In the comics, Scorpion is Mac Gargan who underwent an experiment that gave him the proportionate speed, strength, and agility of a scorpion (so, basically, an anti-Spider-Man). He could lift 15 tons, stick to walls, and somehow his hands hands could snip Spidey's webbing with ease. Kraven, I think is in the 5 to 10 ton range...there's no f'ing way he's breaking Scorpion's neck with just one hand. Hell, the idiots had "Superior Spider-Man" punch Scorpion's jaw off with just one hit. So, unless Scorpion was cured of his super powers, I guess he's now just a regular human in a super powered suit.

Kraven killed Electro, Shocker, and Vulture too, in different tents you can see the trophies he took from them and describes fighting and killing them on voice recorders. He sounds disappointed that they weren’t able to beat him.

I mean, yeah.. In terms of movies, I rank him as the equivilant to the Court of Owls in Batman. Both don't look it, but are legit terrifing. I genuinely believe he doesn't get as much airtime (asides from the animated series) as much as he should have. Sam Raimi or Marc Webb really should have utilised him in one of their movies.
Kraven was a contracted hunter when he was younger, he hunted down some of the dangerous animals with his own bare hands, he's very intelligent when it comes to combat as well, he has allot of experience in hunting, that's why he's called Kraven, the Hunter. He was the go to guy from any contractor from his country, he was the best hunter of his generation. His stats shouldn't be surprising, it has consistency with who he can fight against, he's able to adapt in any dangerous altercation. @@phantom_mserafi

It's interesting how Kraven really exposes the other villains for what they are. Scorpion is all bark and no bite. He has the most fearsome reputation of the sinister six, yet without his stinger he is pretty much useless. Electro likely overestimated himself, and thought he would easily clap Kraven, because he is technically the most powerful. Kraven exposed that his hubris was greater than his abilities. Vulture was dying of cancer as well as Kraven, but Kraven proved himself to have a stronger will to win. And Shocker, who everyone kind of looked down on as a lesser villain, Spiderman even called him a "puppy on the inside", was the one who impressed Kraven the most. He was fighting to survive, and he fought to the bitter end.

its probably due to how they fight rather than their tech, notice how scorpion basically rigged himself up to be hard-countered since kraven made himself immune to the poison AND he did that easily telegraphed jump, meanwhile he stated shocker fought to survive, meaning shocker didnt act all fancy, he went for the kill so that he may live.

I think the reason Electro got beat by him in this continuity was because in Insomniac SM1, Dillon was much more along the lines of his early comic counterpart persona. The "OP Electro" idea that we're now used to, from TASM2 and No Way Home, was supercharged due to traits we got from the Ultimate comics. Out of all the rogues gallery Kraven slaughtered, Scorpion definitely had it coming. To add insult to injury Scorpion really thought he could kill Kraven - only for Kraven to not only shrug it off, but effortlessly grab Scorpion by the throat and openly express how much of a dissapointment he was - before killing Scorpion with his own stinger. It says how much of a dissapointment Scorpion was to Kraven , when Shocker - a criminal with no super powers , actually impressed Kraven enough to acknowledge him after he killed him .

Well, to be fair, Pete was literally one shot knock out by Vemon throwing Peter through several walls, immediately after Harry became Vemon. Even with the Anti Vemon suit, (which most likely amp him to the level he was with the black suit . ) he was still treated like fodder by Vemon, getting casually smack to the side by Vemon's tendrils, without Vemon even liking at him or even acknowledging his presence. And was completely wreck by Harry Vemon in the final battle , despite the Anti-Vemon suit being like Kryptonite to Symbiotes, and Vemon would kill everyone if not for Harry fighting to take back control, and Anti-Vemon weakening Vemon over the course of the fight. So yeah it pretty consistent that both Kraven and Vemon are stronger than normal Spider-Man and are above every other character in on PS Spider-Man's Earth . Outside of potentially Thor and Doctor Strange , who confirm to exist in this universe, but have no on screen feats.
you see a file and audio clip from kraven detailing how he killed shocker, and then you see vultures wings in one of his hideouts that he clipped them from him. Though no body ever seen. Which makes me wonder if theyre actually dead. Hell scorpion may not even be dead, if venom revived him or.. if he has a powers of an actual scorpion he can fake it. Either way I hope not. The one thing I think they could make a perfect spiderman game is random encounters in new york of bosses robbing banks or terrorizing the city.

