Still waiting for my 500 watt power supply from HP to ship. In the mean time I am going to try and use my CORSAIR 650 watt from my old custom build tomorrow after work in my TG01--0023W. I do like the look of this PC looks sleek.
Great video! I have the tp01-1160 and was thinking about upgrading some parts so it can run some games. It has Ryzen 7 with an integrated graphics card. I was thinking about getting a GPU and power supply to start, but im just beginning my research journey now. If anyone has any tips, i would appreciate it!
When you mentioned the i7-10700, I kinda smirked since that's actually what my HP Pavilion TP01-1036 came with, though I think I had to pay $800 upfront. I'm actually pretty surprised that the 3070 works well enough with a 500W PSU. That being said, I don't regret getting either a 1650 or the 400W PSU since I don't personally mind having a lower-powered gaming PC, and if I do wanna go full RTX, I'd prefer to build it myself, or to have a pre-built one with ATX parts instead of HP Propietary. However, I must still applaud your method of madness to making this one of the more powerful gaming desktops out in the wild :P I do have a question: how long does it usually take for HP to process a payment? I bought the 400W PSU on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, and I got mine standard-shipping, so I know roughly 3-4 business days after they processed the order and ship it off I'll get it.
@@TNW1337 Welp, they estimated my shipment will start around in October. x.x Apparently, my payment isn't processing right or there's just a load of orders for these PSUs or something to that extent.
@@TNW1337 Oh aye. That's why I want to wait until I can get a job so I can actually afford to buy a 3070 once they're back in a sustained stock. And preferrably not in the moon range pricing they currently are lol. And also why I picked the MSI GTX 1650, since even though that's fairly weak in the grand scheme of GPUs, it's still got good strength in it and would play nice with 400W.
The Walmart where I live sells these 2 for the same price, the gaming one is the obvious better choice right? Since it's got a dedicated graphics card.
Im not sure which TG pc I have but it just says TG01-1XXX. But its got 16gb ram, intel i5 10400 @2.9 ghz, and a gtx 1650s. In the future what would I be able to upgrade to? Or is there anything I should upgrade? Thanks!
The i5 is a good cpu, maybe wait till prices drop. And a year or 2 down the road. then do a psu/gpu upgrade down the road. The 500watt and a 2070, 2060 supper or a 3060ti or 3070.
So there's a chance my motherboard is broken. Do you know if you can replace the TG01 motherboard? If not, do you think it would be possible to get a new motherboard + case and use the parts in that?
Sorry I am not to up to date with what happened. What is going on that you think your mobo is bad? If this is the case yes you can order a new Mobo Case and Psu. and use your old parts. Google your pc go to Hp supports website. and find your motherboards part number. Then reorder it.
@@TNW1337 I updated my bios from the HP support assistant now it's not showing anything when it turns on. Iv tried everything I can find including things like clearing the CMOS and nothing seems to fix it
@@jwest444 ok I would call hp is it still under warranty? Where you sure it was 100% the right biso for your pc. This is not good you have to be careful when you do a biso update. It pretty unlikely to go south but there still is a .00005% it can happen.
@@TNW1337 sadly no it's not under warranty anymore and I'm not 100% sure it's the bios because this would happen occasionally before. Like it would just sometimes decide not to turn on but when I reboot it would be fine, after updating the bios it did it again but this time rebooting didn't fix it. I'm pretty at a loss what to do
i was wondering, i have this same exact case, i have the hp pavillion desktop pc Tp01-2000a, with a 180 W Smart AC power adapter, i recently got a gtx1660, and i put it in the GPU area, and it fit but the only thing i was missing was an 8 pin pcie cable, was wondering what type of cable should i get and how can i connect it with the motherboard?
Do yourself a favor, and don't buy a Dell or HP prebuilt. Their proprietary Mobo/PSU/case are anti consumer, and not terribly high quality. I didn't take a good look, but I can hazard a guess that those don't have heatsinks on their vrm. That's just one of many corners they like to cut. Unless you were gifted one of these, or got it super cheap then you are better off building your own.
Holy Cow !! Look at that huge cpu cooler !! What's the max temp for the cpu with that big mama jama cooler dude ?
The intels run little cooler idle like 40-42c 50-58c under load also I did not have a I7 to test so I could not 100% max it out.

it should work about to do a video on how to take the GPU out of the case.
Thanks for this I just found one in the garbage and reinstalled windows works fine now. Plan to slowly build it up and hopefully hackintosh it.
I love your hp pc videos bro !

Hoping I can do this on the Ryzen TP01. Great video man. Ty
You can 100%
i Kinda like the front cover on that TP.

Budget or max it out. Max - RTX 4070 Budget 1660ti or 6600

Yes if it is a available if it has a external Gpu any type should run better.
Wow! Pretty cool.
I try.
Is it possible to install water cooling on a gpu to fit these hp units like the HP M01-f1124? If so, could you please make a video about it?

Does the white version of this from Wal Mart have an Ethernet Port on the back? I always forget to check, it's a TP01-3003w
Hey do u know how to fix the plastic ring around the the headphone jack if it is chipped
Look on ebay for a bare case. swap it out. or just do a case swap its under 250$ if you plan I will have a video out soon, on how to do this
Keep up the good work you're awesome
