As a musician in multiple bands I can confirm that stuff like this happens LOADS. Mostly us laughing. One time we did a big group live studio band made up of 3 bands performing Seven Nation Army and us singers (me and 4 other girls) kept laughing. Our laughs accidentally slipped through into the actual recording, unnoticed, so we were rounded up back into the studio to do 35 more takes until it was laugh free. My second band like to each gather around mine and the backup singers mics to do asmr (total opposite of our usual stuff. Punk rock band) My main band has 100% vocal responsibilities on me. Sometimes my voice squeaks so we have to take 5 to calm down and then end up snickering at each other and having to stop over and over and over. Funniest thing that ever happened to us was me singing “check yes Juliet” Actual lyrics: “just sneak out and don’t tell a soul goodbye” What I sang: “just sneak out and don’t SELL a soul goodbye” We were laughing for hours. We had to drop rehearsing that for the day because it just made us laugh. We also began a chain reaction of laughing through other songs. To this day when we play Check Yes Juliet we laugh at the memory of me accidentally singing about selling souls
