There's also a glitch where you can see Rhino's head in Kraven's room hanged on a wall. Some youtuber uploades it but forgot who, so yes, Rhino seems to be dead too, sadly we can only see it via a glitch unfortunately

Poor Shocker. Got treated as a joke by so many, but in the end, Kraven saw him for what he really was. A Survivor. A man who when left with no where else, fought like a beast for a chance to see tomorrow. And even in failing, Kraven REMEMBERS him. High praise indeed.
The amount of respect Kraven gave Shocker, even saying Shocker was nearly an equal, or maybe even better than Kraven, but that he didn't fight to prove he's better was his only downfall. It's crazy that Shocker came so close to being Kraven's perfect hunt, the way Kraven describes him, everyone thinks of Shocker like a joke, the villain of the week but Kraven even after defeating him treated that man with respect, he fought not to prove he was superior like with Scorpion but instead, he fought for his life, mad respect
Shocker always gives it his all because unlike the others, he's the weakest of the Sinister Six. Hell, I think Paste Pot motherfuckin PETE would fair just as well as him, so he's obviously going to perform better if the others were treating it as a normal fight instead of one for their life.

Interesting how Electro, on paper the most dangerous and challenging individual of all, is dismissed by Kraven as the most worthless of his targets. Fits in with what Spidey said last game, mind, that Electro could be an Avengers-level threat if he'd fully applied himself but is held back by his arrogance and ignorance of the nuances of his abilities. Well, as superpowers often demonstrate, there's a world of difference between having a power and understanding it.

Always figured Hulk could take on Electro well enough. He's got a villain named Zzzax that's an electric monstrosity with strength akin to his and can make itself smarter absorbing the electricity from folks brains, but hulk beats it semi regularly.
Shocker deserved so much better. He gave Kraven the biggest challenge, but failed to be an equal only because he only fought for survival. You can even see Shockers equipment is the only one not being studied, and is actually just laying there, the helmet is even resting in a box with cloth. Kraven seems to have nothing but respect for Shocker
I don't think he was Kraven's most difficult adversary. I think Kraven talks about him like that because he had something he valued more than what the stronger targets had, which was sincerity. The others like scorpion probably remained cocky goon villains up until the end. Shocker was was reformed at this point, and was just a man fighting for his life that he had to rebuild, even though he's has weaker abilities than someone like Electro. I think to someone like Kraven, this made him respect Shocker more as genuine prey, visciously fighting tooth and nail for survival while the others played pretend. You see a similar thing with other targets, too. The ones who survive, like Sandman and Tombstone are also some of the most genuine.

Which is saying a lot considering that Vulture is actually a genius. I mean how else would he made those wings? Didn’t exactly buy them or stole them, he make those suckers. Surprised he didn’t hunt down Hammerhead though. He did target Black Cat after all so I assumed he’d have his hunters get Hammerhead.. but I don’t think he’s worthy of being prey.
I’ve only just now noticed how the Hunters integrate the Six’s tech into their arsenal. They used the flight harness as a basis for the Talon drones. Electro’s rig for their nets that prevent you from fighting in the air. Scorpion’s toxin for their poison grenades and Shocker’s gauntlets for those twin machetes they use that create shockwaves. Also mad respect to Herman for putting up the best fight.
From what I can see in the game and what others say, the reason for that is being the fact the others relied on their powers too much and or were so used to fighting spiderman that they didn’t think anyone could actually kill them. An example was Scorpion. He heavily relied on his poison to weaken and get the best of his enemies and when that didn’t work on Kraven he tried to crawl away in fear. For Vulture he was seasoned and heavily relied on his wings but isn’t said to have died easily so he must have put somewhat of a fight. Though once those were clipped he was just an old man. As for Electro, he is cocky, stupid, and arrogant, this prevents him from actually using his powers to it’s fullest potential. Shocker was an actual survivor who fought with everything he had to see the next day, he possessed some understanding of his shock gauntlets, but ultimately he died. All in all the problem with Spider-Man’s villains is that they relied on their powers and tech over actual skill and understanding of them. Which is why they all fell.
@@Shadedsins Yeah Shocker is just a guy looking for a quick cash grab usually for him it's how he survives, as we saw in the first game Shocker was only robbing banks because of Martin Lee and his gang threatening him. He usually pulls out of team plans if it goes into serious dangerous territory and in rare occasions will help the heroes stop it.

Man, I think this is the scariest version of Kraven I’ve seen; the guy is usually a regular villain even amongst the Sinister Six, but here he was so strong not even they could kill him, not to mention he basically killed Peter too. And man, Shocker really gave him the best fight of all of them, people usually see him as one of the weaker Spiderman villains, but he fought to the end with all he had, respect 🍻

Shocker was honestly the saddest to see go. I think [though I’m not completely sure] in the first game, shocker was on parole and in control of his life only putting on the shocker suit to save himself From the demons. Like tombstone in this game, he could’ve been one of the ones to turn his life back around, especially since Herman has only ever been just a mere thug compared to the rest of the rouge’s gallery

This game shows this version of Kraven as zero joke. This guy is a hunter, yes. But is actually smart and clever and actually tests you on your survival instincts. Every villain was so used to fighting Spider-Man that they weren't worried that anyone also could kill them. That's why they all lost when Kraven came after them. Especially Electro, he mentions that he was a waste of his time. Meaning that he wasn't expecting him to actually kill him and the moment he realized it, he got spooked. Same with Vulture. Scorpion was so used to his venom working on most but was not expecting Kraven to handle it. Shocker's Case, is slightly different. In the first game, he was actually working for someone who would kill him if he didn't do what he was told. That's why he fared better against Kraven compared to the rest but still died. And the worst part is, he got the best of Spider-Man and actually killed him, and was still a beast with his Symbiote Suit. This goes to show how Kraven is actually different from the others, he's actually smart and fights to kill. But now, this makes you have a little sympathy for the villains. They really didn't deserve to be ended by just one guy.

Some TH-camr glitched into one of Kraven’s rooms and rhino’s head was on the wall as a trophy. Maybe they planned on killing him too but the devs changed their mind? Who knows at this point.

