long episode ayyyy! let's go! Raphael's voice acting is incredible. He, Elmister, Astarion, and Lae'zel are my favorites so far I think. And Gale, of course. Eldritch Knight extremely good! and it's the strongest fighter subclass once you hit level 11. you don't use damaging spells with it, you pick up utility spells like shield, misty step, magic missile, etc (which are some of the best spells in the game) that don't rely on intelligence to cast. you spec them into strength and you can dump intelligence. it's a throwing build. seriously one of the strongest builds in the entire game with tavern brawler and items that increase throw damage. they can bind their weapon to return to them every turn when you throw it. Lae'zel makes an excellent EK.
I got a feeling these next few EPs are gonna be a bunch of long ones 😂. I'm not gonna want to put down the game when we get started in this temple. And that's some great information about the EK because I kinda don't understand the play style of it right now and it makes sense to just use some of the CC type stuff over big hitting spells. I bet she will hit like a truck with it as she does now in the champion spec.
Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for takeoff, as the plane is ready to fly the route Shadow Curse lands - Temple of the Goddess Shar. Yes! I've been waiting for this. This is the best area of ACT 2 in my opinion. Respectfully of course😂
Let's gooo! I'm so psyched to see your reaction to this place and everything in it 👀 next few episodes are gonna be some of the best so far Astarion absolutely destroys as gloomstalker/rogue. He pretty much carried my duo honor mode run (though I used assassin rogue). Ironically the other thing that carried my run was the gloves/boots combo you mention at 38:24. Just had my monk always doing radiant damage, then switched to tempest cleric and did thunder/lightning when radiant didn't work. They do stack, and I think every other gear that talks about reverberation or conditions stacks too. It's pretty insane
I'm so excited to see the story of this temple. Act 2 has been such a wonderful time and dark story. And it's so many gray combos we can do with gear and builds in this game. I'm definitely going to need to check out those gloves with the build for sure see how it stacks up to the fire damage gloves.
FYI the hunters mark can be reapplied after the first time without a spell slot. It basically is the perfect add in to every shot for a ranged shooter since it adds the 1d6 per hit.
I need to make sure I'm using it more he really won't be using much else for level one spells maybe the entangle stuff perhaps. Such a cool spec this gloomstalker.
@@Bowskiiexactly. It’s literally what I do for Astarion each time I play. And if you really want to start deleting foes, just add two levels of fighter for that Action Surge. So you get like 6 attacks in your first round. And once you get the right gear for the build in Act 3. It’s insanely OP.
Yeah, champion is okay but it's the most useful when multiclassed with other classes for the critical like rogue or barbarian. Battlemaster is just one of the best class. Maybe Laezel could go more into Barbarian instead of Ari,, level 9 barbarian get a bonus dice to crit so it goes well with champion. Another option since no one on your team is doing it is Berserker or Eldricht knight to throw stuff, that's always fun. Let's go Gauntlet of Shar time! The game really shines here, it's so cool.
I agree as I liked champion it was definitely minimal in stuff it can do but adding just 3 levels and then going the rest of the way in Barb would be strong as heck.
Just a headsup before you finish act 2, if you sell an empty bag to any vendor, transfer all of its inventory into that bag, if and when that vendor dies, that bag will 100% drop so you can loot it all. Also, every time the vendor inventory refreshes, he gets more money if you transfer the refreshed items into the bag also. You can refresh all vendors' inventory by leveling a character besides taking a long rest.
that's pretty cheeky lol would have never thought something like that would actually be a thing. I'm pretty solid on gold though I think we have 15k its so much gold atm that it is so heavy in Ari's bag lmao.
@Bowskii It's not considered an exploit imo as there have been other similar things that they've fixed in previous patches but never fixed this. It's also a good way to stock up on some potions like those juicy potions of angelic reprieve that only the hobgoblin sells in the entire game :)
