Great vocals!
Yeah!!! Amazing!!!
Agree!
Yeah..its good man
💯
Crushed it!!!!
Mats vocals as good as any I’ve ever heard!
Is he Mats Levén?
this dude's voice is no joke...
They did great!.
Very cool! David Coverdale need to hire the singer to be in Whitesnake! lol
Wow! The Vocals are spot on! Killer job all of them!
is Mat Levén- ex Yngwie / Krux / Therion / Candlemass just to name a few of the bands
@@simonmontano8075 great singer, Yngwie's "Facing the Animal" is brilliant as is "Chained" by At Vance
@@markbro4427 Of course. I knew him very well. I was Jeff Scott Soto and Marcel Jacob webmaster. Cheers!
@@markbro4427 Causality Ronnie Romero - how was the last singer before Levén - was playing with MSG
@@simonmontano8075 no wonder the vocals were great
I also didn't expect Frank Hannon to play that lead! Sweet!
Who is this freaking guy on vocals????!!!
Mats Leven
@@ckramer1964
Wow the greatest rock singer!
He kills David Coverdale
Man when frank does that John Sykes break down lead and that singer blows your head off with those vocals. I'll bet frank from tesla was dam this is amazing. That singer has to be 1 of the best on that boat. 🤘
Gotta LOVE Vandenberg and Tesla !! Old-school hardrock rulezz! 🤘🤘
Nice job on this song, Adrian Vandenberg is a great guitarist. The vocals are spot on. Love this video. Frank kills it too!! 🎸
Wow! They killed it in the BEST way. Vocals were stunningly well done. The rhythm section held it down perfectly and the fretwork was fun.
Yes Good,,, But SYKES is Only One Who Can PLAY,,IT,,,,, .👍
Thank you for posting! Wat a rendition .... great band and that vocal.... superb !
another masterpiece by John Sykes
Great vocal, has to be said.
More Coverdale than Coverdale, kind of
The singer sounds more like David Coverdale used to than Coverdale does now. Great job!
well, I have no words. Excellent. Close your eyes and listen, you'd swear the original lineup was playing. Vocals.....A+++ just like the record.
Mats Leven. No words. There’s a reason he’s one of the goto singers for hire. So versatile as well.
M a t s L e v e n - wow, loved him back when he was singin' for Treat in the early 90s, he is still one of the best singers out there ... killer version of that song, wish I had been there to experience it for myself ...
The kick drum!!❤
Great performance by the entire band + Frank Hannon! He is such an underrated guitar player who can play just about anything/any style. Doesn't hurt that his father-in-law is Dickie Betts!
Frank is so underrated, what a great player!
According to musician’s rating encyclopedia, he’s rated exactly where he belongs.
Yes, that is correct@@briant4787 👍
Still of the Night timeless. I used to blast this cruising around in the 80’s.
Outstanding performance all around but good god that vocalist is absolutely phenomenal! Damn that dude can sing. That’s not an easy song to play at all…they crushed it.
Alright! Better than I thought it would be. The bass players rig sounded really good too.
Love Frank Hannon but no one does justice to this song like Jon Sykes
Holy shit! Where did this singer come from? He nails this song.
Mats Leven
@@davidcapra7995 he was the singer on Facing the Animal album and tour with Yngwie Malmsteen
tesla
I saw Whitesnake in 90 with Adrian, Steve Via and Rudy Sarzo on bass, and of course Aldridge on the skins,,,, You talk about a guitar stacked lineup.... That was it..
Awesome all round performance. I remember attending Vandenberg’s Heading For a Storm concert, back in the early 80’s. “Friday Night” was their main song that got airplay. I loved all the songs on the album.
I was like "holy crap, the vocals" and scrolled down to see everyone else saying the same thing! LOL What a killer lineup.
What a frickin GREAT MIX and performance!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Frank Hannon plays a great! Very similair to Sykes-version. Now you know why Whitesnake has always had another guitarist next to Adrian ;)
Yeah, Adrian not much to write home about when comparing to Sykes or most of the others. I still like some of his work, he just seems to struggle more than the others live
Way to go Frank! It's a cover song for both of them anyway. That singer is great.
Matts Levens always delivers , everything he sings is impressive .listen to the cd Revertigo . great project
Frank Hannon is a beast!
Mat sounds great ! Ole boy on that SG did nice work too... Hail to the great John Sykes as the rest look meekly on in the words of Coverdale himself
Amazing vocals. Thought I was hearing Whitesnake.
Wow! vandenberg is in his early 60's and leven and Hannon are 60! Unbelievable performance.
