I got the chance to meet her a few years ago when she was in concert in Manchester UK. I worked at the airport and my company was doing the ground handling for her aircraft. I had to pick her up at the back security gate and drive her to her aircraft. When I met her at security, I introduced myself to her and called her "Ms Gaga". She laughed and said "you can simply call me Stefani. Lady Gaga is a character.. a stage persona. Right now, I am just Stefani." The woman is TOTALLY grounded.

Yes, with Bradley Cooper she deserved the Oscar. Just like when Jennifer Lawrence got the Oscar and he didn't. He would have deserved the Oscar in both films...
She was also nominated for the best actress. The Oscar went to Olivia Coleman, but Gaga doesn't feel like she lost. She's sooo proud and happy for the best song award. I think I have never seen any songwriter to be so extremely proud of getting an Oscar. We all know Oscars are not for songs, and every songwriter dreams of getting a Grammy. This girl with 12 Grammies already (if I count them right) is so grateful like she's accoladed for the 1st time in her life. Does she ever realize she's a living legend?

Absolutely right. I thought she wasn't as "original" as the hoopla craze described. Until I started catching her videos on MTV or UH1(?). And really paid attention to her. Her lyrics, costumes, her sets, always a "different" story laid out before us(me). I grew to like, to appreciate Lady Gaga. It's in her name. She is a grown woman, yet has a baby with in. At least that's my take. I never did look up any info on her stage name. And no doubt I am incorrect. But she has shown vulnerabilities, and even times of personal breakdowns. She rallies strength...of her own or w/ help from a friend or two. The Lady has grown. Her tastes have morphed and she remarkably got the roll in A Star is Born. It literally proclaims what had been said all along ....was she good enough? Talented enough? Edgy enough? Pretty enough?? Does it matter? Did it ever matter??? It's Ms. Lady Gaga, a star who was born the day she was born. 💜🎶💜

Slaying every genre, piano acoustics and running circles in live performances w ease and grace. I think it's like media nerfed her talents so hard that people barely get to notice her vocal runs. But as for people like us who allowed ourselves to really understand her advocacy, message and impact thru her music and not the superficiality of her clothes. I became an instant fan from that on. My love for her grew bigger because of her piano live renditions to almost all her tracks in all albums. Thank G for footages and video evidences ☺️

I met her in 2012 when she chose me and a couple other people to go backstage because she liked our outfits. I told her how she helped me accept my sexuality and then we talked for 5 minutes about life, music and some politics. I will never forget that day ❤️

I waited a good while to watch A Star Is Born the remake. I finally did and was left in shock, in love, and speechless. Now the awards show them singing Shallow together, which I watched before the move, now I see the stunning work for what it was, and how meaningful to all who watched A Star Is Born.

Lady Gaga is my music idol. Her music back in 2009 got me through a breakup. I was so heartbroken and depressed but her songs were uplifting. I have her CD, a T with her photo and 'BORN THIS WAY' written on it. I also went to one of her concerts in Toronto Canada.

to be honest.. she never took my attention until "A star is born". she was just that famous "lady" for me. now, she is more than that :)
Nah she was and always be more than a mainstream pop diva. She was always been talented since 2008, she's been slaying the piano acoustic and live performances with ease and grace since then. People barely noticed her as a true artist because media has always been superficial on how they portrayed her, that's why people got past her artistry and talent because of how she expresses herself thru clothes and fashion. ☺️

I just watched "A Star Is Born" I loved it!. I never saw Lady GaGa without her Artistic wardrobe and make-up and did not recognize her until she started singing, she is amazing and Bradley Cooper was thrilling to watch and never knew he could sing or play music. The both of them together was just amazing, amazing. Congratulations to both of you. Now I'm learning to sing, "Shallow" beautiful beautiful song!

I'm from a rock/heavy metal background, so Lady Gaga's usual type of music isn't my thing. But 2 moments made me realize that she is the real deal: First was her appearance on Howard Stern's radio show, where she talked briefly about doing Led Zeppelin covers and proceeded to give a demo. She belted out Black Dog and it was very impressive! The next moment was her appearance with Metallica, at the 2017 Grammy awards. Terrific singer. She's awesome and I tip my hat to her...
