- This is the Dangers of being a Merchant Marine Sailor ! With Ship Accidents Caught on Camera! This video will show you the importance of being aware of what you are doing as a Sailor & How you can protect yourself from get hurt while out at Sea. Most shipping companies practice safety first but sometimes small mishap take place & people usually get hurt an in worst cases even die. Now I’m not trying to scare anyone from becoming a Salior . I’m just trying to make you aware of some of the dangerous situations you could be in . An how to protect yourself in others if you see something out of the ordinary happening. Famo not everybody die from a tension line. I've seen personally a wire hit a person, a severe unconscious didn't die, went into a coma but didn't die on aircraft carrier. some people just may have broken bones