They made Spider-man 2 Alot darker than the first Spider-man game. Showing the trophies he's taken from the villans he killed I didn't expect Kraven to be so deadly. It took an alien symbiote to stop him, that's badass

Cheesy and stereotypical, not dark, and not murdering anybody. Every main Spidey villain has been given much more depth and a power boost since their introduction, not just Kraven, the only ones that are left the way they are would be the ones that have no where to go or are forgettable I.E Rocket Racer, Big Wheel, Kangaroo, I kinda wanna add Tarantula to that list too, but he’s been given a bit of a boost as well I suppose.

Well, and thats the start of his best story, “The last hunt of Kraven”, kraven kills spider man and uses his suit to combat crime, the plot twist is that spider wasn’t dead, kraven just give a few sedatives in him, and when spidey goes to fight him, hes found dead, kraven kills himself after regained his honor Back
At first I was stunned that Kraven gave Shocker of all people respect but thinking about this Shocker not really. Whenever Shocker in this universe was backed into a corner he actually fought back and became rather dangerous despite being a glorified bank robber. We know this version has had his life threatened before in universe from Mr Negative so fighting a guy who wants to kill him isn't anything new to this Shocker either. I feel like Vulture, Electro and Scorpion were so used to fighting Spider-Man and never had to worry about him killing them that they didn't know what to do when they meet someone who was actually fighting to kill. Vulture - an old man dying of spinal cancer. Kraven had high hopes but seemed disappointed at the end Electro - Kraven seemed to have lofty expectations but called him weak body and mind despite his power. If I had to guess I presume that Electro freaked out when he realized that Kraven was out to kill vs Spider-Man, who always just wanted to capture him. Electro has probably never had to fight for his life before and that is jarring if you have never had to do that before, despite having the power to vaporize Kraven he never actually used it properly Scorpion - We see this fight and he panicked when his sting didn't do anything, despite Scorpion physically rivaling Spider-Man he was powerless when he panicked. Another one who probably could have killed Kraven had he had a different mindframe.
If Scorpion's sting was able to penetrate Kraven's skin, then he could have tried to go for the head and damage his brain, but I guess he was too used to his venom doing all the work and wasn't expecting Kraven to be inmune Plus thanks to PS4 Spiderman we know that Scorpion usually "plays" with his victims rather than finishing them instantly

So in a way Electro is kinda like Homelander. They have all this power, but never fought someone who was willing to fight on the same level as they, which made them play easy and safe. So when they find an opponent that IS willing to hurt and kill them, they have no real experience and start acting reckless.
I’m pretty sure kraven was scared when he saw venom. Seeing venom was the first time he probably ever felt fear hunting anyone which is why he knew from the get go this was probably his final hunt.
Probably a mix of fear and joy. His goal throughout the whole game was to find someone who could actually kill him and give him the fight he's been searching for. He's already weakened due to his cancer and is destined to die soon. He however won't accept such a death. He has been searching for someone to give him a near death experience again like he did in the past. He got that with symbiote Spider-man, and he got what he truly wanted with Venom. His true "final hunt"
i feel like getting his head eaten by a beast was probably not as honorable of a death as he was hoping for but he had some type of terminal illness so he basically just wanted to die in any way

Some people may not know this, but Kraven the Hunter’s character was largely inspired by another character named General Zaroff from the short story “The Most Dangerous Game”. To see him go through multiple villains in this game should come as no surprise, as he truly does live for the hunt
Kraven honestly feels a bit like a combination of Zaroff and his servant/hunting buddy Ivan, combining all of their strengths while keeping very few of their weaknesses

I love this Kraven so much, the dude might be a killer but he has a sense of honor when it comes to fighting seeing as he sees the world as kill or be killed with the strong surviving and is in search of an equal to put him down before his body kills him because to him that is weak and I respect that but in no means is he a good person but he is a really tough opponent in a 1v1

The thing I really like about Scorpion is that just like in Spiderman 1 he's able to get the drop on spiderman and while he like Kraven are able to react to the first attack, they're both taken off guard by his tail. Obviously the poison doesn't do jack to Kraven, but I still like that it's something he couldn't immediately counter.
For everyone saying there's no one left for 3 other than Green Goblin and Otto, i think you're missing an important villain that I think could come into play.. Spencer (or Alistair) Smythe. If you think about it, its all set up. After the events of 2 Norman is against Spiderman, and more people might be convinced to turn on him after the black-suit arc. Its a perfect time to introduce the Spider Slayers. (Edit: I was actually kind of thinking that's who was going to be revealed as Rio's boyfriend, though I'm happy at who we got) Also Morbius would be cool to see. He was in 1 as one of the head scientists behind Devil's Breath. Maybe he's working on a other cure for Harry that turns him into the bloodsucker. As for Carnage I think more than likely he'll come in the form of DLC, as I can't see Insomniac making us wait years to see the follow up to a side mission. Plus I don't see them wanting to drag the symbiote thing for a whole other game. He'd also be a major distraction from GG and wouldn't get a proper story arc. Edit: Though to be fair I could be wrong about Carnage, they did make us wait until 2 to see what became of Wraith.

I'm glad there's a lot of sympathy for Shocker in this comment section lol. I genuinely felt really sad when I found out Shocker was hunted like all the rest, I remember the banter Peter had with him in the previous game and MJ's comment "He didn't deserve this" made it a kick in the gut. Even Kraken kind of saw him as more than a B-List villain in the end.
Honestly they made craven genuinely interested because before I never really cared for craven and was super worried when I found out craven would be one of the bigger enemies. And if you're wondering my first experience with craven was in that one marvel Spider-Man TV show where he's literally just a IRL streamer😂
Kraven actually has one of the best stories in spider man comics, arc is called the final hunt. He basically beat spider man there and left him for dead. The game takes inspiration from that storyline.