Then she sees an computer with shockers picture with the word "deceased" next to it. Also his gauntlets where on the table
My mate always found Kraven a boring villain. I made him read Kraven last hunt and he said it was just ok. Which blew my mind as he is a big Spider-Man fan. But he played and completed this game before me. And he rung me up and said he can see why I love the character. And he told me to wait to play a scene with scorpion. As that was the scene that sold him Kraven as a legit bad boy villain. When I saw this bit for the first time. I was stunned as you actually feel sorry for scorpion. He probably deserved this and much worse. But he was in a fight he had zero chance of winning. It brilliantly directed to show us a taste of the force of Kraven.
love the kraven buildup and him being a main badass but i am sad for all the villains we lost 😢 shocker is easily one of my favorites and he was killed alongside vulture, electro and scorpion. all classic rogues. but i am glad they dare to kill in their games.

THE moment I knew Kraven wasn't messing around. I was not too hyped when I found out he would be one of the villains in the game, just because of all the animated versions of him I've seen. But this version of him blew me away!
Man kraven was such a great villain, insomniac really did the character justice, from his VA to his theme it was perfect. I honestly preferred him over venom as a anthologist in this game. Idk if it’s just me but i wished Kraven was the final boss or at least got a boss battle with him wearing the symbiote.
I came here because my game glitched and Kraven was completely invisible.😂😂😂So I just a floating Scorpion tail and I thought he was using an invincibility cloak or something but he never appeared. This happen to anyone else?
Imagine being a super villain with an actual super suit and your signature weapon is completely turn into joke by some random guy with legit skill that didn't even effect him.
Just like that... Scorpion, who at one point, Spider-Man couldn't beat until he had to augment his webs and change his tactics and then barely defeated him, is just taken out with so little effort. Nerfing his opponents is not the way to make a character look badass.

@gigachad3457 It’s indisputable that Scorpion was nerfed here based on his confirmed powerscaling. Scorpion is in the 20-25 ton range, Kraven is in the 2 ton range, making Scorpion literally a dozen times stronger and with strength even greater than Spider-Man’s. There’s zero chance of Kraven displaying this level of strength. Immunity to the toxins I can buy but Scorpion would’ve just grabbed his arm and snapped it casually with that level of power difference.

@alexbaucom5432 He was created with the intention of killing Spider-Man, but the idea behind his inception doesn't translate to the final result. Let's be real here, Insomniac Scorpion is a hack. He's weak. His best trick is his stinger and the venom it carries, but he's otherwise one of the least threatening bad guys in these games. Even Shocker puts up a better showing than this guy. Hell, Kraven admits that Herman put up the best fight of the four villains he killed.
Its crazy gow this version of Scorpion is one of the most hateable out there, and I still felt bad for him. You can feel the fear, confusion, and desperation in his voice.
This Kraven the Hunter reminds me of Perfect Cell from DBZ Kakarot. The way he only fights for fun and to prove his superiority to others. No end goal like world conquest or revenge. Awesome!!😎
It killed me to see some of the main villains killed off. I actually had love for the villains poor Scorpio, you will never be forgotten. It’s a plus side as some of the main villains are still alive. GREAT GAME!
This is one of the most bone chilling scenes in the game. But I also want to scream at scorpion for not trying to sweep or grab one of Kravens legs with his tail when Kraven holds him up
This game is so great that I beat it 3 straight times. The 3rd time around I completed the whole game. I found all the spider bots, destroyed all the symbiote nest and destroyed all the hunters hideouts and etc.
Kraven gets stabbed by Scorpion's tail which would take out or immobilize pretty much any creature on earth then proceeds to make it sound like the potions he consumes didn't save his ass, lol.
It’s more like him overcoming his main weapon and then asking “What now?”. He wants to see if his prey can adapt to different situations, something Scorpion and probably Electro could not do.
While I'm not a huge fan of Spider-Man 2's overall story, I like what they did with Kraven here. The man genuinely has nothing to lose - he's dying, he just wants to do so on his terms.
This is by far the best iteration of Kraven I’ve ever seen, I wish they didn’t kill off all of his kids so one of them would’ve took his spot especially Anna who was more willing than any other of his kids
I'll be real... this did absolutely nothing for me. Kraven defeating villains that Spider-Man had already defeated countless times doesn't make him scary. Killing off fan-favorite villains off-camera and then telling me about it after the fact doesn't make Kraven impressive. It's just utterly dull and wretchedly bad writing. Kraven the hunter is supposed to be shrewd and cunning. If he had released the villains to sew chaos across the city and force Spider-Man to fight them, using each encounter to observe and study his prey until he was ready to strike and knew every single one of Peter's tricks and gadgets from firsthand observation... then I would have been impressed. This was rubbish. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 never ceased to not thrill me.

