I take time and pride in detailing my ride as I find it therapeutic
While my car was rolling through the wash, I popped the glovebox. As I reached over to grab something, my body was off of my seat. This put the car into PARK. As the car wasn't moving, it jammed up the conveyor belt. The attendant had to come for a quick inspect as I set the car into Neutral. The rolling resumed again after a few minutes halt. So, the car will be put into park mode if it thinks no one is in the driver's seat.

I use car wash mode but a few times free roll didn’t enable and I had to go into neutral mode at last second.
Yeah it’s tricky and stressful
I actually think it's better to put it into neutral first THEN put it into car wash mode. At first I used to click the free roll function in the car wash mode but it took quite long to get there especially considering you're being rushed

I have a membership for carwash i get a car wash once a week and my car is always looking spanking new. If i were to handwash my own car everyweek it would take me 2-3hours.
And besides its not like its a lambo or ferrari haahah
Poor paint… Those car washes are brutal on the clear coat.

Ceramic coating a car isn't a reason to be taking a car to an automatic car wash. Nither is PPF. If you have the money to ceramic coat a car and apply PPF you have the budget to hire a detailer or at the very least hand wash your own car. Never take a car regardless of what PPF or "Ceramic Coating" you have on it to an automatic car wash, the coating will begin to get eaten off layer by layer and eventually the PPF film will provide this slight yellowish hue (12-24mo). I learned my lesson the hard way back in 2017 when I used car-washes on blue metalic paint, boy oh boy no more. At least you took one for the team!