I don't think he would've gone after Ock, mostly because Doc doesn't have his arms to fight with. Pretty sure Norman confiscated everything Otto worked on too, plus Kraven probably wouldn't have thought anything seeing that Otto is basically an uncooked noodle.
Games and movies are allowed to have 1 or maybe a few explicit scenes before they’re moved up a rating. Like in movies, they can say the F word in certain context 1 time and still maintain a pg 13 rating. That’s why they drop an F bomb in the new guardians

Gotta say that I really liked the zoo sequence with MJ, as opposed to the previous game. Rather than just sneaking around a series of puzzle rooms, it felt like I was able to explore an open map. Being able to actively charge and attack enemies also added to it well. I couldn't just openly run around, but I wasn't sitting helpless either.
The way Venom killed Kraven was just insane and I did not see that coming. Plus I’m suprised that Kraven killed several of Spidey’s enemies, instead of keeping them locked up and save them for the next Spidey game.
These guys didn't deserve to die. Like these guys are really Iconic and seeing them killed off screen is really heartbreaking and sad. And seeing Venom eating Kravens head is really dark for me.
Sad too because there were some villains that could be redeemed. Shocker... man, I felt so bad for him. And all I can do is say that at least he got Kraven's respect for bejng good prey, then again that itself isn't big of a compliment. But one that almost got offed was Tombstone, so glad he survived. While I loved, spectacular's version, It was nice to see a villain redeemed and return to everyday life. Kinda thankful too Mysterio wasn't targeted, but Hey he's just an artist for illusions, doesnt make for good prey. Though why tf is Screwball still alive?

Whether she got out or not is currently unknown but even if she did get out due to her fame (in game only) she would definitely not on his hit list. A big game Hunter wants only big game and she's just an equivalent to a mouse. Black Cat was more worthy of his hunt and she's only a mid game kill at best.
I haven’t played the game but I believe for Kraven, other than fighting someone worthy of his skill before he dies, that he fights for sport and to prove superiority over others that might prove a challenge for him. Kraven only killed those he was able to get his hands on, and other super-villains or potentially interesting adversaries were simply out of his reach. Question is why he spared Li whereas he killed the rest of his would be trophies?
If I had to guess, he’s smart, and so he saw that Miles was trying to get to Li, he was holding Li back from being taken and was almost willing to let innocents die, he most likely realized “this Spider-Man doesn’t want to let this guy go, perhaps he wants him” so most likely he kept Li alive hoping he could use him get Miles to snap and kill, because a Spider-Man who doesn’t kill means he’s holding back, but one who does kill, means a more deadly opponent….. and a more interesting prey to hunt
Could be that Li’s negative powers made him wary. They work fundamentally different than all the others’ powers. Everyone else’s powers, from Scorpion to Electro and even the Spider-Men, were pretty straightforward in that they acted on you on a physical level. Whereas with Li, he messes with your head. It’s all mental and/or metaphysical. If he got ahold of Kraven, he could’ve potentially turned him against the idea of dying during The Hunt, and to this Kraven, that’s WAY scarier than dying.
Not in this universe I think. At some point harry also jumps into a giant furnace while wearing venom and comes out just fine. I’m pretty sure it’s only sound and anti-venom that hurts him
I’d say kraven’s biggest advantage here was his prep time. He studied his opponents and had the money and resources to get the best possible counters to their powers. Basically like Peter but with better backing.
I know him killing rhino was cut but can you imagine what it would’ve been like if he did. It took a genius like Otto to create a means to remove rhino from his suit so you can only imagine what kraven had to do not only to kill him, but he through that suit to claim his trophy head.

I was a bit surprised by the outcome of the Venom fight. Didn’t expect them to actually do that honestly. Especially with how brutal it was. I expected it to be bloodless or just fade to black.
My favorite part about Karven the hunter in this game is that he lets his goons do all the hunting for him while he fought the prey they captured for him one-on-one. You'd think the best part about a hunt is the actual hunting part but apparently not according to this guy.
So he took out Scorpion, Shocker (even though he wasn't a Sinister Six), Electro, and Vulture. Then he also after Tombstone, Mister Negative, Black Cat, Rhino, Doc Ock, Lizard, and Prowler. But what about Kingpin?
I don't think Kingpin interested him, because while intelligent and unusually strong, he's technically not superpowered or uses super-tech. In his mind, being an overweight mobster with a lot of goons, Kraven may have disregarded Kingpin as an unworthy foe.

It’s brutal but Spider-Man has probably the most extensive rogue gallery compared to any other superhero. The only one that comes close is Batman. Think about the Green Groblin Jackal Hydroman Hob Goblin Morlun Morbius Carnage Mysterio Tarantula etc.
Insomniac will probably go the woke route and add new versions of previous villians just Bi-sexual or changing their race. Probably will get a gay electro in which spiderman will have to team up with a black whote tiger and miles to defeat.
Doc Oc, Norman Osborn, Mysterio, Lizard and Rhino are at least still active. There's also a few main baddies we haven't seen yet, including Morbius, Beetle, Carnage and the Smythe-family.
I totally missed the one with Electro... I know these guys are suppose to be Peter sworn enemies, but I was shocked just as much as MJ when I discover that most of Spider-Man greatest well known rouge gallery was killed off. Now I'm just wondering who will they use in the next game (besides the obvious Green Goblin).

If they were to created origins... I feel like Smythe (& Spider-Slayers) would be a good main antagonist. Hobgoblin would be too much or little next to Green Goblin (I mean Hobgoblin became Moon Knight enemy in the comics). Jackel & Clones should be major antagonist level than minor antagonist. Like maybe if they introduce a Silk game than he could be the antagonist. But yeah, I can see than adding Chameleon, Hydroman, Silvermane, and Swarm as villains. Like have Chameleon be a front villain much like Martin Li and Kraven while building up Green Goblin as the main antagonist.

@@kwayneboy1524 When you cover the Hunter Base side mission, you'll find records of phone calls from Kraven Family. The wife begs him to come back to anointed the heir and die as a peaceful man. He refused. The second was one of his sons wanting to join him, but was furious that he father say no. Third was his other son claiming he will give Kraven what he desire. Final one was Hunter Daughter admitting to killed her mother and brothers for the inheritance. She than was really to hunt Kraven, only for him to have her killed off after the message. (Actually it was a gunfire and him claiming that she needs to leave her country alive. So she may still be alive.)
Sandman and Electro I doubt would be killed by Kraven, as threatening as this version of him is. Sandman is kind of immortal in a way, and Electro can blast Kilojoules worth of electricity, something that even for Kraven would be deadly to be hit with.
True, Sandman is very powerful but Electro is different since he is narrow minded in terms of how to use his abilities and Peter said in PS4 Electro would be an Avenger level threat had he spent more time figuring out how his powers worked rather than just zapping with only 2 ppl coming to mind that can beat him easily like Thor one shotting and locking him up in his Hammer and Miles absorbing all his electricity since he did that before in his first game multiple times, and plus he's used to having Spidey catch and beat him up but not kill so he probably panicked when he went toe to toe with a guy who doesn't give a fuck if he's human or not.

