Beyond The Bikes , It's All About The People You Meet.
The motorcycles and people that make Friday the 13th in Port Dover Ontario
a very special event .While the bikes are often seen as the main attraction ,the real ,often over looked magic is in connecting with the charaters .This place is a true melting pot .You get a chance to talk to people you'd probably never meet in day to day life . A great reminder that despite our differences ,here ,we all share something in common .

Electrolysis Fixes Rusty Gas Tank -How to Process

Remove rust from the inside of a motorcycle gas tank using electrolysis . Using this technique is an excellent option for safely extracting rust without harming the underlying metal surface of the tank . It may be an incorrect use of terms to say electrolysis removes rust, as many argue the process changes the state of the rust to some type of iron oxide that is easily removed and thats why the...

    Hi, I just bought a YZ250 04' to restore it and I read in the manual should not touch the TPS because it could cause issues, but I have to remove it to clean the carburetor in an ultrasonic tank. Can I remove the TPS in the same way as in your video without causing any problem? Thanks

    • @TRyanLearnBikes
      @TRyanLearnBikes วันที่ผ่านมา

      @bdncdn Hi Brandon, Yes you can remove the TPS as shown in the video without any issues. The manual is talking about the fact that it's not a serviceable device and not meant to be disassembled and tinkered with .Basically, if it was malfunctioning, just replace it don't try and fix it. Hope that helps.Good luck with getting your YZ up and running well. That's a great bike , you'll have lots of fun on it for sure. Ride safe,cheers, buddy

    ... Great video(s) !!!!! ... Sub'ed with a bell. Keeping in mind for those just getting into this, not all wheels have rim locks therefore all the more important to leave the outside nut up to the valve cap. I think my 250cc Maico's (1975, 1976 and 1978) had 2 rim locks. The tire pressure could be run very low as long as the sidewalls were stiff. My 2021 Honda CRF 300 Rally had TUSK D Sport tires and they are VERY stiff. One rim lock. Tire pressure can be run very low. I actually had sold the bike and was on my way to meet halfway to deliver to seller! he was coming from Saskatchewan and me from Central Alberta (i'd owned it 3 yrs - was my first big bike I got at 16). oil pressure light went on and pulled over right away. girlfriend was following me in my car so I wasnt stranded. found an auto parts store that was still open (early evening) in a local small town. he fetched me a tapered bolt that happened to work perfect for cutting new threads and plugging the drain! filled with new oil and she ran fine. I got lucky. got a motel for the night and drove all the way to saskatoon next day as buyer was still willing to buy the bike after me telling the honest truth about the ordeal...crazy, but i was so relieved it all worked out. I would love to go there but it would take me a bit to get there lol. Have you every done runs down the track yourself??? Not in recent years but I use to run my cars in A-street class of racing and my last race car is still with me, My Charger that is been now days turned into a custom street car. All the way down in my videos if you are interested you can see the car and I start it up and in one video I move it out the shed. If you do watch them use head phones to get the full effect of the slightly worked engine it has. The car is a 1977 Aussie manufactured (Chrysler) Charger model CL, the power plant is 500HP with a extra 150 hp of a computerized nitrous oxide system. If you watch the video where I back it out shed as I come back down you get a taste of how easy it is to turn a back tyre on no RPM.

      @@TRyanLearnBikes yeah if you do have a look unless you know the Aussie Chrysler products are quite different to the USA ones and they were 100% made in Australia apart form the engine and trans but even then we got the core engine blocks and made the rest here and out the box the Aussie engine setup's punched out more power then the American engines. Mine I am going to de -tune it for the street I have a smaller cam to install and different heads to go on as I'm looking for 350 hp out of the engine but keep the nitrous oxide set up as then making it all to a new total of 500 hp with the NOS. That way it should be drivable on the street oh plus I have to change the Torque converter and diff gears as well but eh! it's all part of it ha.