What a minute! That run in the solo is the stuff of legends and Frank f’n nailed it! I have never seen an accurate transcription of it. I don’t think one exists. There are lessons on TH-cam that come nowhere close. Give us the notes, Frank!!!
I thought the same thing! He played the best version I've seen so far. Hell, not even Skyes did it well from that one video where he sang, too. But Frank kills it!
That’s a great singer Sounds close to Coverdale….always loved Adrian as a guitarist So glad I got to see the 87 lineup back in the day on this tour Them and motley was one hell of a show back in the day Classic Whitesnake lineup
So amazed how great they covered this Awesome job!!!!
Have had the good fortune to see Tesla twice, Frank Hannon never disappoints. Awesome!!
This song only requires one guitar player and that is Sykes.
I remember seeing WS in 88 or 89 with Adrian and Steve Vai.
Cripes! Close your eyes and its 1988 again Holy Smokes. Best Cover period. Wow! Adrian is still a Delight on the guitar. Thanks for sharing.
Check out the cover by Jeff Blando. You won’t be disappointed 🤘
David Coverdale hasn’t sound that good in years.
BEST VERSION IN 4 DECADES!!!!!!
Vandenberg/Frank hannon does justice to the whitesnake song. Rock on guys
Wow. Wish I would have been there. Awesome. Great vocals and guitars.
They should just rename themselves Whitesnake and replace Coverdale and his sad and sorry bunch.
Frank impressed on the solo. He’s a bad dude!
Two excellent guitar players from that era paying homage to what a bad muthafucker John Sykes is.
Sykes is top shelf shit... A complete master
Holy shit! This is AWESOME! 😃
Two of my fav 80's guitar players! Great jam! Great singing!
Frankie! Or was that Sykes playing?!?! 🙌🏻🙌🏻❤
I dunno if Id go that far, but he definitely smokes any version of Vandenburgs solo that Ive heard yet
John sykes was on another level..
Clicked because of Frank and left AMAZED by the vocals Wooowwwa
Adrians knowledge of good music is wellknown, more please?
Vocals are the closest to Coverdale's ,from the 80's, that I've heard, well done! Close my eyes,I could picture David Rockin' out with the mic stand.👌👍
Sykes
I've loved Vandenberg since day one 😊
Me to
Great performance for such a powerfull song. Only the best musicians can put out a performance like this one. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Damn right brother! This performance is no joke! Killer 🤘🤘
This singer is incredible
Saw vandenberg 3 times during their last tour ( all Dutch shows) Different drummer.. Adje still kicks ass in his 70s. Mats has 1 hell of a voice
Awesome!!!
John Sykes is the best!!!!
Frank Hannon owning it!!
Great performance of a great classic. Vocal nails Coverdale vibe. What music was all about in those great 80s!
Awesome!!!!! not so many times a singer can nail this almost as good as David could in his prime. The rest of the band just ROCKS with lineup Adrian and Frank... wow
Awesome vocals love this song who is singing?vandenberg former whitesnake guitarist one of the greats too
Mats Leven
Not Sykes / Aldrich / Hoekstra level but Frank Hannon pulled off that monster lead quite well. And Mats Leven = vokills
Wow definitely a bucket list moment for Frank. He looks like he’s 17 years old up there with that joy
Brilliant! Great performance by everyone
Absolute killer
Totally rocking
What a great show!
#needsmorejohnsykes
I bought a Peavey Vandenberg guitar so I could be like my hero. Why the hell is he playing a Les Paul?
Fuuuu, this was great. Wish I would have been there. Adrian and Frank, what can you say?
Damn who's the singer? For a minute I thought it was Coverdale.
Dejen de chorear con Whitesnake loco...encima son horribles...
They all did good but Mats Leven on vocals KILLED IT! Holy crap that was amazing, especially for a live performance like this. He's freaking 58 years old (!!!) and hitting all the notes just like the record. Why isn't Mats on every streaming rock channel???
Good Voice.i dont think Coverdale at this point can sound like that anymore
Very few left of this super kick ass generation who’s still got vocals like that and killing it! I forgot how much I loved this song, got the chills!
Thank you for sharing. Please come to Japan!
DAM!!
They just owned that tune!!
And the vocals were spot on!!
WoW
Vocals - WOW!
lame crowd. commenter nailed it below. great vocals
Yeah that’s just crushing! 🤘🤘
singer nailed it
Never listened to Vandenberg before. They all nailed a classic though!!! First Whitesnake song I ever heard in the 80's as a kid.
th-cam.com/video/6wfKFWbFMuM/w-d-xo.html
is he playing 3/4 size guitar?
What a fuckin' vocal holy shit!!
Fantastic! 🤘❤️🤘
Wow that was fun and the singer is amazing 😮
