    If I buy two and connect all the pieces but to Both power supplies, would it work as one whole unit?

    I was watching your video while mulling over where I might use this product. I have a few ideas. I like the whole magnetic connections thing. It's funny that I have a 23 year old son and this fifty-five-year-old is the one who's excited about this stuff.

    My comment is a little late. Hopefully that’s ok. Hi Craig, I recently watched this video because I really like the lifx beam lights. Unfortunately they are sold out everywhere and I can’t find any. I’ve also heard good and bad reviews for this product so I haven’t been sure if I should get this when it becomes available again, assuming it will. But since I’ve heard some bad things about it I was thinking about getting the lifx z led strips instead. I wanted to ask you which product I should get. Which did you like more? The lifx beam or the lifx led strip? Hopefully you’ll respond to this soon. Thank you very much for your time.

    Fair enough reply to my “unbiased” comment. Question: with the “move” effect do you have the option as to which way it moves ( left to right or right to left)?

    I just purchased the Nanoleaf Canvas. I found out that it will not connect to a 5 GHz router/modem but it will connect to a 2.4 router/modem. Does the beam connect on an Android phone the same way the LIFX bulbs do?

    • @CraigsTechTalk

      Yes it will connect the same as the Lifx bulbs through the app.

    Thanks for your videos, I’m jumping on the echo bandwagon. Do you think these are bright enough to function as a bedside night lamp, to use for reading and safely navigating the room, or should I go with another smart light product? Thanks!

    • @CraigsTechTalk
      @CraigsTechTalk  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are welcome. Thank you. Hope you enjoy your echos. I just tried mine with my office blacked out and from about 5 feet away with them directly behind me and at full, they do ok as a reading light. They are meant to be a light feature that can cast some accent lighting. Personally I would look into either a nice lamp with a LifX bulbs, I did a video on the LifX mini. If not that, possible some LED strips. Hope this helps.

    outstanding review! sorry i just found out about these lights and im so in love with them and i have a question, so in order to sync all the lights together like the bulbs and the strip behind ur table at 13:02 do they all have to be from lifx? thank u!

    • @CraigsTechTalk
      @CraigsTechTalk  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, in order to sync them all together for that one IFTTT command they do need to be all from LifX. The IFTTT trigger I am doing is taking a superchat and triggering a LifX scene. You could right an additional IFTTT trigger for another brands lights and have that run at the same time. Thanks for watching.

      Hello John, so far I have not had any problems with that. I don’t know if it has to do with the whole Router set up I went with. I do understand that some of these devices can get picky when it comes to the 2.4 and 5 MHz. I don’t know if you have the option to separate the networks. That way the Wi-Fi devices can all live on 2.4 side. Thank you for watching. I wish I could offer more information on this. Have a great day.

    • @CraigsTechTalk

      Yes it comes with a corner and pieces to make an L. You can only add one more 12” piece. That would bring it to 7 so you would need to do two separate kits with two separate power supplies. You could not make a continuous square.

    Hello Craig, I was wondering if you could help me with your knowledge and experience with smart tech. Iamb a fan of your channel. I have been researching for a couple of weeks now on smart light switches that work with Amazon Alexa and Google home, The problem I’m having is that a lot of them have negative feedback and to add to my particular case I need them not to require a neutral wire as I live in the United Kingdom. I know that you can buy smart lightbulbs, but I would much prefer light switches and that are dedicated to working with LED bulbs. Much appreciated if you could help me out thanks and advance. Hope you and the family are keeping well.

    how good would you say the music visualization is? great review

    • @CraigsTechTalk
      @CraigsTechTalk  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      hello Chris, I think it's better than the Philip Hue one. The one thing I didn't like about Philip you is that it just started getting way too random with a collars. One thing I noticed with the light beam is that it didn't really cycle through zones. It flashed as a solid beam. it will either flash in the color you have in your look. Or you can have it pick random colors that change to the beat along with flashing. I think it did a good job with the beat. It is specially look cool with multiple lights going at the same time. it definitely didn't feel like a random mess like I thought of the hue app visualization. It is still random, just not as bad. It did respond well. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed the video. Have a great weekend.

      @CraigsTechTalk  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are right it is not unbiased. As I said, I reached out to LIFX and asked them to send it over to me. I reached out to them because I do love the other LIFX bulbs I own. The beauty of showing lighting is that the results and information is right there to see. I am transparent on my videos about how I get a product and feel about it. I also give enough information for a viewer to hopefully form their own opinion. The other great thing when someone like me comes out and says they got the product for free is that you can take my opinion with a grain of salt and move on. It's when people are not transparent you should be concerned. Thanks for watching.
