    When this was filmed Drummer Aldridge in his mid 60s and so was vocalist Coverdale, amazing! Final ever Whitesnake tour this year with Coverdale 70. Saw them first in 1982. Thanks David for all your music.

    Tommy Aldridge (drummer) has been going hard at this level since the 60's

    They have one song called “Slide it in”and a another one called”Slow and Easy”!! Oh yes I love these guys! One of my faves from the late 80’s early 90’s.

    The drummer in this video was in the reaction video that you did for Mr. Crowley back in 1981. Tommy is still KILLING IT!

    So sad to see Coverdale age, he's a legend in my heart, can still sing so fine though, i didn't expect half as much as he gave in this 2019 tour.

    Got to love a bit of Whitesnake. Seen them loads of times in late 70`s and early 80`s. Met DC a few times as well. He was always great with the fans.

    David Coverdale was 67-68 on this tour and drummer Tommy Aldridge was 68-69. Reb Beach (Winger, Dokken, The Mob, Black Swan) & Joel Hoekstra (Night Ranger, Michael Sweet, Joel Hoekstra's 13) are both great guitarists. Coverdale has always worked with great guitarists.

    When the "machine" is running smoothly, in synch, it's a spiritual experience. Very meditative and captivating. Truly, a work of art. Of the gods. Thank you both for your musical insights. 🧡🧡

    The drummer is the One and ONLY, LEGENDARY Tommy Aldridge!!!! Started getting recognized when he was with Black Oak Arkansas, has played with Pat Travers, OZZY among others and has been with Whitesnake since the mid 80s and is highly sought after studio drummer by many artists. He was the perfect drummer to come into Whitesnake taking over from another Legendary drummer, the WONDERFUL, LATE GREAT GREAT Cozy Powell!! My favorite drummer of ALL TIME!!! GR8 REACTION TO a GR8 band!!! 👍 In this video you were in the island nation of Great Britain 🇬🇧 time to head to another island nation, the Wonderful country of Japan 🇯🇵 and get into Galneryus and their song Angel of Salvation!!!!!

    Props to Tommy Aldridge on drums and Reb Beach (Winger) & Joel Hoekstra (TSO & Night Ranger) on lead guitars! Great Live band! Reb Beach is an amazing guitarist!

    Another great 80's hair metal band for a reason. The concerts were events that would premier new albums coming out "next month" sometimes too and got fans excited because they might hear it live before the release date on the radio. Oh have times changed and I don't say the better.

    Liked and subscribed. A quick story- I spent my career running 18 wheelers and larger trucks. One night I was on I-20 between about 1am. between Birmingham, AL and Atlanta, GA, where there is a series of 3 hills. I had slid this the album in and by chance and sheer luck the ebb and flow of the song matched what the truck was doing; either going up or down grade. It was totally cool and I caught myself wondering "what the hell just happened?" Have a good day.

    This song's groove is easily the sexiest groove of the metal 80's - Sykes' guitar work is beyond amazing, Reb and Joel definitely do it justice though !! Tommy is such a beast on the drums too !!!

    Tommy played with Ozzy when Ozzy released his first solo album. Joel Hoekstra is a new guitarist to me but he's awesome. I believe the other guitarist is Reb Beech of Winger fame from the late 80s. He no joke in his own right.

    I saw this tour in 2015, The Dead Daisies opened up -- great show. It was great hearing them perform some of the Deep Purple classics from when Coverdale was in Deep Purple.

    David just a monster to be able to sing like that in his late 60's just unbelievable.i love the way ken tamplin said about david's voice 'if hemi engine could sing that's gonna sound like david'

      @Yoran Idiot agree mate.i love both.david voice definitly didn't hold up well like glenn.he didn't take care of it.but we have to say it's beyond amazing to sing like that for a guy in his 70's.meanwhile Paul Rodger still sound amazing till this day.

    • @Nissardpertugiu
      @Nissardpertugiu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Yoran Idiot Glenn is one case on 1000.
      David did pretty good for a long time, with all that touring in heavy vocals ( That Glenn didn't ), for a low baritone as well ( that Glenn isn't )
      Also one thing, David s real style always been gritty .
      And because you have more growl, you so called hard or heavy metal fans, are doing pussies that is bad or its shot.
      Its a technique for god s sake.

    • @Nissardpertugiu
      @Nissardpertugiu 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      David still has good rest still.
      The problem is :
      He s touring too much to recover in physical strenght that his style requires ( yes Singing Coverdale in support is tough as fuck).
      And he did avoided for a long time still his pre american career that was more..
      Balanced, more confortable, and not just high belting.

    Thru his time started out with Deep Purple after Ian Gillan was let go to his current band, Whitesnake, David Coverdale never lost his vocals. He and few singers in their 70's such as Sammy Hagar and Klaus Meine of Scorpions still has their powerful vocals.

    • @MrTech226
      @MrTech226 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      By the way, speaking of Deep Purple, David Coverdale is a Hall of Famer in Rock Hall of Fame being member of Deep Purple. Back in the 80's, David Coverdale joined Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin formed supergroup called Cover/Page, only one album in 1993.

    • @MrTech226
      @MrTech226 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jimmy Page wanted to reunite with his bandmates, John Paul Jones and Robert Plant for possible album and tour. At 1st, Robert welcomed the idea of a reunion, but he decided against it because reunion would have stalled his solo career. So, Page had his label, same label as Whitesnake's contact Coverdale for possible collaboration.

    Yeah, he's really tailed off and he uses the trick of getting the crowd to sing parts so he can regain his breath (Vince Neil does the same thing now). Sucks getting old, I know I'm old too. I do admire that he's still going in his late 60's here (He's 70 now).

    • @Nissardpertugiu
      @Nissardpertugiu 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you watch live from 1994 or 1990 he was doing this.
      Its calling participation of the crowd.
      Also belt that song is far from being the easiest thing to handle, especially on tour .
      And especially at his age, in his setting voice ( verdi baritone ) .

    I was never a huge Whitesnake fan but I saw them open for Judas Priest in 2008 and they were great. I've always thought Coverdale has an amazing voice, curious to see how he sounds ten years later from the concert I saw. OK now I'll watch, I may be back to let you know if he has lost that great voice.

    The sad thing about Whitesnake is Coverdale fired the guitarist John Sykes who made the most recognized songs of the band from 1987 album... the man is a God guitar player, same level of RR, EVH, Hendrix, etc... the thing is after John Sykes was fired, the Whitesnake band ALWAYS NEEDED TWO guitar players lol

    You've got to listen to the original music video. David Coverdales voice is shot in this performance, a shadow of what he was truly capable of back in the day. Check that one out and you'll see the difference