So Kraven is absolutely superhuman in this game, right? Like I refuse to believe he isn't. Dude took Scorpion's tail to the chest and broke it like a twig.
He is a human mutant just like in the comics. So, in a sense he is superhuman because of the herbal potions he injects into himself, hence granting him superhuman properties.
Man Insomniac Games absolutely nailed Kraven in the game, he was so intimidating in every scene, had an amazing presence, an unstoppable hunter, the way he took out 4 of the sinister six was insane. Jim Pirri was the perfect voice actor for Kraven. Loved the theme too, so ominous and epic. His final fight against Venom was the perfect send off for his character.
Crazy to think there was no metahuman on Earth who could give Kraven what he needed. It had to be a creature from space to finally give him his Last Hunt.
We lost pretty iconic supervillans & question is, with whom they gonna replace them. They already introduced Swarm & Tarantula in the comics, so it’s gonna be interesting to see how they’ll be represented as same level as main guys were, just because they lower diff right now. Speaking about villians that Kraven has killed. Personally, I’m disappointed about Shocker only. That guy never was a main threat & closed a whole as side villian in the most of spider-man’s media + plus this version can be named as best one ever in my opinion. I really hoped that he will comeback in next instalment. Electro has a potential just because of his powers & the idea of becoming a pure energy, but this version of him has a lack of personality of big evil. Vulture might a have an interesting quest of his last fight against Spidey & then retirement dying. Scorpion was always a static enemy, so not a big loss. Anyway, the only question is who is gonna be on opposite side in next instalments of this universe, cause Insomniac also redeemed quite big number of Parker’s foes, which is kinda weird.
Was Taskmaster already dealt with in the DLC? Or has he yet to make another appearance? Cause there's him, Chameleon, Carnage, we know GG is coming, maybe Hobgoblin...They could probably have the Punisher show up as a temporary antagonist.
I absolutely hate when movies, tv shows and games kills off villains because they can’t be used again without some story bullshit to resurrect them and the absolute worst part in this game is most of them were killed off screen. This game just killed of a good portion of Spider-Man’s best villains 🤦♂️
I have such mixed feelings on this. On one hand, Kraven giving his thoughts on each of these villains is *fascinating* : Vulture- he feels disappointed, but not angry. Even implying he was hesitant to kill him. Makes sense since this Vulture is alredy an old man dying of cancer, which is even more poignant when you remember that its *implied* that Kraven himself is also dying from some form of sickness/cancer and how that was the reason he went on his final hunt in the first place. Electro- expected a demigod, but ended up fighting an arrogant brat who relied solely on his power. Its almost funny how Electro, who has the potential to be a worldending threat alongside Sandman, basically gets sh!t on lol Scorpion- He was sorely disppointed that ,instead of a coldblooded killer, he fought a sadistic coward who preferred to toy with his victims more than anything and who panicked when he realised his trademark poison wasn't working, despite his suit giving him strength that rivaled Spiderman. Shocker - *genuinely impressed* This suprised but it makes sense. Despite being a petty criminal at his core, Shocker was a *survivor* and the fact that Kraven describes their fight in detail and even reminisces about it, shows that he probably came *very close* to killing Kraven. Venom - no point in splitting hairs, Kraven saw Venom for what he was : a beast even *he* couldn't beat. His final hunt. And he charged forward like a badass knowing he was about to die. But on the other hand, with the sole exception of Dock Ock, literally all of the original Sinister Six members are *dead* by the end of the game and most are implied to be killed by Kraven himself before the game's plot even really starts. I just feel like that's such a missed opportunity to have them all die offscreen like that.

@@joshuaconnall4237 likely Kraven isn’t even aware of Ock. In the first game he isn’t really seen by the public, he releases the virus from distance unnoticed for instance. The whole third act gets blamed on Norman more than anything, so Ock got not clout for his actions.
Since Rhino can only be seen with a glitch in a room that doesn't technically appear in the game, I think they can say that he's still alive if they want to in the future. And I'm fine with that. He's my favorite out of the 4 base members of the Sinister Six.
Rhino isn't dead he was put into critical condition in miles morales and the thing of his head on the wall is scrapped content that you can only get too by glitching under the map
This Kraven is a beast! Though I had wished we got to see him killing at least another of the mentioned villains. Shocker sure earned his respect. I was expecting him to take Vulture as an alternate version of himself as they both suffer from cancer. Perhaps he could have said something like: "I'm glad I could at least rid him of his suffering."
The only part I don't like about kraven killing them is that now they won't return. Insomniac is gonna have to fill Pete and Mile's criminal roster again.

I’m kind of disappointed that they killed off the entire Sinister Six OFFSCREEN! I really don’t mind the creative decision, but I still think it’s a little lame that Scorpion was the only one we were shown a death scene. Really we’re down to Doc Ock, Taskmaster, Prowler, Carnage, Green Goblin, Hydroman? Sandman, Tombstone, Kingpin, Molten Man, Morbius? And the Lizard? I’m really interested to see where they go with the next game when they’ve limited themselves this much.

Kraven didn’t deserve to die because in the end, that’s what he wanted. He deserved to stay alive and rot in prison for the rest of his life, he didn’t deserve a worthy adversary in venom, he deserved to stay alive. Because death was what he wanted and it is a crime against humanity to give this man what he wants (in case you couldn’t tell, I adore scorpion)

It's crazy that Shocker came so close to being Kraven's perfect hunt, the way Kraven describes him, everyone thinks of Shocker like a joke, the villain of the week but Kraven even after defeating him treated that man with respect, he fought not to prove he was superior like with Scorpion but instead, he fought for his life, mad respect
Shocker always gives it his all because unlike the others, he's the weakest of the Sinister Six. Hell, I think Paste Pot motherfuckin PETE would fair just as well as him, so he's obviously going to perform better if the others were treating it as a normal fight instead of one for their life.

