aong and performance I saw in Houstin in 1977. We didnt know.what we.were seeing, but it was awesome.
Menacing sound that fits the theme of the song. Deacon’s understated bass and Taylor’s drumming holds this together as the Mercury/May combination takes hard rock to a new level.
Just incredible, incredible! Brian's harmony guitars @3:01 makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I missed this tour so thank you, thank you My Queen Collection for posting this!

Saw this tour @ Scope in Norfolk VA. Given the depth of this number, I felt it should have been a longer rendition, but still to this day the single best show I ever saw - and no opening band. Will never forget someone setting off a firecracker (M80?) just before the band hit the stage- it caused the huge suspended crown above to list violently and the crowd surged backwards thinking it was coming down. Very dramatic
Saw this tour in San Diego when We Will Rock You and We are the Champions were just the new songs , it was so awesome. One of the best shows Iv'e ever seen.
Да ,но качественных концертных вариантов именно этих вещей мало. А эта песня вообще не типичная для Queen.Этакий дум-метал семидесятых с красивым и не неповторимым вокалом Меркюри .
To be fair, Zeppelin had already passed their prime when Queen came into the scene, but... yeah. Queen had better songwriting, better vocals, MUCH more charisma. Oh, and let's not forget that Queen could tackle just about any genre and make it sound good, while Zep branching out resulted in garbage like The Crunge and Hot Dog
Four guys at top of their game no other band can match their wide range of music they put out,for me best band ever.
linkin park
Jimmy Gamer nah queen were the real deal
Richard Chedzey agreed
@@dimitrisvoliotis1158 You have to be kidding?

QUEEN of the 70's were just MAGIC. White Man of the best Brian May riffs ever. Heavy Metal Queen
Father to son especially when it come to the metal flare
Son and daughter!
@@FullOfMalarky You're right. Father To Son, another underrated masterpiece

Great sound, good little rocker with a bardish air of melancholy. Love the outfit and performance, love the gear (not drugs).
You don't realise how much I envy you, so incredibly irritating that I wasn't around for this

Me rompe la cabeza este tema!!gracias loco por este video.🤘💪
There was never a front man as awesome as Freddie!
Brians guitar is the star here
And a bassist as skilled as Deacon
And a drummer as thunderous as Roger
And a guitarist as skilled as Brian
saw them in 82 when they mashed this riff with Son and Daughter and Brighton Rock. I swear half the audience seemed to not know the songs at all.
I imagine 1980s queen fans not knowing the early stuff

Seriously, 1977 was a revolutionary year for Queen, as well as for Music.

Must. Release. Officially.
Brian May and his Red *.* I want this show remastered in DVD, CD and vynil too... Queen rocks!

I agree love queen of the 70s not so much in the 80s. Almost two different bands
everything Queen touched was gold, I used to despise 80s pop and disco with a passion and they made me do a complete 180
Wow, I didn't know, that this song is live even better.
The great man with passion, sang with power.
Heavy Metal at its finest 👍🍻👍

They should rename this concert the metal years because that's what they were in the 70s hell yes
It's more towards hard rock than metal, i would say.
Yes , bc I cannot stand metal music. White man is great hard/heavy rock.
Nothing short of amazing! Talent, range, and synergy beyond anything before or since. Greatest band ever.

Where you gonna hide
From the hell you've made ?

With his hands and his knives
On the bible you swore
Fought your battle with lies
Oh yeah
Leave my body in shame
Leave my soul in disgrace
But by every God's name
Say your prayers for your race
