Great show man. Ultrasonic cleaner, gas is the best. And YES, gas is very dangerous... (The secret to success), fill your ultrasonic with H2O, place parts in a heavy duty zip lock bag, fill bag with the required amount of gasoline. Works great. Even keeps the solution and ultrasonic tub free of sediment. 👍
Hey now that idea is brilliant! Thanks man I will definitely mention it on one of my next carburetor videos and give you a shout out for sharing. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment with this idea .Cheers to you good sir 🍻
Hey Neil thanks very much .Heck ya the ultrasonic cleaners are brilliant bits of kit .Great for all kinds of cleaning jobs .Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment. I truly appreciate it. Cheers 🍻
As always buddy an awesome well put together video. Man I haven't had a bike with a carb in years and years, so much so that I forgot that there are times when they need cleaning. I don't mind working on carbs I like working on the Holley carbs as I have a few of them for my Charger depending on what engine setup I'm running at the time in that thing. A useful video for many I reckon buddy as if you don't know what to do watching a good how to video is a top way to go and oh boy, many need to watch how to vids first before they give something a go as I've seen some real disasters by peoples so called handy work.
Hey Roland thank you very much for your always kind comments. Yes the whole carb cleaning thing is a must if you want any type of performance consistency as you know .Especially with the cars you're involved with . It was an easy video topic because I had to fix the bike anyway so filming the process seemed like the thing to do .Hopefully it'll help others down the road. Cheers 🍻 my friend Thanks again
Great video! Man you’ve got the collection! Trials bikes are sweet. And did I spy a twin cylinder 2 stroke on the table? Maybe an RZ engine or something? And I have the same ultrasonic cleaner. It’s the one that’s a little smaller. Can still fit a carb, but it doesn’t take forever to heat up. Awesome info as always sir. 💪🏼
Thanks very much .You have a good eye man . Yes, that engine on the bench is an RZ350 .And I have to agree with you in a big way ,trials bikes are heaps of fun ..Im not surprised you have an ultrasonic cleaner it would be a tool that you would most certainly use on a regular basis with all of the engine work you do . What solution do you typically put in it ?Do you have anything that works well and isn't too expensive?
@@TRyanLearnBikes man, this may sound odd. I use Pine Sol. I use the lemon scent because it smells better. But I use water, and a couple ounces of pine sol. Cleans carbs and jewelry amazing! I read it somewhere, tried it, and I’ve been using it ever since. $5!
@linksgarage1985 Excellent. Thanks very much I'm going to give it a try on my next project. I definitely like the price...its way more economical than what I've been using. Cheers 🍻
Another great tip video. I like tour ultrasonic cleaner. I ise a Harbor Frieght variant and use Fabuloso or Simple Green as a cleaning fluid. Fabuloso i buy as a concentrate at Cosco on the cheap and it seems to work pretty good. You put a hella amount of editing on this one! 👍🏻
Thanks very much Eric .Never heard of Fabuloso but Simple green is quite popular too . Lots of stuff can work and each have their strengths and weaknesses. Like everything else it comes down to personal preference. You're quite right about the edit , many hours of messing around just trying to learn how to navigate the software. But the motivation is easy because I actually enjoy the process. Thanks for noticing. Cheers my friend 🍺
@Gary-dd9mt My pleasure, man. I hope you solved the issue and your bike runs well now .Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment. Cheers 🍻
