And when the subect of the shot is moving very fast or very far away from the ground, they film it with a very long focal length, like the camera is far away and had to zoom a lot to capture it.
This intro as yet to be beat as the best one so far tho. Like for real, its a testatment to the teams required in the background to make those hulking robot fight like they do (the support crews around them) there's the detail take off and ordnance segments ... like every freaking little details are just marvelous.
White Glint is actually one of the original Raven models which has been taken an hybridization of the original AC system combined with the NEXT system.
The opening mission in AC6 has a launch cinematic that's almost certainly a callback to this one. Your AC even does the same ready pose as White Glint.
Would never work as a movie. The plot would work better as a slow burn poltical thriller with environmentalist undertones. But Gundam kinda already does that. The only difference I suppose would be that armored core is more grounded as far as super mechs go.
It wouldn’t work with silent protagonists, unless they shot it ultra noir style with zero dialogue except from a virtual waifu. You’d also have cast Ryan gosling as Anatolia’s merc which wouldn’t be cheap.
and 4 still can't top 1-3 lol Where we feel more immerse in our mech and mission. 4 just feels like you're on steroid boosting every direction. You don't get that skills maneuvering anymore. 5 was another step back, you can't even boost and fly anymore lol Don't get me wrong, I'm a veteran AC guy. I still enjoy em all. I'm just glad 6 is well balance between 1-3 and a little bit of 4.
This is one of the best cinematic I've seen in my gaming life, it made me buy that game. White Glint has such a cool design and I liked how they did the boosters.
I hope AC6 is so popular that they remaster this. I want to play this game again so bad but I don't want to dust off my PS3 and play at a bad framerate...

3:08 this, this right here, is what armored core 6 needs to have as a mod, a white glint head part that when using assault armor or pulse armor, has that metal visor close over the cameras or whatever those are.
You know, I've been doing some thinking about this intro. Why did he purge his missiles after only 1 shot, then drop 1 of his rifles, then use his assault armor when there was no enemies around and he was about to get hit with a volley of the missiles and cannon fire?
All the answers i could find was: 1The missiles could be of single use 2He didnt drop the rifleit felt from his hand 3If i recall right Primal Armor destroys any in coming projectiles/lazer so...yeah an protective measure

Actually there are enemies nearby White Glint like literally coming straight at him if you look closely when hes about to use the primal armor,he didnt "drop" his rifle on purpose...about the missiles,iam unsure if he purged em
I was thinking the same thing I always think when I see AC intros: What the hell is happening? It's always just a nonsensical video of robots fighting like crazy, how about actually have a coherent plot, even if it would be a short one it would still be something.
AC5 wasn't that bad. Well it felt more like a build up to Verdict Day. But them suddenly slowing down the gameplay from the insane high-octane fast gameplay of For Answer to V was just too much. I feel like AC5 would have done better if it didn't have the name, but as a different game ip.
News flash, the intro is CG. And unfortunately, the in-game engine was marginal when it was used in AC4 back in '07, so now it just can't hold up to MGS4 or the other standard bearers. (not to say AC series isn't fun [cause it is], it just has dated graphics)
Nitpicks: 2:31 The mech on the far right is clearly firing, but no shot is heard. However someone decided to leave the stepping sound of the mech on the left. 2:40 There are vapor trails behind to indicate something is shooting at lil glint. Yet someone decided to put in the engine white glint in, but decide to leave out the enemy's gun noises. 2:49 RIP Camera guy. 2:53 Where the hell is this shot coming from? And that's just actual mistakes. Someone in this studio absolutely sucks at doing his/her job and it's not the CGI animator.
Yep. All nitpicks. The last part where Glint gets shot, could’ve been from anything. I think this intro was okay. But Fromsoft had never intended on doing any actual directing in their AC intros. It’s just to show off the cool AC’s to get players interested. Even if they make silly “errors.” That’s what I think, anyway The juicy part is the gameplay itself. Though I have to say, my favorite intros are Master of Arena, Nexus and Last Raven. The Souls games had actual directing in their intros.
