My favorite movie of all time .. I saw it in the theatre and couldn't stop crying .. I was only 10yrs old .. I couldn't breath .. What a classic !🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹😎
2018 version of A star is born is a complete joke. An overrated obstacle of a joke. Was the director, producer, screen play , casting director absent?? !!
In real life, Kris was also battling addiction, and he said seeing this scene on screen helped him start trying to get sober because he realized that that could be his fate in real life with his daughter and his family looking at his own dead body.
The part of the Babs version that breaks my heart is when she is sitting in the rocking chair after his death and she hears him singing in the house and she calls out his name. Turns out it's a tape recorder. He had been composing "With One More Look At You" which she sings at the end of the movie. I cried.😭
That was while they were making it, when the fights between them were pretty heavy (and not helped by Jon Peters' jealousy. Afterward, when he had quit drinking, he said that Barbra had had a better idea than he had of how much good that film would do him, and he was deeply grateful to her, both for not losing faith in him and in enabling him to recognize that he had a serious drinking problem. People need to know the rest of this particular story.
I just watched the remake to this! I have always heard of this movie and how Barbara wanted Elvis for this movie. I had no idea he passed away!!! My heart was going a million miles a minute then I looked up the original just now. So sad and disappointing. I feel like I lost my own husband watching this. Can’t imagine the pain.