Shocker deserved so much better. He gave Kraven the biggest challenge, but failed to be an equal only because he only fought for survival. You can even see Shockers equipment is the only one not being studied, and is actually just laying there, the helmet is even resting in a box with cloth. Kraven seems to have nothing but respect for Shocker
I don't think he was Kraven's most difficult adversary. I think Kraven talks about him like that because he had something he valued more than what the stronger targets had, which was sincerity. The others like scorpion probably remained cocky goon villains up until the end. Shocker was was reformed at this point, and was just a man fighting for his life that he had to rebuild, even though he's has weaker abilities than someone like Electro. I think to someone like Kraven, this made him respect Shocker more as genuine prey, visciously fighting tooth and nail for survival while the others played pretend. You see a similar thing with other targets, too. The ones who survive, like Sandman and Tombstone are also some of the most genuine.

Which is saying a lot considering that Vulture is actually a genius. I mean how else would he made those wings? Didn’t exactly buy them or stole them, he make those suckers. Surprised he didn’t hunt down Hammerhead though. He did target Black Cat after all so I assumed he’d have his hunters get Hammerhead.. but I don’t think he’s worthy of being prey.
I’ve only just now noticed how the Hunters integrate the Six’s tech into their arsenal. They used the flight harness as a basis for the Talon drones. Electro’s rig for their nets that prevent you from fighting in the air. Scorpion’s toxin for their poison grenades and Shocker’s gauntlets for those twin machetes they use that create shockwaves.
Also mad respect to Herman for putting up the best fight.

Kraven insulted Scorpion, Vulture, & Electro. But he complimented Shocker.
From what I can see in the game and what others say, the reason for that is being the fact the others relied on their powers too much and or were so used to fighting spiderman that they didn’t think anyone could actually kill them. An example was Scorpion. He heavily relied on his poison to weaken and get the best of his enemies and when that didn’t work on Kraven he tried to crawl away in fear. For Vulture he was seasoned and heavily relied on his wings but isn’t said to have died easily so he must have put somewhat of a fight. Though once those were clipped he was just an old man. As for Electro, he is cocky, stupid, and arrogant, this prevents him from actually using his powers to it’s fullest potential. Shocker was an actual survivor who fought with everything he had to see the next day, he possessed some understanding of his shock gauntlets, but ultimately he died. All in all the problem with Spider-Man’s villains is that they relied on their powers and tech over actual skill and understanding of them. Which is why they all fell.

@@Shadedsins Yeah Shocker is just a guy looking for a quick cash grab usually for him it's how he survives, as we saw in the first game Shocker was only robbing banks because of Martin Lee and his gang threatening him. He usually pulls out of team plans if it goes into serious dangerous territory and in rare occasions will help the heroes stop it.

Man, I think this is the scariest version of Kraven I’ve seen; the guy is usually a regular villain even amongst the Sinister Six, but here he was so strong not even they could kill him, not to mention he basically killed Peter too. This guy is a hunter, yes. But is actually smart and clever and actually tests you on your survival instincts.
Every villain was so used to fighting Spider-Man that they weren't worried that anyone also could kill them. That's why they all lost when Kraven came after them. Especially Electro, he mentions that he was a waste of his time. Meaning that he wasn't expecting him to actually kill him and the moment he realized it, he got spooked. Same with Vulture. Scorpion was so used to his venom working on most but was not expecting Kraven to handle it. Shocker's Case, is slightly different. In the first game, he was actually working for someone who would kill him if he didn't do what he was told. That's why he fared better against Kraven compared to the rest but still died.
And the worst part is, he got the best of Spider-Man and actually killed him, and was still a beast with his Symbiote Suit.
This goes to show how Kraven is actually different from the others, he's actually smart and fights to kill. But now, this makes you have a little sympathy for the villains. They really didn't deserve to be ended by just one guy.

Amazing how Electro is deemed one of Spiderman's strongest enemies, with Spidey even seeing him becoming an Avengers level threat. Yet Kraven saw him as a simple weakling. Vulture was seasoned but obviously, he had to put up a good fight. While Shocker is deemed the weakest of Spiderman's villains as he is just a thug who runs. But Kraven saw Shocker's real potential, as Shocker was a runner, but a survivor when backed into a corner. Survivors give it their all to...survive. Crazy how Kraven was more satisfied with Shocker, even though Shocker still fell. Electro is just arrogant and stupid, and because of that he didn't use his full potential, and Kraven knew that. Scorpion, obviously depended on his poison to weaken his foe, when that failed, he was just a man wearing a tin can. I wonder what it would have been like if Rhino was among his prey. Obviously because he was used in the Miles Morales game, he wasn't coming back. Probably cuz he was out of commission, its stated that Rhino didnt die when he was stabbed.
Some TH-camr glitched into one of Kraven’s rooms and rhino’s head was on the wall as a trophy. Maybe they planned on killing him too but the devs changed their mind? Who knows at this point.

@@antonitocotter447I wouldn’t say always, classic Kraven back in his first appearances was literally just a bush hunter with mystical powers he got from magic potions, and in a lot of stories that really is all he is. Cheesy and stereotypical, not dark, and not murdering anybody.
Every main Spidey villain has been given much more depth and a power boost since their introduction, not just Kraven, the only ones that are left the way they are would be the ones that have no where to go or are forgettable I.E Rocket Racer, Big Wheel, Kangaroo, I kinda wanna add Tarantula to that list too, but he’s been given a bit of a boost as well I suppose.

