The front facing camera on the V50 is better. Since it has two cameras, a standard camera and a wide angle camera. The wide angle camera has a wider depth of field, which captures more imagery than the single front facing camera on the V60. I wouldn't call the lg V60 an upgrade, it's more of a side grade to me. Granted the bigger display and newer SOC does make it a more compelling option to some.

Hi. Thanks for your very informative videos about the LG phones. I am trying to decide between the V50, V50S AKA G8X and V60. The V60 looks great "on paper" (specs), but two things about it make me hesitant to choose it over the other models: the huge size and the reviews I've seen in which the V60 camera footage (photos and video - in daylight and low light / night) seem considerably worse - especially in detail and sharpness, as well as autofocus performance, to the V50. Which is very surprising, since the V60 has a much larger camera sensor (1/1.7" vs the 1/2.55" of the other models involved). Now I'm wondering... has the V60 camera proformance improved with software updates since the initial launch and reviews of the phone; does it perform significantly better with 3rd party camera apps such as GCam; where does the G8X/V50s fit in in terms of camera perforamnce/quality, when compared to the original V50, and indeed to the V60; how do the dual screen accessories/usage compare with these models (from my research, it looks like the V50 dual screen experience was somewhat worse than subsequent models using it?); how does battery life compare in real world use of all of these phones; and overall which of these phones is/are the best value for money... considering that the V60 is still much more costly than the others.

The V60 is bulky for smaller hands ..the display is better than you would imagine in real life looking at the display and i like the camera set up at the back better than the v60 ...the v50 has a more useful telephoto camera and it is cheaper than the v60. The v60 has a unstable usb c charging port issue that the v50 does not have. ..i like the face unlock on v50 ...the v50 has a more stable natural photo output and v50 can take group selfie . Note that the issue isn't JUST 5g. The modem in the sprint variant of the v50 doesn't support all of the T-Mobile bands, and the v50 modem doesn't support t-mobile 5g. So, it's a hw issue.. @@zacksmith2514 That's sucks, dude. But good that you can send it back. I'd raise holy hell at the T-Mobile store you went to. They should have known the story about it.
I was looking at the v50 online, and didn't see ANY t-mobile variants. Which got me suspicious. Then I saw that they didn't even MAKE a t-mobile variant, which got me concerned. And I figured that with the merger and all, something funny might be going on.
It's too bad LG, Sprint, and T-Mobile dropped the ball in the design phase and didn't coordinate well. The v50 looks like a great device (other than being bricked on a major US carrier).
