Albert Bierman spent a lot of time on the N exhaust and it sounds soooo good. I have no desire to change mine because its so good stock, i get countless people asking what ive done to it, every time i tell them its stock they are so surprised lol Hyundai doing great things, your GT N line is sweet man really good looking car!
Dude! That is such an improvement in sound from when I saw you in June!! I can't wait to hear it in person!!! The valves closed are still a bit louder than stock but not obnoxious, but i definitely like the valved exhaust open over the AFE muffler delete!!! I need my V6 to sound this good or at least make some popcorn like yours 😉 *Early Congrats on 6k Subs 💪
Sounds great! You sounded excited and pleased with your work...but also a little bit tired from all the work, towards the end of the video lol. I applaud you for delving into this project. For me though ...I think I will just get the veloster N for the pops n crackles😅
I have one and you will not regret it. I can hit corners at M3 speeds and it just hooks! It pulls hard too for the little 2.0, such a fun car everywhere i go is an event man just test drive one if u havent already and you will be sold.
That sounds epic. I know this isn't necessarily the right video to ask the question but would you happen to know the stock offsets for the wheels? I'm looking to buy a new set but am not sure if I should get the 32mm offset of the 45mm offset
Could you maybe make a blog about this with just a slight bit more detail like where you sourced your exhaust, why the speed controller is necessary, etc. Would help heaps!
I bought it from a salvage yard. A controller is needed because this car didn't come with the wiring or programming needed to control this from factory. There are some after market plug and play options but I am not sure if they work on the Veloster one or not. Someone is selling this exhaust in the Chicago area for a great price if interested. Thanks
Awesome! I love that it's valved and can be quiet when the little one is in the car, but when you want it a bit louder you can open er up. Did you get all the electrical and valve when you bought the N exhaust? Highly considering buying the same set up for my n line as I've been searching for a valvetronic exhaust/muffler such like this one.
Yes mine came with electronic actuator and about 6" of harness connector as it was cut from the original salvage car. Not all exhaust will come with it though. If it doesnt I believe there are other valves out there you can buy and wore the same way that will work. Ford and other brands appear to use the exact same unit.
Hi Justin, can you show us how to do an oil and filter change? I have an August 2019 built N Line bought in Feb 2020. Hyundai doesn't do an oil change in the free 1 month service, and they only want to do an oil change every 12 months or 15000km. Being a turbo and all, I think its cheap insurance to change the oil and filter every 6 months
@@JustinKelly out of the ones I’ve heard from looking up videos, I like the sound of the aFe power exhaust I just don’t know whether I need to spend the extra money for the catback model. (I also don’t want to go through the trouble on installing a switch for the valve)
Hell yeah bro she sounds good af and looks clean as hell especially with the larger tips it just makes it bad ass 🤙🏼👌🏼 how does the n line handle? I'm looking into getting one soon but I'm just trying to get some input first. Thanks man!
Thanks! The N Line handles really well especially on a good set of summer tires. Its a really fun car considering it "only" has 201hp and 195 lb-ft of torque.
Hey Justin , i Just Bought a Elantra Gt 13 i need to know if there is a aftermarket headers for it or if i can use some headers from another hyundai pls let me know
Have you had any issues with the hatchback area rattling? I have a 2019 GT N line. I get a rattle that sounds like the hatch if I go over a bump on the HWY. I've tightened the spoiler bolts. Any thoughts of what to check for? Thanks
If you have checked all the spoiler bolts then I would next check the spare tire and rear seat back latches (aka fold the seats down and see if it goes away or changes). Lots of things can rattle.
@@JustinKelly thank you. I bought it a couple weeks ago and it only has 23,000 mi. The spare tire is definitely secure. The jack and tools I might take out and see if that does anything. It's really just a guessing game and it's not the end of the world. I would just love for the rattle to go away. Thank you!
It turns out it was the cargo cover. Ever since I took it off 4 days ago. Ago I haven't heard that rattle. I think it was hitting against the back hatch and wobbling. I will try to secure it better or just not use it.
There are some OEM Hyundai Australia ones that work but don't lower the car a ton. Eibach makes some but I believe they were designed around the GT Sport which has different shock tuning than the N Line but should still physically work. There are some other options out there overseas.
Hey man, do you know what the stock size for the piping is? I'm trying to cut out the resonator and from what I've read online I gather it's 3 inch piping to the muffler? But im under it and looks smaller like maybe a 2.75 or 2.50, if you could clear that up for me that would be phenomenal man. Love the vids, keep em coming.😊

Its only confusing if you make it in my eyes. With a little research its pretty easy to tell which line is which. I think Lexus still calls their cars F Sport.

Great job man, u got the attention of a couple of us with veloster ns and elantra gtN. Great work!!

Thanks so much for posting this vid. Been dying to know if its possible, and now I think I will be buying a Veloster N muffler for my GT Sport.

😁
So could I put this muffler on an elantra sport 2017?
Sounds sooooo good!
Crazy isnt it?!
Valve open is WAY better then after market , it has much more base amd water better tone .
also so this is a sheer muffler upgrade basically? no work done on headers or any pipes up from the muffler? sounds so sick man
Nope just the axleback section

did you paint those rims or came like that? and what model are they? they look so clean
I have a video on getting them refinished and the specs
How do you get so much pops and bangs, is it the muffler?
Just the muffler. Otherwise it is stock!

It shouldn't. Anything behind the cats shouldn't effect any sort of warranty.

Any lowering springs that fit the 2020 Elantra Gt n line?? Very lost on which brand actually fits these cars :(

Only cars with independent rear suspension and dual outlet exhaust.

2.25" Inner Diameter. I can go grab OD if needed with a caliper. The VN piping is 2.5" stock.

What’s the link for the exhaust
There is not a link to buy. It is an OEM part modified to fit. I would recommend trying to buy one from a wrecked Veloster N.

Rev match?
Yes?

Probably not given the tips need to be in the center on the older VT's
It’s definitely possible but the muffler would have to be modified to fit
So i30 is elantra in US ? Interesting.
The I30 is the Elantra GT in North America (GT is important as it means hatchback).
Hey bro you should do coilovers
I'm waiting for Elantra N-line mods. I'm impatient
I think the aftermarket has a lot of stuff is in the works!

Yes if you buy the Veloster N exhaust off of a Performance Pack car. If you buy one of the regular Veloster N, that one does not have a valve.