The Classic kraven timeline is:
Kraven Goes to America to hunt spider-man, with his brother help (chameleon) they fight but lost.
After that kraven enters for a brieve moment in the sinister six, well they lose, and kraven leaves the Group, the reason is because he wanted to win fair and gained his honor Back.
Well, and thats the start of his best story, “The last hunt of Kraven”, kraven kills spider man and uses his suit to combat crime, the plot twist is that spider wasn’t dead, kraven just give a few sedatives in him, and when spidey goes to fight him, hes found dead, kraven kills himself after regained his honor Back
At first I was stunned that Kraven gave Shocker of all people respect but thinking about this Shocker not really. Whenever Shocker in this universe was backed into a corner he actually fought back and became rather dangerous despite being a glorified bank robber. We know this version has had his life threatened before in universe from Mr Negative so fighting a guy who wants to kill him isn't anything new to this Shocker either.
I feel like Vulture, Electro and Scorpion were so used to fighting Spider-Man and never had to worry about him killing them that they didn't know what to do when they meet someone who was actually fighting to kill.
Vulture - an old man dying of spinal cancer. Kraven had high hopes but seemed disappointed at the end
Electro - Kraven seemed to have lofty expectations but called him weak body and mind despite his power. If I had to guess I presume that Electro freaked out when he realized that Kraven was out to kill vs Spider-Man, who always just wanted to capture him. Electro has probably never had to fight for his life before and that is jarring if you have never had to do that before, despite having the power to vaporize Kraven he never actually used it properly
Scorpion - We see this fight and he panicked when his sting didn't do anything, despite Scorpion physically rivaling Spider-Man he was powerless when he panicked. Another one who probably could have killed Kraven had he had a different mindframe.
If Scorpion's sting was able to penetrate Kraven's skin, then he could have tried to go for the head and damage his brain, but I guess he was too used to his venom doing all the work and wasn't expecting Kraven to be inmune
Plus thanks to PS4 Spiderman we know that Scorpion usually "plays" with his victims rather than finishing them instantly
This Scorpion is also a sadist, he uses pointless hallucinogens instead actually potent venoms, playing with his prey, which proved his downfall

So in a way Electro is kinda like Homelander. They have all this power, but never fought someone who was willing to fight on the same level as they, which made them play easy and safe. So when they find an opponent that IS willing to hurt and kill them, they have no real experience and start acting reckless.

I’m pretty sure kraven was scared when he saw venom. Seeing venom was the first time he probably ever felt fear hunting anyone which is why he knew from the get go this was probably his final hunt.
Probably a mix of fear and joy. His goal throughout the whole game was to find someone who could actually kill him and give him the fight he's been searching for. He's already weakened due to his cancer and is destined to die soon. He however won't accept such a death. He has been searching for someone to give him a near death experience again like he did in the past. He got that with symbiote Spider-man, and he got what he truly wanted with Venom. His true "final hunt"
i feel like getting his head eaten by a beast was probably not as honorable of a death as he was hoping for but he had some type of terminal illness so he basically just wanted to die in any way

Some people may not know this, but Kraven the Hunter’s character was largely inspired by another character named General Zaroff from the short story “The Most Dangerous Game”. To see him go through multiple villains in this game should come as no surprise, as he truly does live for the hunt
"Man is the most dangerous game." Yet it when comes to Kraven, some rather inhuman is more dangerous than a simple game.
Kraven honestly feels a bit like a combination of Zaroff and his servant/hunting buddy Ivan, combining all of their strengths while keeping very few of their weaknesses

I love this Kraven so much, the dude might be a killer but he has a sense of honor when it comes to fighting seeing as he sees the world as kill or be killed with the strong surviving and is in search of an equal to put him down before his body kills him because to him that is weak and I respect that but in no means is he a good person but he is a really tough opponent in a 1v1

The thing I really like about Scorpion is that just like in Spiderman 1 he's able to get the drop on spiderman and while he like Kraven are able to react to the first attack, they're both taken off guard by his tail. Obviously the poison doesn't do jack to Kraven, but I still like that it's something he couldn't immediately counter.
For everyone saying there's no one left for 3 other than Green Goblin and Otto, i think you're missing an important villain that I think could come into play.. Spencer (or Alistair) Smythe. If you think about it, its all set up. After the events of 2 Norman is against Spiderman, and more people might be convinced to turn on him after the black-suit arc. Its a perfect time to introduce the Spider Slayers. (Edit: I was actually kind of thinking that's who was going to be revealed as Rio's boyfriend, though I'm happy at who we got)
Also Morbius would be cool to see. He was in 1 as one of the head scientists behind Devil's Breath. Maybe he's working on a other cure for Harry that turns him into the bloodsucker.
As for Carnage I think more than likely he'll come in the form of DLC, as I can't see Insomniac making us wait years to see the follow up to a side mission. Plus I don't see them wanting to drag the symbiote thing for a whole other game. He'd also be a major distraction from GG and wouldn't get a proper story arc.
Edit: Though to be fair I could be wrong about Carnage, they did make us wait until 2 to see what became of Wraith.

I'm glad there's a lot of sympathy for Shocker in this comment section lol. I genuinely felt really sad when I found out Shocker was hunted like all the rest, I remember the banter Peter had with him in the previous game and MJ's comment "He didn't deserve this" made it a kick in the gut. Even Kraken kind of saw him as more than a B-List villain in the end.
Honestly they made craven genuinely interested because before I never really cared for craven and was super worried when I found out craven would be one of the bigger enemies.

Kraven actually has one of the best stories in spider man comics, arc is called the final hunt. He basically beat spider man there and left him for dead. The game takes inspiration from that storyline.

I don't think he would've gone after Ock, mostly because Doc doesn't have his arms to fight with. Pretty sure Norman confiscated everything Otto worked on too, plus Kraven probably wouldn't have thought anything seeing that Otto is basically an uncooked noodle.

Yo shocker was the toughest one he fought,this shows how truly powerful he can be
Gotta say that I really liked the zoo sequence with MJ, as opposed to the previous game. Rather than just sneaking around a series of puzzle rooms, it felt like I was able to explore an open map. Being able to actively charge and attack enemies also added to it well. I couldn't just openly run around, but I wasn't sitting helpless either.
The way Venom killed Kraven was just insane and I did not see that coming. Plus I’m suprised that Kraven killed several of Spidey’s enemies, instead of keeping them locked up and save them for the next Spidey game.
These guys didn't deserve to die. Like these guys are really Iconic and seeing them killed off screen is really heartbreaking and sad.
And seeing Venom eating Kravens head is really dark for me.
Sad too because there were some villains that could be redeemed. Shocker... man, I felt so bad for him. And all I can do is say that at least he got Kraven's respect for bejng good prey, then again that itself isn't big of a compliment.
But one that almost got offed was Tombstone, so glad he survived.
While I loved, spectacular's version, It was nice to see a villain redeemed and return to everyday life.
Kinda thankful too Mysterio wasn't targeted, but Hey he's just an artist for illusions, doesnt make for good prey.

