Does The Bible Condone Slavery? If so, what kind of Slavery was it? Did God command its use? How have these verses been used (and misused) throughout history?
This is a panel of five biblical scholars, each with a unique area of specialisation, who have agreed to come on and address this uncomfortable but important subject. The panel aims to communicate a consensus perspective on Slavery within the bible, along with addressing apologetics found within the works of Jordan Peterson, Frank Turek, William Lane Craig, GotQuestions.com, Mike Winger, Jon McCray, Allen Parr, Paul Copan, Doug Wilson and Answers in Genesis.
This will be the go-to resource for those interested in Slavery within the Bible.

Where the hell do you get your morality from??
That remains a valid question. Am I to just accept slavery is wrong just because modern made-up rules say so? Where is the authority behind that madeup morality?? As no god has ever said that slavery is wrong, why should I take that assertion of its wrongness as some gospel truth????????

That’s a totally fair question, it’s one that unfortunately doesn’t have a satisfactory answer for theists.
As a theist, you will constantly be looking outwardly for guidance, is something okay, check the holy text, is this thing not mentioned, pray and ask God.
The reality is, morality is an argument that has an entire field of philosophy debating it. But here are a few clues that I think adequately demonstrate that morality is not derived from someone’s favourite holy text.
Every single apologist we looked into gave reasons for why slavery wasn’t “that bad” or that it was an “anti-poverty program” why? Because they had a subjective feeling that told them that it was wrong.
Is it okay to own slaves? Ahhh
Are women worth less than men? Ahhh
Should we kill infants of nations we are at war with? Ahhh
Every apologist will find a way to reframe these things to make them palatable for their audience, why? Because people can sense that they are wrong.
If people can sense that they’re wrong, why do we need a holy text to confirm?

@@DeepDrinks people do NOT "naturally/intuitively" sense that something is wrong with these. They are are merely CONDITIONED by modern western society to FEEL that something is wrong with any of these things. The apologists you refer to are simply 21st century people brought up in western societies that have been heavily conditioned to see something wrong with killing babies in war, slavery or patriachy-ABSOLUTELY NO ONE in any pre-modern society ever saw any of these as fundamentally wrong in & of themselves. I am a conservative Christian who believes that these modern western apologists are part of the very problem associated with atheism-they start their reasoning with modern western values that are foreign to scripture.