Should’ve had a cutscene with kraven defeating all of them in a brawl mirroring the sinster six scene (minus Otto) & having Martin Lee escaping or just having Kraven imprisoning him.
Crazy how they made Kraven somewhat intimidating here. This game is partially based on the Last Hunt series, wich is funny, because this series happens because Kraven is so depressed after being made Spiderman's bitch for so many years, he just crashes tf out. (He kills himself in the end btw.)
I havent read the comics in years, but Kraven was never this strong when i read them. Did they make him more powerful? And Scorpion wasnt this weak. In the comics, Scorpion was stronger and more durable than spiderman (not just depending on a tail), just not as good a fighter, so spiderman had to resort to smarter tactics to win. Kraven just overpowering is a little weak in my opinion. Kravens hunting was alwas more about his skills, than brute strength. (in fact even with his potion, he was weaker than spiderman, and scorpion is stronger than spiderman. I know they had to do this to make him an interesting villain, but im not sure i agree with the way it was done.
Scorpion has never been stronger than Spider-Man. Peter just always holds back. In the comics when Otto took control of Peter’s body he punched Scorpion’s jaw clean off. This made Otto realize Peter had been holding back
Kraven is one of those characters who is exceedingly strong for no reason despite having no powers of his own, kinda like Kingpin except even deadlier. Even with broken ribs he's able to fight on par with Spiderman while Spiderman is trying to kill him.

There was apoint where scorpion WAS stronger than spiderman. Granted I stopped collecting comics in the early to mid 90s, so im an old school collector, but there was absolutely a time when marvel had scorpion as stronger., then in the 80s, they had him as strong as spiderman. This was one writers theory that spiderman was holding back. But even so, even if you are right, scorpion was superhuman with a strength equal to spiderman, or pretty damn close. and that it wasnt all about his poison tail. So the fact that he is just a rag doll to Kraven really just makes karvaen superhuman, which kindof goes against most of the mythos of kraven.

Before this scene, while peter was in the base there were viles with anti-scorpion venom that kraven was developing. A flower of some sort that kraven had acces to. Even peter said he couldn't make the trip to get these flowers because the flight was too expensive.

Yeah Scorpion is literally a dozen times stronger (2 tons range vs 25 tons range). Kraven is smart but this physical strength portrayal is grossly exaggerated.
They changed power scaling thats it venom in this game is legit 100 tonner and omega level kraven here appears to be 75-80tonner based on how he killed scorpion who himself is 25 tonner spiderman is capped at 50 ton in this game maybe more with adrenaline

Kraven was an absolute unit in Spider-Man 2, this game legit made me love Kraven even more as a villain.
He destroyed both Spider-Man and miles as well as most of Spider-Man’s other rogues gallery. He even ran his fade with venom and held his own.

First kraven kills all of the greatest villains spiderman fought over the years
And then venom kills kraven
Now spiderman has to beat someone stronger than everyone he's faced that's amplified by his own abilities

Kraven just got out of a fight with Spider-Man w the venom so probably tired/nerfed plus Spiderman had the anti venom suit which is said to be good against symbiote
So it makes sense why Peter got Anti-Venom power to balance out the playing ground.
Well, to be fair, Pete was literally one shot knock out by Vemon throwing Peter through several walls, immediately after Harry became Vemon.
Even with the Anti Vemon suit, (which most likely amp him to the level he was with the black suit . ) he was still treated like fodder by Vemon, getting casually smack to the side by Vemon's tendrils, without Vemon even liking at him or even acknowledging his presence.
And was completely wreck by Harry Vemon in the final battle , despite the Anti-Vemon suit being like Kryptonite to Symbiotes, and Vemon would kill everyone if not for Harry fighting to take back control, and Anti-Vemon weakening Vemon over the course of the fight.
So yeah it pretty consistent that both Kraven and Vemon are stronger than normal Spider-Man and are above every other character in on PS Spider-Man's Earth .
Outside of potentially Thor and Doctor Strange , who confirm to exist in this universe, but have no on screen feats.

I read it somewhere that Craven has some logs from his hunts and he even got their weapons as trophies.
you see a file and audio clip from kraven detailing how he killed shocker, and then you see vultures wings in one of his hideouts that he clipped them from him. Though no body ever seen. Which makes me wonder if theyre actually dead. Hell scorpion may not even be dead, if venom revived him or.. if he has a powers of an actual scorpion he can fake it. Either way I hope not. The one thing I think they could make a perfect spiderman game is random encounters in new york of bosses robbing banks or terrorizing the city.

Then she sees an computer with shockers picture with the word "deceased" next to it. Also his gauntlets where on the table

My mate always found Kraven a boring villain. I made him read Kraven last hunt and he said it was just ok. Which blew my mind as he is a big Spider-Man fan. But he played and completed this game before me. And he rung me up and said he can see why I love the character. And he told me to wait to play a scene with scorpion. As that was the scene that sold him Kraven as a legit bad boy villain. When I saw this bit for the first time. I was stunned as you actually feel sorry for scorpion. He probably deserved this and much worse. But he was in a fight he had zero chance of winning. It brilliantly directed to show us a taste of the force of Kraven.
love the kraven buildup and him being a main badass but i am sad for all the villains we lost 😢 shocker is easily one of my favorites and he was killed alongside vulture, electro and scorpion. all classic rogues. but i am glad they dare to kill in their games.