Whether she got out or not is currently unknown but even if she did get out due to her fame (in game only) she would definitely not on his hit list. I haven’t played the game but I believe for Kraven, other than fighting someone worthy of his skill before he dies, that he fights for sport and to prove superiority over others that might prove a challenge for him. Kraven only killed those he was able to get his hands on, and other super-villains or potentially interesting adversaries were simply out of his reach. Question is why he spared Li whereas he killed the rest of his would be trophies?

If I had to guess, he’s smart, and so he saw that Miles was trying to get to Li, he was holding Li back from being taken and was almost willing to let innocents die, he most likely realized “this Spider-Man doesn’t want to let this guy go, perhaps he wants him” so most likely he kept Li alive hoping he could use him get Miles to snap and kill, because a Spider-Man who doesn’t kill means he’s holding back, but one who does kill, means a more deadly opponent….. and a more interesting prey to hunt
And when he fought Venom, he knew he’d die to Venom and thus wanted a warrior’s death.
Could be that Li’s negative powers made him wary. They work fundamentally different than all the others’ powers. Everyone else’s powers, from Scorpion to Electro and even the Spider-Men, were pretty straightforward in that they acted on you on a physical level. Whereas with Li, he messes with your head. It’s all mental and/or metaphysical. If he got ahold of Kraven, he could’ve potentially turned him against the idea of dying during The Hunt, and to this Kraven, that’s WAY scarier than dying.

I’d say kraven’s biggest advantage here was his prep time. He studied his opponents and had the money and resources to get the best possible counters to their powers. Basically like Peter but with better backing.

I was a bit surprised by the outcome of the Venom fight. Didn’t expect them to actually do that honestly. Especially with how brutal it was.
I expected it to be bloodless or just fade to black.
My favorite part about Karven the hunter in this game is that he lets his goons do all the hunting for him while he fought the prey they captured for him one-on-one. You'd think the best part about a hunt is the actual hunting part but apparently not according to this guy.
So he took out Scorpion, Shocker (even though he wasn't a Sinister Six), Electro, and Vulture. Then he also after Tombstone, Mister Negative, Black Cat, Rhino, Doc Ock, Lizard, and Prowler. But what about Kingpin?

I don't think Kingpin interested him, because while intelligent and unusually strong, he's technically not superpowered or uses super-tech. In his mind, being an overweight mobster with a lot of goons, Kraven may have disregarded Kingpin as an unworthy foe.

This was definitely a story beat I'm mixed on. They killed half of Peter's rogues gallery in this game. What does that mean for Peter's future?

It’s brutal but Spider-Man has probably the most extensive rogue gallery compared to any other superhero. The only one that comes close is Batman. Think about the Green Groblin Jackal Hydroman Hob Goblin Morlun Morbius Carnage Mysterio Tarantula etc.
Insomniac will probably go the woke route and add new versions of previous villians just Bi-sexual or changing their race. Probably will get a gay electro in which spiderman will have to team up with a black whote tiger and miles to defeat.
Doc Oc, Norman Osborn, Mysterio, Lizard and Rhino are at least still active. There's also a few main baddies we haven't seen yet, including Morbius, Beetle, Carnage and the Smythe-family.

I know these guys are suppose to be Peter sworn enemies, but I was shocked just as much as MJ when I discover that most of Spider-Man greatest well known rouge gallery was killed off.

If they were to created origins... I feel like Smythe (& Spider-Slayers) would be a good main antagonist. Hobgoblin would be too much or little next to Green Goblin (I mean Hobgoblin became Moon Knight enemy in the comics). Jackel & Clones should be major antagonist level than minor antagonist. Like maybe if they introduce a Silk game than he could be the antagonist.
But yeah, I can see than adding Chameleon, Hydroman, Silvermane, and Swarm as villains. Like have Chameleon be a front villain much like Martin Li and Kraven while building up Green Goblin as the main antagonist.

The wife begs him to come back to anointed the heir and die as a peaceful man. He refused.
The second was one of his sons wanting to join him, but was furious that he father say no.
Third was his other son claiming he will give Kraven what he desire.
Final one was Hunter Daughter admitting to killed her mother and brothers for the inheritance. She than was really to hunt Kraven, only for him to have her killed off after the message. (Actually it was a gunfire and him claiming that she needs to leave her country alive. So she may still be alive.)
Shocker went down like a unit. Wish we could’ve seen these as cutscenes

Sandman and Electro I doubt would be killed by Kraven, as threatening as this version of him is. Sandman is kind of immortal in a way, and Electro can blast Kilojoules worth of electricity, something that even for Kraven would be deadly to be hit with.
True, Sandman is very powerful but Electro is different since he is narrow minded in terms of how to use his abilities and Peter said in PS4 Electro would be an Avenger level threat had he spent more time figuring out how his powers worked rather than just zapping with only 2 ppl coming to mind that can beat him easily like Thor one shotting and locking him up in his Hammer and Miles absorbing all his electricity since he did that before in his first game multiple times, and plus he's used to having Spidey catch and beat him up but not kill so he probably panicked when he went toe to toe with a guy who doesn't give a fuck if he's human or not.

He is a human mutant just like in the comics. So, in a sense he is superhuman because of the herbal potions he injects into himself, hence granting him superhuman properties.
Always has been in the comics, and yeah, same deal here.
Man Insomniac Games absolutely nailed Kraven in the game, he was so intimidating in every scene, had an amazing presence, an unstoppable hunter, the way he took out 4 of the sinister six was insane. Jim Pirri was the perfect voice actor for Kraven. Loved the theme too, so ominous and epic. His final fight against Venom was the perfect send off for his character.
Lucky Doc Ock was safe at the Raft.
Crazy to think there was no metahuman on Earth who could give Kraven what he needed. It had to be a creature from space to finally give him his Last Hunt.

