    As a builder/modifier that does everything based on science and hard numbers. It’s really respectable to see you here in the comments saying that you won’t feel the difference of an intake. 99% of people want to convince themselves it’s faster just because of the amount of money they’ve dropped on it. Modern designs come so close to peak efficiency out of the box that most bolt on mods just look and sound cool, and to me that’s usually enough reason to justify buying them

    Is there a difference between the open top and the closed one?
    I honestly only want the intake sound and the spooling, but the heat shielding seems helpful.

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes other than price some people have had issues with the open top one not sealing against the hood like it is supposed to. The sealed one is just a little louder than stock. If you want a lot of noise then the open top one is cheaper and the one you would like.

Besides that I love the channel and look forward to seeing you continue to build the car!!

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@paulelliott6493 The only function the plug makes according to AFE is that it allows it to pull more air in (Some from the front and some through the plug) which may result in slightly more sound too. I still havent taken it out (Its rubber and takes 2 seconds lol) so I cant say if there is more sound or not but I am not sure you would feel the difference between having it in or out.

    Great video. Slightly unrelated question:
    Do you know if anyone (Quaife, etc.) makes a good quality limited-slip differential upgrade for this car? To me, this would be a significant improvement for the Elantra GT N-Line.

    • @teeztoyz
      @teeztoyz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know but I did check on installation and that alone was $1700. Correct me if I'm wrong but lsd's only come into play when one of the wheels starts to slip right? So as long as you have traction to both tires power is still being delivered equally right?

  • @justinmathew8989
    @justinmathew8989 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    When should you be cleaning out the catch cans every oil change?

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depends on how much is being caught and outside conditions. I would check it every week in cold weather and once a month in warmer weather to start. You can go longer than this typically but in the cold the condensation can catch up with you quickly and cause issues. Especially if you park outside and the water in the can freezes.

    whats the difference between the elantra gt n line and the i30n? will some parts be interchangeable and others not?

    • @JustinKelly
      @JustinKelly  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its an entirely different powertrain. The I30N uses the 2.0T and manual (or 8 speed DCT now) compared to the N Line 1.6T and manual or 7 speed DCT. Also the suspension or other aspects are very different while being similar.
