How long do you sit at the union hall before they get you an assignment on average? Do they have a place for you to stay while you wait for an assignment or do you have to stay in a hotel on your own dime until they give you an assignment? Great channel man. I’ve seen people in the SIU make 15k a month with not a single college degree & has felonies on there records.. sometimes it is hard to believe because of the world you live in .. but SIU is a way to get out the hood & actually do something with your life . SIU is also one of the only jobs where you can make what someone would usually make in a year .. in just a few months .. & that’s the truth .. if you ever need me to speak to them .. Am , living in west Africa Angola am struggling to be there and work as seaman I got really back ground about oil field working on differents great companies.
Luckily enough I live in Houston & actually got introduced to SIU from a friend of a friend in 2019 & he actually took us to the union hall which is only 20-30mins away from me so if everything goes well I won't have to make a long trip to the hall. EDIT: drop the video por favor

I'm wondering if it's 40k and then with 4 hours overtime if it's $80k? Another good video would be about the gear and technology you bring to the ship! I report in Maryland in May, it's been a very long application process, looking forward to Phase 1!
It’s all about how much you decide to work .. so yes , he’s right ... if you do a Rotary contract which is 120 as an AB .. you can easily make 40k but if you go out multiple times a year ... you can honestly make 80k+ it all depends on how much you work

It’s a reading and comprehension test . I would advised that he continues to take practice reading test online until he feels comfortable & ready to take the test again . ( on the test they just make you read a paragraph & answer the questions)
No you don't, but you will be a C Book Member, the lowest on the totem pole. You will be competing against A & B Book Members. So going to The Apprentice Program gives you a leg up.
