You Better Enjoy The Ride You're Not Here Forever
How a simple unplanned motorcycle ride turned into a cathartic look at life . If you didn't know , Memento Mori is a latin phrase that literally means " Remember You must Die". This powerful concept is embedded in Stoicism , meant to urge people to reflect on their own mortality .It is not meant to evoke fear or sadness but to inspire individuals to to live more fully ,considering that life is finite .

Shock Bearing Fix - No Press ? No Problem

How to change a motorcycles rear shock bearing using an unconventional approach when a hydraulic press is unavailable .While there's nothing wrong with a hammer and drift , it is a little bit ham fisted . I prefer using a mechanical drive easily fabricated from scrap bits and pieces found around the shop. Most any backyard mechanic can copy this design with ease . For the complete Yamaha YZ250 ...

    In diesel mechanic school they always warned us about batteries. They are like bombs in a way. Hook them up wrong, overcharge, they can crack, burst, etc. you’re lucky man. Hopefully the acid didn’t get all over anything nice.

    • @TRyanLearnBikes
      @TRyanLearnBikes วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes sir ,as a diesel mechanic you definately know the dangers of batteries and how much potential energy these things have . The spray of acid didn't seem to get too far as the battery was sort of out in the open on the floor with not too much around it .I haven't noticed any affected areas yet .

      @jackwilliams4617 Well thank you so much Jack Thats very kind of you to say .I guess the channel is loosely all that is motorcycles in and around my world .Sometimes very specific about fixing certain bikes and then sometimes about local events and the people behind the machines. I do try to mix it up to keep the channel interesting,hopefully. There are a few similar vids to this one in the library but some of them are pretty rough because I'm trying to learn the process as I go .Thanks again, you made my day with your thoughtful comments. The algorithm brought me to the party a little late, but here I am. I learned something new today thank you very much. Your question, "How do you miss that?" when looking at those knackered chains and sprockets had me shaking my head too. My back story: I've not ridden a motorcycle in nigh on ten years give or take, but my wife and daughter surprised me with a 2016 Yamaha XSR700 a couple of months ago! The chain was cleaned, lubed and well maintained in general, but there was still a rhythmic vibration especially when just cruising around 50 to 60mph. The cause? ONE seized rivet on ONE link. That was all it took the bike to tell me something was wrong. Yep, you could watch the chain bounce ("tighten") as that link went round the front sprocket. Thanks again and take care man.

      @TRyanLearnBikes 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @TachyonDriver Hey man, I'm glad you came by for a visit .Sounds like you can certainly relate with some first-hand experience .That single seized link on your Yamaha is proof positive how big an influence something like that can have .Thanks again for watching and for taking the time to comment with a great example. Cheers buddy 🍺

    Never pass up on a nice day to ride. People on their deathbed were asked, 'What's the biggest regret that you have?'
