Absolutely based use of the Legacy of the Force fan film as a backdrop for your coverage as those events. It's one of the best Star Wars fan films of all time, and I'd urge anyone who hasn't already seen it to go and watch it as soon as possible.
this channel is awesome, a Legacy of the Force live action tv series would had been age appropiate to the actors on 2019 and 2020, Fate of the Jedi in 2022 and 2023, all of this would be appropiate of course to be done outside disney
I think it would be a great idea if you were to publish a reference guide/encyclopedia of the original expanded universe. You could even have it be a multi-volume book because of all the history and detail that will be needed to explain the EU.
Could you compile a list of EU material (books and comics) that should be read. Or on the other hand, what to avoid, such as TCW stuff. So in essence what stays true to the EU continuity and also what media is actually good.
@MattStormage so it's really up to the person. I personally don't count any of direct TCW tie in novels comics or games but there is some value in some of the tie-in novels, for example the Karen Traviss TCW tie-ins have some good moments with Pelleaon and Callista Ming that add to their stories meaningfully and some of that information can be extracted with minimal to no damage. There are some novels with small references to TCW that aren't integral to the plot and can be easily ignored while enjoying the rest of the book. The only non direct TCW tie-in novels that do rely on having watched the show are the Fate of the Jedi series and while I used to ignore them entirely, it's kind of hard with those novels being the last Skywalker-solo centric story chronologically before the reboot. I guess this is a really long way of saying that, as a general rule of thumb, I just ignore the show and it's direct tie-in material and read everything else.
@@Manda-LORE Thanks for this response. I don't really feel like watching TCW, so I hope Fate of the Jedi will be still enjoyable without seeing it. That being said, it will probably take me years before I even get to reading this series anyway since I haven't start reading EU yet. I only played a bunch of games and watched the original Clone Wars.
Technically, no. I put it as unlisted when I uploaded it and linked it to my Patreon for my patrons to watch first as early access. Upon further research, if you add an unlisted video to a playlist (which I did), it does allow the video to be accessed through the playlist so that was a mistake on my part. Congrats though, you got a free trial early release lol
Other Star Wars lore TH-cam users like Star Wars Explained, The Lore Master, and Metnatz Lore when they do Clone Wars lore videos set in the Legends continuity are seduced by the headcanons from Wookieepedia's curators.
I think it's unnecessary to completely dismiss the Mortis arc, TCW or not. The info we get on it from FOTJ/Crucible doesn't really contradict the CWMMP, so doesn't the existance of the Ones abd their connection with Abeloth. Anakin and Obi Wan could've been to Mortis, just without Ahsoka.
I've always thought the "Galactic Alliance" sounded really dumb, so in my head canon I just either call it the Galactic Federation, or have the Galactic Alliance literally just be a UN type organization.
Depends how you interprete Vergere's teachings. If it's how SOME people interprete Traitor and Unifying Force, you're right. But if it's how Destiny's Way portrayes her, Jacen's fall was sealed then and there.
@@emzonik8851I haven’t read the Legacy of the Force books yet so my theory may not align with the events of those books, but it’s also likely that Jacen also misunderstood Vergere’s teachings. After all, Jacen has always been very uncertain of the Force since the beginning of NJO.
@@LegendsLiterature Unfortunately it'd be hard to reconcile this with what we learn from Darth Krayt, but that’s actually where I think LOTF could've been much better and more believable. To not spoil anything, imo it should’ve been linked to the fact Vergere is a very misterious character overall, and while she does help the heroes and is ultimately a good person, it's Luke that filters her teachings and derives the best conclusions for his order. Jacen, however, goes on a journey as nonetheless a young knight without a proper guidence of his uncle. Luke should’ve expressed regret that he didn't go with him, to be there for him throughout the excursion. What Vergere herself truly meant and whether she was right would remain a mistery.
