I fucking saw this tour! I saw the first 3 tours! YEE-HAW!!! Aaaauuuhhhg! Still of Night! Cool Moonlight! I was eighth row for this one and it was DAMN LOUD! I don’t think people who weren’t there understand just how fucking LOUD some of these concerts were! This was before all the limitations and whatever people complained about. Drinking, smoking, getting loud and rowdy, we didn’t just sit there! Weed getting passed around was standard operating procedure. Those were the days as they say. 😁👍
We Rocked and Partied Hard in the 80’s! I’m sure some of today’s younger people would be shocked at how we did it. Pretty sure your mouth would be hanging open! Ha Ha! WHOOoooo!

While Whitesnake's most artistic days were ten years in the rearview, you couldn't tell it by this video. Ergo, for a minute, it's 1987 again, on the faces of these young people; so many I follow now because I found them here. #AlexHive I'm comin' for you. Thanks #Momma! Your move, #DerekBrooks.

David stayed over one night, O.J. still had a key. David woke up in the middle of the night, to find O.J. hovering about 3 inches above his face, threatening to kill him. In the video for "Still of the Night", part of the instrumental string interlude is visualized using a bow on an electric guitar but the strings were recorded by Don Airey using either a synthesizer or a sampler. Also, it's funny that the only person in the video that is actually on that recording is Coverdale.

There are two songs I always relate to football (american football or "futbol americano" as we say here in México), "touch and go" by Emerson, Lake & Palmer (wich I would love to see in your montage videos wondermomma) and "still of the night" by Whitesnake. In the 80's when tv channels cut for commercial or return from them, those were they songs of choice, "touch and go" was used in mid 80´s, when I was at elementary school and "still of the nigh" at late 80´s,when I was at junior high and then high school, and listen to them as a young kid was awesome, I wanted to crank up the volume of my little 14" remote control "cancún" philips color tv. thanks wondermomma, your my time machine, you always get me back in time, the best of times! greetings from Monterrey, México.

@@WonderMommaOG Yes, it happened to me all the time with a lot of songs, they take me back to my school, junior high and high school days. "Too much time on my hands" by Styx came out in '81, I was 8 years old and never watched "the Empire strikes back" (only the behind the scenes special), until the 1989 christmas, when a National tv station played a Star Wars all day marathon (I guess no one called like that at that time). A little later every time I heard "to much time.." I related it to "the Empire...". I fall asleep with the radio turned on, I can't sleep if I don't, and sometimes I even hear songs in my dreams. One cold night "too much time..." was on the radio and I heard it while I was dreaming, suddendly, I was in the Echo base of the planet Hott from "the Empire...", searching for members of the rebel Alliance, I guess that's the power of good 'ol music.

Hope your Thanksgiving was great WM. Did the bow remind you of Zeppelin in Denmark on black and white Tv? Or Page at MSG in 73?:))

The lead singer, David Coverdale was in his mid to late 30s at the time of this song. Can you imagine as a rock singer that you'd still have pipes like this at that age???

Grew-up in the 70s, but the 80s music was equally banging. Just when you thought "excess" was the definition of the 70s, the 80s came rolling along.

the singer, David Coverdale and the model Tawny Kitaen were married at this time. unfortunately Kitaen died just a few years later. the bands name Whitesnake 'supposedly' came from Davids own trouser snake which is/was reeportedly pretty big........dont know about Sykes but i do know Adrian Vandenberg is one hell of a guitarist

Initially the female role of the "Whitesnake woman" was planned for the pre-fame Claudia Schiffer, but the night before the shoot the plan fell apart. Coverdale's future wife Tawny Kitaen was chosen to be play the role