We lost pretty iconic supervillans & question is, with whom they gonna replace them. They already introduced Swarm & Tarantula in the comics, so it’s gonna be interesting to see how they’ll be represented as same level as main guys were, just because they lower diff right now. Speaking about villians that Kraven has killed. Personally, I’m disappointed about Shocker only. That guy never was a main threat & closed a whole as side villian in the most of spider-man’s media + plus this version can be named as best one ever in my opinion. I really hoped that he will comeback in next instalment.
Electro has a potential just because of his powers & the idea of becoming a pure energy, but this version of him has a lack of personality of big evil.
Vulture might a have an interesting quest of his last fight against Spidey & then retirement dying.
Scorpion was always a static enemy, so not a big loss.
Anyway, the only question is who is gonna be on opposite side in next instalments of this universe, cause Insomniac also redeemed quite big number of Parker’s foes, which is kinda weird.

Was Taskmaster already dealt with in the DLC? Or has he yet to make another appearance? Cause there's him, Chameleon, Carnage, we know GG is coming, maybe Hobgoblin...They could probably have the Punisher show up as a temporary antagonist.
I absolutely hate when movies, tv shows and games kills off villains because they can’t be used again without some story bullshit to resurrect them and the absolute worst part in this game is most of them were killed off screen. This game just killed of a good portion of Spider-Man’s best villains 🤦♂️
Now it's time to see if they can use other villains
I have such mixed feelings on this.
On one hand, Kraven giving his thoughts on each of these villains is *fascinating* :
Vulture- he feels disappointed, but not angry. Even implying he was hesitant to kill him. Makes sense since this Vulture is alredy an old man dying of cancer, which is even more poignant when you remember that its *implied* that Kraven himself is also dying from some form of sickness/cancer and how that was the reason he went on his final hunt in the first place.
Electro- expected a demigod, but ended up fighting an arrogant brat who relied solely on his power. Its almost funny how Electro, who has the potential to be a worldending threat alongside Sandman, basically gets sh!t on lol
Scorpion- He was sorely disppointed that ,instead of a coldblooded killer, he fought a sadistic coward who preferred to toy with his victims more than anything and who panicked when he realised his trademark poison wasn't working, despite his suit giving him strength that rivaled Spiderman.
Shocker - *genuinely impressed*
This suprised but it makes sense. Despite being a petty criminal at his core, Shocker was a *survivor* and the fact that Kraven describes their fight in detail and even reminisces about it, shows that he probably came *very close* to killing Kraven.
Venom - no point in splitting hairs, Kraven saw Venom for what he was : a beast even *he* couldn't beat. His final hunt.
And he charged forward like a badass knowing he was about to die.
But on the other hand, with the sole exception of Dock Ock, literally all of the original Sinister Six members are *dead* by the end of the game and most are implied to be killed by Kraven himself before the game's plot even really starts.
I just feel like that's such a missed opportunity to have them all die offscreen like that.
Mr. Negative is still alive, although probably powerless
What would be the point of killing doc ock if he didn’t have his robo limbs. He was shown to be crippled by the end of the first game, so what would be the point of Kraven hunting someone who couldn’t move
@@joshuaconnall4237 likely Kraven isn’t even aware of Ock. In the first game he isn’t really seen by the public, he releases the virus from distance unnoticed for instance. The whole third act gets blamed on Norman more than anything, so Ock got not clout for his actions.

Since Rhino can only be seen with a glitch in a room that doesn't technically appear in the game, I think they can say that he's still alive if they want to in the future. And I'm fine with that. He's my favorite out of the 4 base members of the Sinister Six.

I kinda expected Vulture to be dead because of the spinal cancer. But Shocker and Rhino especially caught me off guard
Rhino isn't dead he was put into critical condition in miles morales and the thing of his head on the wall is scrapped content that you can only get too by glitching under the map
So crazy that prowler never got his chance on kraven i think he could been decent unlike the other villains aaron was clever abd didnt have a ego
My only gripe with the story is this. So much more could have been done with this yet they take the lazy way by putting it into audio recording.
Kraven is so scary. He killed the sinister six as if they were nothing.
This Kraven is a beast! Though I had wished we got to see him killing at least another of the mentioned villains. Shocker sure earned his respect. I was expecting him to take Vulture as an alternate version of himself as they both suffer from cancer. Perhaps he could have said something like: "I'm glad I could at least rid him of his suffering."
The only part I don't like about kraven killing them is that now they won't return. Insomniac is gonna have to fill Pete and Mile's criminal roster again.

I’m kind of disappointed that they killed off the entire Sinister Six OFFSCREEN! I really don’t mind the creative decision, but I still think it’s a little lame that Scorpion was the only one we were shown a death scene. Really we’re down to Doc Ock, Taskmaster, Prowler, Carnage, Green Goblin, Hydroman? Sandman, Tombstone, Kingpin, Molten Man, Morbius? And the Lizard? I’m really interested to see where they go with the next game when they’ve limited themselves this much.
You also have "Swarm" who is a Nazi made out of bees and The Trapster who shoots glue.....those are real characters in game lore.
I would think Spider-Man 3 they get resurrected by Dr. Alistair Smythe into Ultimate Universe Designs as the Comic and Cartoon versions

I wished we was shown his other fights against the other members of the sinister 6. Was it one on one or did he come prepared. Especially Rhino it's just hard to believe he beheaded most of the sinister 6. And what was the substance he took to make him so strong. Maybe a stronger version of the super soldier serum

Rhino’s head isn’t canon to it. That’s scrapped content so it is not technically canon, meaning for now, Rhino is still alive.
Kraven didn’t deserve to die because in the end, that’s what he wanted. He deserved to stay alive and rot in prison for the rest of his life, he didn’t deserve a worthy adversary in venom, he deserved to stay alive. Because death was what he wanted and it is a crime against humanity to give this man what he wants (in case you couldn’t tell, I adore scorpion)
Nah, he’s way better off dead, because he would probably try to break again and search for even more prey, he wanted to die, and he got what he wanted

Shocker wasn't even in the simister 6 in this game. The sinister 6 was vulture, electro, rhino, mister negative, Scorpipn, and Doctor Octopus.
