I'm here for Shar's trials!!! In my playthrough it was totally different... I was able to trick the demon 👿... But I didn't kill Balthazar until the very last moment. My friend Bowskii believe me, the fun part is yet to come!!! Great video! Keep it up!
lol hell yes my friend!! im stoked to see these trials you just know they are gonna be crazy as all hell considering its Shar stuff! LMAO Ari done walked in and killed Balthazar immediately we probably missed things and stuff doing that but all good F Balthazar.
Good instinct on killing Balthazar, he can pretty annoying later. That Yurgir encounter is insane, there's so many ways it can go. I kept getting surprised by other people doing it a different way. That said, my first time, i was playing a rogue sneaking around, cue the game sending me directly into combat when I got spotted, with no dialogue. I almost wiped haha. You crushed that encounter!
nice fights ! & you really wanted to haha. (nice to see halsin/druid participating. I did a druid as my main, that was very cool, too. by the way you should be able to give him something to shoot, too, just in case you want to just use bow or crossbow with him...) anyway good work!
hahah those fights were awesome! I had a blast with them. And Halsin is so bad ass I love all his forms we def will be using him a great deal I also need to give him a bow for sure.
Awesome video as usual! Cant wait for the next one and the next Inquisition video and I will be catching up with the inquisition videos now that I am done with the game myself and loved it! Question: Are you excited for the Mass Effect show they announced on N7 day? I’m so pumped!
If you want some help with ability check you might wanna prepare shart's spell "enhance ability", it gives you advantage on each stat check if you use it :) As for Balthazar, I silently hoped you'd steal his mother accidentally before talking to him, one of the most hilarious dialogues and best way to piss him off lol And Yurgir is a fun guy, can't wait for you to possibly meet him again in the future! I always have Nessa (his displacer) join me in this fight, it's ugly what's happening to her. Oh, and if you wanna know more about the rats, cast speak with the dead on Yurgirs bed ;)
I need to start using that ability. Ari is lacking on Wisdom and Charisma now a days I'm gonna need that to help us in convos I believe. And I'm not sure about the beast I didn't see another way to actually talk to it but maybe we had to explore more before finding him. So tough in a first time run to get the right direction down in these types of areas. I will cast it on his bed next EP lol
I get the appeal of getting straight to the slappin, believe me, I do. But you miss out on so many mind-blowing twists by not exploring dialogue, stuff that you’d never consider to be an option going in. Not critiquing, just FYI. Keep playing it how you want to and we’ll keep enjoying the ride.
lol Hello Balthazar.... die Balthazar.. Ari's was on a rampage this EP. What's so interesting is how this game just gives you so much options to deal with all this. We might even get unique stuff for just killing him immediately with how this crazy game is.
@Bowski sometimes that dark urge just takes the wheel. Lol. Keep in mind that the game rarely hard-locks you into things. So initially playing along with some of these assholes can lead to really fun, story enriching side quests with good xp and loot. Then just merc them afterwards. 😁
lol I kind of wish I waited just a bit longer so I could get more info. Would have been smart to hold out as long as we can then strike. But Ari and his Urge lol
For Gale you can equip the lantern in your torch slot it doesn't need to take up your off-hand. Ideally he'd have a shield to help that low AC alongside Mage Armor, those 2 things really up his survivability.
@@Personuh as much as I'd love to do that for some reason the shadow wrath goes away when it's equipped on the lantern slot. So basically if I put it into the lantern spot when I click the lantern button it allows me to summon it but after I summon it the lantern equips itself into the off hand slot and is also on the lantern slot it duplicates itself... Weird i know. But as soon as I go to equip the second weapon the wraith disappears.
@Bowskii Oh okay, well yeah that certainly changes things. I wonder why that's occurring? Regardless whatever you decide it's cool, I'm enjoying the playthrough and increased uploads of late. 😊
I'm honestly surprised that you just went and killed Balthazar immediately but it made me laugh because that's what I always do 😂 well, after using Flesh to fight Yurgir lol Btw, in the room where you fight Yurgir, he has a bed of corpses next to where the umbral gem was. You should consider using speak to the dead on it 👀
lol Ari and that dark urge comes out of know where. One second we are accepting quests from Balthazar next we are slaughtering him lmao. I will make sure to cast it on the corpses' next EP.
Ahhh shame you didn’t explore round the side first, there’s a way to get the displacer beast to stay neutral, then you can talk to Yurgir and get him on your side for the final battle! He also unlocks a merchant if you stay neutral with him. Then there’s a different cutscene with Raphael and Astarion gets peed off so you have dialogue with him too 😅 So many different ways to play out each encounter. Also, Halsin’s a Druid, he has a healing spell… #JustSaying 😅
damn its so tough to find the right direction in these types of places I would have liked to get more on that thing we kind of just walked into both places and slaughtered Yurgir and Balthazar lmao might be a silent temple at this point lol. I'm pretty sure I used his heal but it was for him but it might have been after the EP I'm not sure actually.
19:35 Yet another big hint, yet I don't see the answer. I am starting to feel like we are missing something obvious. "And spoil the surprise?..." "...a unique speciment even before I began my work..." Did Balthazar work on the nightsong or does he mean it was already a thing before he started doing his own thing? He kinda seems to imply that the nightsong is a person. Now sure, characters in this game may state incorrect things, either because they are lying or because they are uninformed, but I don't think he was either of the two. It might not have been the best move to kill him this soon, same with Yurgir I guess
just more questions as always I'm sure we will get answers soon but its def seems like its some kind of creature or person with the way he's talking. My thoughts are that they are using what ever it is to fuel the power for Kethric which we knew but I also think he ran test on it before. Hell or even made it.
I wonder if you intend to play other CRPGs after BG3. There are so many gems in the genre, like Pathfinder series and W40k Rogue Trader from Owlcat, and Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2 (especially 2) from Larian.
I would love to play those games I actually have all those games besides Rogue trader. I went on a CRPG binge after playing about 50 hours into BG. I def got to play more.
I just want to say I love how Connor is still such an integral part of your team lol
Same! I’m emotionally attached to him now, and might add him to my team on my next replay (even though the way to get him is a bit mean lol).
Connor!! Its terrible how we got him but he has been so invaluable to the team. He's like a companion now.

