@@smallpeople172 Different strokes for different folks. I like the AC2 one also, but the music style of this one, the handycam filmic touch, and the near-horror aesthetic they use in the beginning create a way different atmosphere than the AC2 one, and I VASTLY prefer it.

And so did the game with their new, practical control scheme that rendered the game playable without an extra set of thumbs. I miss it. Shame we can't get this on steam. Another note, this studio also made dark souls, and I can see this game's influence on their artwork.

Playing this game at 5 years old was my first time experiencing a Gesamtkunstwerk. The angelic soundtrack is in perfect harmony with the flowing, mechanical violence and the bloom is what binds them. I couldn't get past Barbaroi then, but it didn't matter; I was satisfied replaying the first chapter and tinkering in the garage like I did in NFSU2. To this day, 4 and 4A are the baseline in which I have gauged every game since.
The only thing that could make it better, is if it was longer with a less "zoomed in" perspective. I find the transitions from a scene to another its weak side. But other than that its awe-some
Can we all take note of how fucking overkill it was for Berlioz to use his OGOTO on that MT. Like bro you coulda sneezed on that guy and he would've exploded like a LEO xD, that poor MT Pilot didn't deserve to get that badly wrecked. :'D
I always took him using the ogoto on the mt as he absolutely does not underestimate anything in a battle be it a mt normal or a next and that’s why he was so successful as he viewed every enemy combatant as the same threat level
i love the way it looks when he's hip firing the rifles and strafing around on the tracks; the mech's design and the way it's animated do an incredible job of communicating the awesome power of these machines

Bit too one sided. The National Dismantlement war was a 1 month long curbstomp where NEXTS wrecked the world government almost instantly. It’s better to set it after For Answer

Make sure your later generations have cloaking abilities and the 1st generation has auto evasion micro burst jets in certain parts of the exoskeleton that doesn't reverberate within the superstructure.
I am probably biased as ALL HELL, but this will ALWAYS be the hardest intro for me, I can still remember the poor teen me, too strapped to BUY new games playing the FUCK out of the demo version of this on the 360

Interspersed with shots of a sci fi hellscape came up i was already convinced before the Fromsoft logo even came up.
I always favored those huge back cannons with the insane explosive radius fly straight up and fire down lol Anyone know what music genre this is? I’d like to listen to more of this. It has that like football commercial sound to it.
For being a realistic giant robot, its "eye" is pretty expressive. i like how it moves around and also how it sort of squints at the end
