Thank you, 🌹🌿 Mr. Letterman!
Kris Kristofferson made an incredible impact during his life. As a former Army Rangers captain, he served his country with honor and courage, completing rigorous training in Airborne, Ranger, and flight schools.
His commitment didn’t stop there; he volunteered to fly helicopters in Vietnam but instead chose to share his love of literature as a professor at West Point.
His contributions, both in the military and as an artist, will always be remembered and appreciated. Thank you, Kris, for everything you did! RIP sweetheart!

Rest in peace Kris, he was a REAL MAN. Kind, sexy, great heart❤
One cool and talented dude . Thank you for all the entertainment over these many years. You are just great.
He was truly a fine man. Rest in Paradise Kris Kristofferson.
My heart is breaking 💔 Best of the Star is Born movies was with Kris and Barbra! He was a wonderful man, song writer, singer, actor and a humorous character ❤️
Kris & Barbara were absolute "magic" in A Star is Born. So very sad to see him go. But what a life he led! ❤️🎶🎸🙏🪽🇺🇲
Rest in peace. Your music, writing, acting wilt forever live on for generations to come. Please give a great hug to the man in Black for me.
Awesome actor. A Star Is Born was one of my most favorite films. "Walk good my friend".
He was the real deal. A truly honest soul. Such terrific interviews he always had. ❤
I fail hills over him when I saw him in "A Star is Born." After that i keep up with his career. Love his voice
What an incredible, complex in a good way man. RIP Kris- you were one of a kind.
"Why me, Lord ?" An Unbelievable "witness, testimony "......... Life changing..........No words..............
Very smart & sexy. RIP Kris.
When Letterman says “sir” it is respect.
Quality interview. Dave let him talk. That means something. I love them both. RIP Highwayman
He was gorgeous and talented, musicaly and as a actor!❤
I can't believe that someone like this slipped under my radar my whole life. The man is a legend, and for all the right reasons, he was an incredible human being.
Kris was one cool cat. So smart, beautiful, talented… and most of all, humble.
What a wonderful interview - Dave is on top form and Kristofferson is a really interesting, thoughtful and plain-speaking guest. Classic Letterman. RIP Kris.
Fascinating, you could listen to Kris all day, with his stories and adventures.
This was filmed in 1984. At that time, David Letterman was 37 years old, and Chris was 48.
Kris...
Please don't correct him
@@jeffreyj3906 why not…..let’s get his name correct for the record….
@@fastdude2002 Because it's rude to correct people. Or the way I was raised it was. You do you, I know how and who Kris Kristofferson was personally
@@jeffreyj3906 It’s disrespectful to get his name wrong. If it’s left unchallenged eventually his name becomes Chris. Don’t be such a thin skinned snowflake. Someone who is secure with who they are does not mind being corrected. I don’t mind being corrected as I don’t want to go through life ignorant. By the way your sentence structure leaves much to be desired. 😁
RIP legend greatest country songs written by a young man way beyond his years, he touched my life and millions more and his time on Earth is now immortalised.
So sad. I grew up with his music in Ireland. My parents had his LPs and we played them to death on our old record player as kids. He was a true star and gentleman. May he rest in peace ✌️🕊️
Just showing this down-to-earth video was a beautiful tribute to one of the greatest and most creative musical minds of our time--and music was only one of his accomplishments in a long and rewarding life.
He always speaks his heart.
RIP Kris!
Never have I seen Dave more engaged
Except with Johnny Depp
R.I.P. Rest in Paradise Kris Kristofferson!
Loved him in A Star Is Born and singing Me And Bobby McGee, he truly will be missed!
RIP ❤ 😢
Saw you in A Star is Born a number of times great film.
Love from the UK 🇬🇧
Another legend gone, but never forgotten. Thanks for you.❤
1 of the true greats. The word legend gets used too much. I'll just say Kris is an icon. A true music God.
RIP Mr. Kristofferson.
Losing these legends is getting close to home…
Kris may even be a single drop of rain. But he will remain. He'll be back again and again and again. Great impactful, talented human being.
I'm so sad Kris is gone. He was my first crush when I saw A star is Born all those years ago. RIP gorgeous man X
Me too. First crush. Most beautiful and talented man.
What wonderful man! Comes across as so humble and down to earth. A fabulous actor and so very handsome. Will be so very missed 😌❤️
Very smart & talented actor & musician.🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬🎬
Letterman YT channel does it again... saw this post 2 min after it was posted... Googled kris... yep he's gone...
❤❤❤
Every time you think you've heard it all about KK, he tells the story of the time he met Hemingway. What a life!😮
Tough loss, Rock on, superstar.
What a Legacy this man leaves behind. RIP Kris.
He was gorgeous ❤
RIP Kris. I have loved everything you have done. ❤❤❤
He was very fluent. Obviously an intelligent and complicated man. A very attractive man.
“Very fluent?” How so? Forgive me, but that and your other takes kinda baffle me.
A lot of people don't know Kris was a Rhodes Scholar. Pretty impressive.
And, by all accounts, a road scholar. That man lived a life.
He had to hide his education at the time he was trying to make it in Nashville. Because he "couldn't get arrested", despite having degrees in Literature and Creative Writing.
Rest well Kris 😢 your music 🎶 will live on to remember you by.
RIP Mr. Kristofferson. You were a major part of the soundtrack of our lives.
This dude lived the life. He was like superman. He could do anything and pretty much did. He also co wrote "Me and Bobby McGee" nuff said.
88 years is a long life.
88 sounds a long life until you're 87!😁
@@patrickambrose5372 I am actually 86. And I was in the 8th division exactly two years after him. Damn!