Throwing the rat to sit on the throne is so iconic. Ari being accidentally evil again. 😂
lmao his kindness knows no bound I'm telling ya. Lemme just lightly toss this 1 hp rat.
i’m looking so forward to seeing you continue on with act 2 and continue to enjoy the way the story is panning out :-)
I cant wait to get further into this Temple stuff is getting so interesting!
1:42:41 LMAO absolutely rekt atm. Laughed so hard I spilled my drink on my keyboard.
Lmao 😂😂 🤣🤣 I probably should have pushed it. But then again he probably would have ended up 5 miles away dead.
Wooow I’m sooo excited for this one!!
Enjoy it my friend. This temple has been so interesting so far.

wonderful episode as always! You took care of those fights with ease! Honour mode LP next right?!?!? lol :) Tactician is to easy for you.
hell yea! would love to do a Honour mode run I might make it about a solid 5 minutes before first death.
Awesome video as usual! Cant wait for the next one and the next Inquisition video and I will be catching up with the inquisition videos now that I am done with the game myself and loved it!

Finally, someone actually fights Balthy boi here
lol Ari just walked in said high picked up some work from him then just killed him lmao. Gotta love this game.

@bowskii you should do shar's trials in order to progress. every trial gives you a gemstone in order to traverse the temple
yeah def we got a pretty good path atm get that device working next and push straight forward and see what more these trials are about.

Bowskii gave Balthazar the Kratos talk
hello Bathazar nice to meet you... goodbye Balthazar literally lmao
@Bowskii I died when hit him with a quick F this guy
lol love it!
you have the umbral gemstone you need to activate that pedestal, you picked it up when you solved that glowing ring puzzle.
lol sure do next EP I'm gonna slot that bad boy in there and see what kind of trouble Shar has in store for us.
@@Bowskii my fav part of the game. the gauntlet of shar, big fun
this whole act has been so darn awesome. I've loved the whole story and side stuff here alot. Def alot better than the first act.
@@Bowskii indeed

Those rats are just one dark justicier disguise as rats
mysterious little things hopefully they give us more backstory
