True, and what I find interesting is most people only focus on Panglao like that is "Bohol".

I also think a smaller city/town is good for people that lived in suburbs of a city back home. True city guys and gals Cebu and Manila is the place to go to experience the night life and restaurants and other things that city life has to offer. I lived in a close suburb of a large city back home and did not spend much time in the city other than for work. So for me I did not just want to live in a big city here either. I am a motorcycle rider and the traffic in the cities is a nightmare especially when it's hot. Parking for most places you need to go to is almost non existent, outside of a mall. Anyone can easily live in the smaller cities and go to Cebu/Manila for things you need, or for a get away. There are certainly pluses and minus to both.

Davao is cheap. Bankerohan public market is incredible. 13 Pesos gets me there on the jeepneys

    Chris,

Should be good Lynn. Just have a return ticket showing your departure within 30 days upon arrival. Onward ticket is a good place for that. Check out Jennifer Terry I think her name is for strategies around that.
