@@dominicp9296 Me personally I've always been a fan of shorter videos. I think the first video in this series was the right balance of time being just a little over 40 minutes, not to long but not short either. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. LOL.
Greetings my friends from beyond and within the grave. In the short time in which we inhabit this world, It would be my honor to offer you a new life with Christ. Let today be the day you begin✝️
The series has been exactly what I've been looking for, post-Endor in Legends is so cool. And sometimes wacky and illogical, but still highly entertaining.
In EU Legends, the New Republic didn't disarm 90% of its military power and actively fought against the Imperial Remnants and any threat thrown at their way.
The starting point for Legends was the idea that it was only 5 years for the Imperials to get dangerous again, whereas Disney started with the idea that it took 30 years. Future developments in both changed that initial presumption but it was at least a richer playground going off Heir to the Empire's much less devastated imperial navy.
I'm glad atleast one of the big SW channels is just sticking to making good content instead of spreading hate and bashing on anything new. Good job and keep it coming man!
This is where the fun begins. Now this is pod-racing! Thank you for this video! These were some of the best stories post endor that have ever been published. (The Thrawn Trilogy is my absolute favorite!)
Just an idea, but after this series u should go into talking about the legends version of the new Jedi order (the Jacen, Jaina and Anakin solo version)
Zjinj is often underrated. Maybe due to his stature, but zjinj was actually a fairly competent officer (no thrawn (and he didn't earn respect the way thrawn did), but he was more clever than the average imperial commander).
PLEAAAASE do an installment about the Dark Empire story, since I’ve tried and tried to find solo videos about the Dark Empire technology, as it’s very very distinct, but nobody seems to have much besides a few scraps here and there
And with the Imperial Civil War we once again see why the Empire wasn't going to last, like the Sith Empires of old, even after attaning victory they start infighting and turning on each other not thinking that doing so will allow their enemies to win. Also, is this series over? Because that closing segment with you thank us for following this journey through Legends implies it is, but I though this series was going to cover the entire Galactic Civil War which didn't offical end in Legends until 19 ABY, this video only ended at 10 ABY with Palpatine's return, there's still more stories to tell I assume.
It would have been really cool to see young and rejuvenated Palpatine than the same old feeble man. Imagine how much of a beast he is at lightsaber combat and the Force in his prime.
True, albeit both have their own agendas that are separate from Thrawn (Joruus wanted to claim the Skywalkers as his own; Baylan wanted the power that’s been brewing on Peridea). C’baoth would crush Skol’s… skull in combat, but I would argue that Baylan is BARELY a better character in the Ahsoka series (RIP Ray Stevenson, taken too soon)
"I disdain what these puffed-up, self-appointed warlords have inflicted upon our fighting forces. These squabbling children have caused as much damage to the Empire as the Rebel Alliance has." -Natasi Daala
Hence why her return to the Galaxy during the Second Galactic Civil War was a blessing to Pallaeon. Of course, her Imperial mind would eventually cause issues during the FOTJ series
@@tweso1499 Daala should've stayed in her lane as a military officer. Someone else should've taken over as chief of state; Daala made everything way worse.
A couple of edits. Zsinj's flagship was never stolen by the New Republic. He was recovering the wreckage of the Razors Kiss to use as a 'fake' Iron Fist he could blow up to look like wreckage of his own flagship, which he would hide at Dathomir to be repaired. This plan actually worked perfectly at the Battle of Selegis as Han and his taskforce fully believed they'd destroyed Zsinj's flagship and returned to Coruscant, while Zsinj got the breathing room he wanted to begin rebuilding. During the Battle of Dathomir, the Iron Fist(Zsinj's Super Star Destroyer flagship) was still in the repair yard from the sabotage and heavy damage it had suffered at the Battles of Vahaba and Selegis. Prince Isolder's 'Song of War' Battledragon strafed it while it was in dock before the main battle as well. So by the time of the Battle of Dathomir against the Hapan Royal Navy and New Republic, the Iron Fist couldn't escape and was in a badly weakened state.
Always loved that one of the inadvertently key espionage operations performed by Wraith Squadron was convincing Zsinj that they had a hyper intelligent Ewok fighter pilot (portrayed by Wedge Antilles puppeting an Ewok dummy in a TIE).😅 And as an added bonus, Zsinj *was* actually working on a clandestine project to make unusually intelligent members of otherwise dumb races like Gammoreans, and he'd have his chief scientist killed for the "escaped Ewok."😅
Operation Shadow Hand, and the Dark Empire series in general, while a bit ridiculous, was undoubtedly an extremely fun read. Insane super star destroyers, crazy Force powers, not so logical super weapons (the Galaxy Gun), dark side Luke.
I love the bacta war. Think it would make a good rpg campaign also, it already seems to be like something run by a dungeon master and a party having a good time: player playing booster: I threaten the super star destroyer with destruction, using torpedo targeting packages to back my bluff.
I can't really blame the New Republic for unable to fulfill the peace. They literally have to deal with Imperial Remnants, which still has big military, Thrawn, and even Darth Sidious. The fact that they can still standing, though barely, is very good.
Can Skeleton Crew just come out already so we can get to the Heir to the Empire reimagining. I'm looking forward to that Star Wars film than the others.
This is my favorite era of the EU simply because it shows the reality of the end of a galactic civilization. When empires die they don’t just quietly putter out and then are replaced. They die with a violent implosion from which after shocks scream out for decades to come leaving everyone caught in between to suffer.
Since they are doing a thrawn movie if they kill him I hope they give him the same death, even if not the same person doing it, Thrawn dying as he was close to victory, complimenting his assassin as he looks out at the battle he had causedas he draws his last breath, it's perfect for him and would be a beautiful shot
At this point, I don't care about Star Wars unless a true star wars fan like Geestslys is the one talking about it. I hate Disney for destroying Star Wars for greed.
I hope you continue this series, explaining the rest of the Galactic Civil War, as it didn't truly end until nearly another decade later when Pelleon signed the big treaty that ended the war.
16:40 ish. In the X-wing novels, they bought their fighters. Was this contradicted somewhere in legends or been rewritten by Canon? If it was a simple mistake, my bad lol. I'm just curious.
Even though I do like the Legends version of post episode 6 continuity much better than current Canon it does gets a little ridiculous and the galactic civil war goes on a little bit too long and I really did enjoy how it ended as I think the empire should be completely disbanded and ended as a galactic organization the new Republic taken full control of the Galaxy.
I like the empire fighting for longer actually as opposed to they just get destroyed so quickly just makes more sense least to me that even though the empire lost the emperor and vader they still fought on and persisted even if the odds weren’t in their favor
@@davidordaz5251 I somewhat agree with you as I do think the empire could last a little bit longer without palpatine being the head but not that long as I always figured palpatine to be complete control freak/one is much power in himself with giving only limited groups within the government /military control largely in the way of just administration duties . But but I also think the empire should have fully collapsed after the fall of coruscant and they no longer have legitimate hold of the Galaxy or at thrawn campaign end as I think he's the last truly one who can really threatened the new Republicans control the Galaxy.