THE moment I knew Kraven wasn't messing around. I was not too hyped when I found out he would be one of the villains in the game, just because of all the animated versions of him I've seen. But this version of him blew me away!
In this game Kraven doesn't want to die through old age and disease he wants to die with honor and the glory of the hunt.
Man kraven was such a great villain, insomniac really did the character justice, from his VA to his theme it was perfect. I honestly preferred him over venom as a anthologist in this game.

Just like that... Scorpion, who at one point, Spider-Man couldn't beat until he had to augment his webs and change his tactics and then barely defeated him, is just taken out with so little effort. Nerfing his opponents is not the way to make a character look badass.

It’s indisputable that Scorpion was nerfed here based on his confirmed powerscaling. Scorpion is in the 20-25 ton range, Kraven is in the 2 ton range, making Scorpion literally a dozen times stronger and with strength even greater than Spider-Man’s. There’s zero chance of Kraven displaying this level of strength. Immunity to the toxins I can buy but Scorpion would’ve just grabbed his arm and snapped it casually with that level of power difference.

He's weak. His best trick is his stinger and the venom it carries, but he's otherwise one of the least threatening bad guys in these games. Even Shocker puts up a better showing than this guy. Hell, Kraven admits that Herman put up the best fight of the four villains he killed.

This game is so great that I beat it 3 straight times. The 3rd time around I completed the whole game. I found all the spider bots, destroyed all the symbiote nest and destroyed all the hunters hideouts and etc.

It’s more like him overcoming his main weapon and then asking “What now?”. He wants to see if his prey can adapt to different situations, something Scorpion and probably Electro could not do.

While I'm not a huge fan of Spider-Man 2's overall story, I like what they did with Kraven here. The man genuinely has nothing to lose - he's dying, he just wants to do so on his terms.

I'll be real... this did absolutely nothing for me.
Kraven defeating villains that Spider-Man had already defeated countless times doesn't make him scary. Killing off fan-favorite villains off-camera and then telling me about it after the fact doesn't make Kraven impressive. It's just utterly dull and wretchedly bad writing.
Kraven the hunter is supposed to be shrewd and cunning. If he had released the villains to sew chaos across the city and force Spider-Man to fight them, using each encounter to observe and study his prey until he was ready to strike and knew every single one of Peter's tricks and gadgets from firsthand observation... then I would have been impressed.
This was rubbish. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 never ceased to not thrill me.

Crazy how they made Kraven somewhat intimidating here. This game is partially based on the Last Hunt series, wich is funny, because this series happens because Kraven is so depressed after being made Spiderman's bitch for so many years, he just crashes tf out. (He kills himself in the end btw.)
I havent read the comics in years, but Kraven was never this strong when i read them. Did they make him more powerful? And Scorpion wasnt this weak. In the comics, Scorpion was stronger and more durable than spiderman (not just depending on a tail), just not as good a fighter, so spiderman had to resort to smarter tactics to win. Kraven just overpowering is a little weak in my opinion.
Kravens hunting was alwas more about his skills, than brute strength. (in fact even with his potion, he was weaker than spiderman, and scorpion is stronger than spiderman.
I know they had to do this to make him an interesting villain, but im not sure i agree with the way it was done.

Kraven is one of those characters who is exceedingly strong for no reason despite having no powers of his own, kinda like Kingpin except even deadlier.
Even with broken ribs he's able to fight on par with Spiderman while Spiderman is trying to kill him.

There was apoint where scorpion WAS stronger than spiderman. Granted I stopped collecting comics in the early to mid 90s, so im an old school collector, but there was absolutely a time when marvel had scorpion as stronger., then in the 80s, they had him as strong as spiderman. This was one writers theory that spiderman was holding back. But even so, even if you are right, scorpion was superhuman with a strength equal to spiderman, or pretty damn close. and that it wasnt all about his poison tail. So the fact that he is just a rag doll to Kraven really just makes karvaen superhuman, which kindof goes against most of the mythos of kraven.

Before this scene, while peter was in the base there were viles with anti-scorpion venom that kraven was developing. A flower of some sort that kraven had acces to. Even peter said he couldn't make the trip to get these flowers because the flight was too expensive.

They changed power scaling thats it venom in this game is legit 100 tonner and omega level kraven here appears to be 75-80tonner based on how he killed scorpion who himself is 25 tonner spiderman is capped at 50 ton in this game maybe more with adrenaline
