Pep is a master of the game and his tactics forced those mistakes in Bayern's defense. Luck is used as an excuse for those who were not willing to fight till the last minute. The Madrid of last year was the definition of not giving up till the last whistle was blown. Even this year again they dominate PL teams. They were 2-0 down on aggregate heading into the second half and didn’t look like they were going to do shit. Donurumma made a goalkeeping error to give them their first goal (135mins into the tie), that’s what switched the tides. They were not the best team in Europe last year PSG, City and Chelsea all bottled their games (which happens often in knockout tournaments) (they still finished 2nd in La liga). 2014-17 was a completely different Real Madrid, that was a team that actually dominated games. Glad to see city expose that team this season.

Nah rudiger wouldn't change anything, imo the main problem of madrid was their midfield. It was practically non existent. They couldn't hold the the ball more than a minute in first half.
