What about the defense, Kyle Walker shut Vinicius Junior down, Ruben Dias is one of the best transfers made in recent memory because he's one of the reasons why Manchester City have gotten to 2 champions league finals in the last 3 seasons his impact on the defensive end has been spot on and he's a leader and that's what you need in this talented side. Real Madrid had 2 balloons d'ors on the field and got humiliated like a second division team. I remember all the offside goals vs Bayern, against Liverpool bad referring, and the exceptional things Benzema did last year. Man City is a machine, pure football, they have at least one of the best players in the world in each position and the speed they are passing the ball is excellent. Because this City team is built on the collective knowledge of all that has happened in the past including that 2011 Barca team. This City team would know exactly how that 2011 Barca team would play. But when that Barca team would see the speed of todays game, the intensity of pressing and the work rate off the ball and how all 11 of the City players defend as a unit, that Barca team would not know what hit them. @@rapden18 You may be entirely too young and/or stupid to understand the evolution of a sport. I have seen 4 generation of footballers now and every generation is better than the one that preceded them. The "individual talent" you speak off is almost always beaten by the "collective" because after all this is a team sport. And even talents vary. Erling Haaland has 10% of Messi's "individual talent" but he is banging goals like a prime Messi and he is just 22! You know why? Because whatever "individual talent" Haaland lacks is compensated by the fact that his off the ball movement and timing is the best I have ever seen. He will never need to dribble past 6 guys to score. He will find the space, he will time his runs and he will tap them in. And he will do that at pace set by CR7 and Messi. This is what you call evolution. Don't be that idiot who thinks things don't get better. They almost always do. If they didn't we would still all be playing on Atari 2600 or Commodore 64.

From what I remember, last year it was exactly the same except for last 5-7 mins of the second leg. This Madrid team is so overhyped but somehow they won last year.
They had a more complete squad last year. This year their LB Mendy has barely played, always being injured, lost Casemiro, his 100 mill replacement is benched, and Modric, Benz and Kroos are a year older. Bound to lose that midfield battle when you don't put the youth in.

City, Paris and soon Newcastle don t have that anymore. They are used by oil money countries/cooperations as a shiny new toy to polish their image in the world. Real Madrid had 2 balloons d'ors on the field and got humiliated like a second division team. Real through out the years have won a lot of champions leagues with luck, referee bad judgements and individual talent. I remember all the offside goals vs Bayern, against Liverpool bad referring, and the exceptional things Benzema did last year. Man City is a machine, pure football, they have at least one of the best players in the world in each position and the speed they are passing the ball is excellent. I have never seen a champion league semi final so imbalance
Yeah exactly, City have been much better than Madrid for years and usually when Madrid won the Ucl there were better teams that season but they pulled it off in the end, sometimes with the help of refs and a bit of luck but this result against City was coming, they're different class compared to Madrid and pretty much everyone rn, also Bayern performanced much better than Madrid against City. City will probably remain the best itw until Pep leaves
Funny Ale.... that's been all that's been said. "RM is a different team in CL, they rise to the occasion blah blah ". Truth is, they should have been put out last year by City as well

It's funny they have haaland on the thumbnail when he didn't score any goals and the guy who subbed for him with a minute to go did.
He makess the difference ..Julián Álvarez pressed a lot, recovered the ball, created the play for his teammates and ended up finishing with quality. is very good
This looked like the 2011 CL final. Pep against a world class manager who was completely at sea during the entire game. In 2011 it was Fergie, today it was Anecelloti.
Pep's team in 2011 was much better than their team today.
@@opacino Was your IPhone 4 from 2011 better than your IPhone 14 Pro Max of 2023? Were your 480p videos of 2011 better than 4k HDR of 2023?
If you took that 2011 Pep's team and changed nothing from that team, this Man City team will run them over. Why? Because this City team is built on the collective knowledge of all that has happened in the past including that 2011 Barca team.
This City team would know exactly how that 2011 Barca team would play. But when that Barca team would see the speed of todays game, the intensity of pressing and the work rate off the ball and how all 11 of the City players defend as a unit, that Barca team would not know what hit them.
Things get better because they are built on collective knowledge of all that has happened. This City side is better, not necessarily greater.
Similarly the 1st IPhone was the greatest ever because it was miles ahead of the competition. But are you still holding on to that?
@@JW-be8wf absolute stupid analogy the players in that Barca team were way too good individually for this city team We’re talking abt prime Xavi Iniesta Busquets prime Messi
