This fight reminded me of the first Kratos and Thor fight in Ragnarok. Antagonist wants to really fight protagonist. Protagonist is holding back the whole time and antagonist sees this. Antagonist calls them out on it and tells them to stop holding back. In the end of the fight antagonist gain the advantage and push the protagonist far enough to show their true power which pleases them
What I loved the most was the “WHERE?!” to the hunter. It had caught me by surprise. Usually it goes “tell me where he is” in menacing way or something along those lines. Nope, not here. Spidey was playing NO games and was ready to KILL. And it’s only that small detail, the whole game is GOLDEN! 11/10 game 🔥
And for once, the Hunter actually seems scared! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the only time we see any of the hunters actually scared. That definitely caught me off guard, and the way the controller vibrates when he yells where!
The voice acting and dialogue for Kraven is too good in this game O.o “I’m assured that material is unbreakable… but I believe anything can be broken.” “You still hold back. Maybe you lack motivation.” And it’s so epic when Kraven wants to see ALL of the strength and anger in Peter (probably a rare opinion but this was my personal favorite boss), they gave Kraven, one of the greatest Spider-Man villains in the comics, so much justice :)

I was replaying Shattered Dimensions earlier and if Kraven misses you and shoots one of his henchmen during the sniper rifle segment of his level, Peter (voiced by Neil Patrick Harris, who also voices him in the MTV animated series) remarks something along the lines of “These men worship you and this is how you repay them?” (as well as calling him a murderer and saying that he thought he was a hunter, not an assassin; a nice break from his usual witty banter to show how sacred human life is to Peter and how disgusted he is at the ease with which Kraven disregards it).
I like how it shows that he still cares about Miles despite how he’s been acting with the symbiote to show that Peter is still there, but it also shows just how much of an effect the symbiote has had on him
I'm blind. Can someone please describe that to me? I didn't know Peter was in a cage. I thought they were on either side of a window and when he saw Miles he broke through the window to get to Kraven. When did he get trapped in a cage? What did Kraven do to Miles? I LOVE Yuri's voice acting here!

@@aaronkenyon7112 Yea pretty much cause I was getting extremely frustrated and excited with the fight (basically I'm frustrated that I'm getting my ass kicked but loving the fact that it's a challenge) and I kept loosing before the voiceline played so the moment he said "Rip him apart" I activated symbiote surge cause I forgot I had it due to my frustration lol
I just wish I could find the clip from the moment prior to this fight, where he absolutely RAGES against the hunters while screaming "WHERE IS SPIDER-MAN?!"

Boss fights are so much freaking better. Better than last one which was just press L1 and R1 to stun and then get damage in and then have to do it again. This one your gadgets and powers actually do damage and open up your attack and have animations. Good stuff
@@antispiral09 4 times isn't a lot, it takes a few tries to get a feel for the boss' patterns, weaknessess and so on. Getting the dodge and parry timing correct and hitting him with well timed gadget/ability combos is all it takes.
Dude Kraven was possibly one of the most difficult and hardest bosses I had to fight in marvels Spiderman 2. I literally spent most of the fight at the last stage yelling and screaming out of rage😅

Currently where I’m at. I’m in the second half of the fight and I keep getting him to half health and after he calls in the robot dogs, I beat 2 and when I’m done with the 3rd I’m left with barely any health because he keeps hitting me while in the middle of a combo. It’s annoying but I’ve gotten this far.
That's kind of another thing about the game it doesn't exactly have as many checkpoints as the first game especially when it comes to the Mary Jane sections very slim when it comes to checkpoints.🤔

Peter wasn't full in Because of miles + miles had the bell as HUGE support. Kraven had the bell too, but he didn't want to overuse it or defeat peter with it, just provoke him.
Miles didn't even beat Peter, he just managed to brought Peter from the darkness and convinced him to take the symbiote by himself, it was a technical draw since they didn't finished.
That Spider-Man vs. Spider-Man fight was crazy. I knew it was gonna happen but it was still so hype! I had the musician outfit on when I did the fight so it was Miles bringing his Dapper Buddy back from the darkness
I think Kraven was the perfect villain for Peter to fight while he was giving in to the Symbiote suit. In the first game while Martin and Otto did heinous stuff at least they had reasons that can be sympathized with a little. Peter saw them be great people he looked up to and tried to help even when the darkness inside them dominated them. Kraven has no such reason or personal connection with Peter, he causes so much pain and havoc just because of his own selfish need to die to a warrior he thinks is worthy of tasting his last breath. Peter sees Kraven have no consideration of how much trauma he is bringing back for Dr. Connors, isn’t considering how him destroying the EMF hindered a lot of good research and did not consider anyone who’s being caught into the crossfire. He’s angry at how a man can be so selfish and the symbiote preys on that along with Kraven seeing the beast inside the suit and encourages it to release itself.
1:09 The wiki keeps saying that Kraven is only 6 feet tall but he's towering over Peter here. Peter is supposed to be 5'10 and even though he's standing at a slightly lower elevation and isn't standing straight he barely comes up to Kraven's chest. He's got to be like 7'2 or something.
I think this is the best part of the game for me. The setting for the fight was so well done. I play aggressively so there being no quips and just Kraven screaming at you to fight harder, and the Symbiote taking over pushing Peter over the edge, it made it feel visceral. I didn't care that I was making mistakes because it made it seem like an actual fight to the death.
8:38 For a second I thought they really had Peter kill Kraven. I would have alot of respect for the balls to go there, but Kraven dying from Harry makes alot more sense and I think I prefer it.

Kraven was the one dude out of the entire game that REALLY pissed me off and made me want to kill but spiderman doesn't kill and i honestly wanted to break his arms and legs then put him in a straight jacket and let me him rot until cancer got him PURELY out of spite
This is definitely one of the best boss fights in the game. Kraven was the best villain in the game and Venom was amazing as well. I love how you can fight Kraven with the black suit that was awesome. Also, I love how they use the bell it was great. This fight was brilliant. 👍❤️😀
Miles fighting through hell to save Peter is one of the best fights ever. All he does is save his mentor from the sympiote. Miles is a brother to him, saving him from the sympiotes. The music and the miles fighting to save Peter is emotional to me.

This boss fight was very challenging since I play on amazing mode. But I still love it because it made the fight more intense and when games get too easy, it gets boring.
The fact that Yuri Lowenthal is 52 years old and STILL was able to deliver a bone chilling war cry shows how talented he is

I loved it. Mister Negative rematch was another exellent boss fight where you could (and kinda had to) use any and all tricks and abilities.
I knew the bosses would be fire when Peter’s symbiote grab ability (L1 + X) grabbed Lizard’s jaw and slammed it in the gameplay they revealed
Insomniac have seriously stepped on the boss fights for this sequel. Personally, the Kraven boss fight is my favourite in the game.

Kraven was the one dude out of the entire game that REALLY pissed me off and made me want to kill but spiderman doesn't kill and i honestly wanted to break his arms and legs then put him in a straight jacket and let me him rot until cancer got him PURELY out of spite
This is definitely one of the best boss fights in the game. Kraven was the best villain in the game and Venom was amazing as well. I love how you can fight Kraven with the black suit that was awesome. Also, I love how they use the bell it was great. This fight was brilliant. 👍❤️😀

Miles fighting through hell to save Peter is one of the best fights ever. All he does is save his mentor from the sympiote. Miles is a brother to him, saving him from the sympiotes. The music and the miles fighting to save Peter is emotional to me.
People seriously forget that they have the L3 and R3 ability in this boss fight to use when those robotic dogs come into play.
I literally forgot it was there until midway through the second phase
