Ahh the plug and play info got me excited! I was almost too late the day I came to my local Hyundai dealer. By the time I left with my 2020 N line, there were no more left in my state! This was in September of 2020 and yet I still got it under 25k 👍
Phew! I went for the silver color since I'm in the desert. That was gone by the time I showed up. Only 1 black and 1 Intense Blue were left. Intense Blue it is! Such a fun car.
@@Daveedv7k Stellar Silver was my only option, but I happen to really love a good grey/silver (like Kia's Wolf Grey... mmm...). I did see an Intense Blue Elantra sedan there and man-oh-man does that pop when the sun is low. What a beautiful color; pictures and videos online do not do it justice.
Man, I knew my car wasn't common, but I had no idea it was THAT uncommon. Cool. :D I love this thing so much. Been enjoying modding it (waiting FOREVER on a Takeda CAI from Tork... been on "back order" for nearly a month now...), and driving it in normal traffic or on an open road is just ALWAYS a blast.
I own one of the 2019 Elantra GT N Line cars, as of this date it has 15900 miles with a Takeda cat back exhaust. Tech package and automatic DC trans. Love this car and your great videos.
Some selling points that made me buy a 2018 GT Sport 6-speed manual vs my next option (Base VW GTI) that came standard on Hyundai were: Leather seating Dual auto climate W/ rear vent blind spot monitor w/ rear cross traffic alert CarPlay / Android Auto Warranty period Reliability Price What I don't like: Turbo surge due to stock ECBS during summer days. Windshield wiper service mode. Stock Hancock tires
I actually discovered your yt channel through one of your first videos: the rear LED turn signal switch. Wish Hyundai could just put in LEDs from factory and charge like 50 dollars for it.
Yeah they have not made many cars with full LED's assemblies which is too bad. Factory LED's look great but thankfully it isn't terrible to switch out the bulbs.
Sill plates came the other day. What an unexpected surprise!! Much love bro. Keep up the great vids. Also great stat info. I haven't seen one locally yet other than mine wouldn't surprise me if the production numbers were as low as you say.
Yeah the numbers could be higher or lower than what I stated. It was only based on what someone claimed they heard from someone in the know. It doesn't sound too unrealistic considering... Enjoy the I30 N sill plates!
@@JustinKelly It is!, mine is the panoramic roof version with Heating and Cooling seats. I just love revving it in the morning down to work, it has an awesome sound and aggressive look. every time I look at it, i get more in love with it, and Enjoy it even more.
Very cool car Justin, I have never seen one. I just bought my first ever non Chevy car - the 2021 Sonata and love it! I'll have to be on the lookout for Elantra GT N line :)
The red piping on the seat edge can wear down around where your butt can slide over it into the seat. Also saw that a guy had that happen on his seat edge where his seatbelt rubbed it. Only thing so far I hate about my 2020. I noticed that the Kona N coming out doesn't have piping on the seats.
Mine is Summit Gray. 2018-2019's was Summit Gray and 2020's were Fluid Metal. If you thought I had a 2020 from that one video I made... I titled it 2020 to help the views a bit 😉. It really is the same car otherwise.
Justin I have the same n can you tell me how to turn on the little song that goes off in the cluster screen when turning off the ignition also what in you opinion is the best upgrade for extra 🐎
I bought it from someone parting out an I30 N about a year ago. They are hard to find but if you want the V.2 you can buy it here. hyundaizubehoer.de/de/i30-n/209625-domstrebe-hinten-i30n.html
Yes, it has been done with a GT Sport on the Facebook group. With a base however you'll need to do wiring for the DRL/Turn Signal to make it work properly.
@@JustinKelly Wow, that'd be so cool. I need to join that group to check this out. The non-N line bumper is a bit tame, tbh. Thanks. Do you have any idea where I can buy the N-Line bumper?
Only the power seat in the Tech package. I believe this is the same on the Sport sedan. The 2021 N Line comes standard with power seat in the US which includes power lumbar I believe.
Ultimately it is up to the dealer to determine warranty coverage as they are the ones dealing with the parts first hand. Everything I have done should not affect warranty overall but obviously the individual parts I have changed aren't covered.
I'm super interested in getting this car as I can only find ONE nearby my area, it's gonna be about 23k because of the market right now. Is it a smarter investment to get it instead of an older used car that's marked up more?
I got my Elantra GT last month, been trying to find one on the road. I only found one on the street so far and non of my friend has seen one. So I wanted to research how rare is this car, but I can not find any information on how rare it is. Is it true that there are only 1K units on road in the US?! Because it makes my car really unique in both good and bad ways XD.
btw, mine is a GT base second-hand from 2017 but a 2018 model with 1k miles. Got it at a whopping $13800 because my family knows the dealer. I love it so far.
There are more than 1k for sure. There is no public data on the Elantra GT sales figures here in the US so outside a very rough guesses there is no way to confirm how many were sold.
i love how EVERYONE who has never driven an elantra all wanna talk crap about it because they are TRUE Sleepers they may not be an AMG or M Version like Super LUX Cars but they are in my opinion Way more Fun To Drive haha-
Probably not at the moment. The car will be reverted back to stock when I decide to sell/trade. There are others in the Facebook group that will sell theirs though.
Likely depends on the generation and transmission. Stock for stock in a straight line the latest gen Civic SI "should" be incredibly close. The DCT should have a slight advantage. Because the Civic SI has an LSD and adaptive dampers it would likely beat the N Lime around a track or autocross by a slight margin.
Don't mean to spam lol, but have you looked at oil pan upgrades? I know a couple places provide some options. Apparently a few people have had issues with dry gulp in chicanes or around tight/fast corners. Thinking about nipping that in the bud before I wear my bearings too much or something.
I haven't but it is only a really problem if you are track driving or maybe doing autocross regularly. Even then I know people who autocrossed the car competitively/nationally that didn't have an issue.
Maybe slightly. According to my data from the Facebook group depending on the model year they account for about 45% of the people who took the survey. This might be a little skewed due to the enthusiasts in the group who chose the manual which only came in the base trim. Only Hyundai knows exactly how many of each they brought to North America.
Just got a 2022 model in Australia. Still seeing them everywhere on the road. The i30 is one of the best selling cars over here.
That's awesome! I wish it was the same case here.

Yes, the seats fold however it is not completely flat. The bottom cushion doesn't move to is has a slight angle to the back when folded.
