While playing the witcher 3, I've always wondered why no one recognized geralt's strength. If I'm in toe to toe fight with geralt I'd be shitting myself. Man is a walking death sentence if you're a monster.
In the books, Geralt is extremely powerful compared to other witchers. In Season of Storms, he punks Brehen (Cat of Aiello), making him back down and turn tail. Another younger unnamed witcher is killed by the striga/Foltest’s daughter and several witchers pass on her contact due to its difficulty. During his fight with the striga, Geralt thinks he could easily kill her but chooses to lift the curse. In the games, he kills an unnamed witcher in a Witcher 2 cutscene, kills Auckes and mortally wounds Serrit. He can optionally defeat Berengar, Letho, and/or Gaetan. I’d also count zombie Kiyan and a possessed Reinald as well. TLDR: Geralt is not just skilled but much stronger than his peers.
yeah kingslayer Letto was like twice as big as Geralt and still got his ass whooped (if I remember correctly letto was from school of viper ) and since witchers are mutated monks shouldnt witcher on witcher battle be done by silver sword instead of steel one ?
@@Philip_Constantinegeralt was especially capable of surviving mutations, so he underwent more than even the average witcher and became more capable because of it

Ciri the trouble maker grand daughter to vessimir ps the books author wished to have a answer to Trish or yen fight of geralt getting both but lived cp reds idea instead and said it's perfection
if I remember correctly Vezemir was the one who made trial of grass on geralt (which explains why only vezemir and geralt are the ones with grey/white hair out of all witchers
I think he's a horribly written character and for a game's main antagonist he was done dirty. Far too much is shown off screen and that breaks the golden rule of writing - show, don't tell. His character model is ridiculously proportioned to the point of deformity and the voice acting is a lazy generic tough guy trope. The character model should have been more body builder than obese and they should have forced Geralt and him together for a time so they could tease out the character's motivations and make him the sympathetic villain he's meant to be, rather than through cut scenes. Letho is the weak point of an otherwise solid game.

I've been going through a stressful and anxious period in my and life and I just want to say thank you. Your videos have really helped relax me and I'm making it through because of them you are criminally underrated and get way less attention than you deserve. Never stop making content thank you.
For those that don’t know geralt like ivar is a test Witcher and what I mean is usually depending on how many kids are taken in a group two to three boys are taken if they show promise and are exposed to more stronger cocktails of Witcher making potions and while geralt wasn’t as forcefully mutated as ivar geralt did face a much more grueling experience and the point was to make Witcher’s like ivar or geralt ones who stood above all their brothers of their groups and usually these cocktails are recorded for future use the point was to one day make the perfect Witcher even if it’s made on the bodies of probably thousands of kid
I played a D&D campaign with my little brothers where my person was a Witcher and made a Witcher school called school of the fox there symbol is a fennic fox there school is based in a desert they specialize in using illusion magic to take down there prey
Wish there was a proper Witcher Rpg were you made your own witcher and chose your own school to start in. As a way of choosing your fighting style and your education.
Do you feel the need to stick with the wolf style in game or something? You can do that right now in W3. Unless you are talking like some kind of Hogwarts legacy meets grand theft auto where you get a tutorial and early levels at a school of your choice before you go out into the world a nameless witcher to do witcher things. Which I would be a million percent behind.
I really don't appreciate that you do my cat boy dirty like that putting his art while calling out straight up evil villain Witchers. He wasn't a thug who did whatever he wanted from what I recall. Sure he's quite Hulklike and struggles with letting murderous rage get the better of him going too far, so correct me if I'm wrong on any points but the people kind of tried to kill him unjustly, and as skilled as Witchers are you and I both know they're not invincible even to man and Geralt has proven that many times over even as he ends up killing them in droves. You act like a frightened beast to a stronger equally frightened beast, and basically there's only one outcome out of two sides. I think he killed the whole village though? I don't remember if he had a good reason for those. Not that it helps anything. I can at least empathize with wanting revenge for the worst backstabbing most unremarkable near-death experience while struggling to get even a single coin because of discrimination and being not-Geralt who is capable of being an ideal person even without his mutations. If anything writing him off makes you no better than the villagers who are part of the problem and think only in binary (but at least they actually live in monstrous men and non-humans). Also there's very few Witchers now and I doubt he would be ranked among the worst given what people without mutations are capable of.
I really dont think Geralt is the strongest witcher. The most famous, the most adventures, in the top in strenght, sure. But the old ones (and letho) give him a run for his money.

Didnt the younger witcher die because he tried to lift the curse aswell instead of just killing the stryga?
