Nice setup!! Quick question, how do you swap between your throttles? How long does it take to swap? I have a very similar setup with the Winwing panels and Super Taurus throttle mounted on a Monstertech mount and looking into getting a Viper throttle as well. But I need it to be a quick and easy swap so I'm looking for inspiration. Thanks!
From an F18 to F16, about 15 minutes. Because I have to switch out the F16 throttle that's already on its own mount, then I have to swap out the take-off and combat panels, set up the two F16 MFDs and side stick. I bought mounts and stick bases for each setup I have to reduce the setup time. Setup times vary from 5-20 mins. F18 to F14 is around 5 minutes, and for a helicopter with a collective setup, it is 20 min. Thank you for watching.
Ok, you must know the answer to this, I saw you use your physical control panel (mips? or something like that, the box thing) and yet you kept on your VR headset. I get the VR lets you see a cockpit BUT is it easier to touch it via your actual hand?? I am asking since I am thinking of going a VR PIMEX route and am trying to understand the need OR advantage of getting these control boxes versus jus using a mouse. not sure the experience is enhanced enough to justify the cost but I suppose that is super subjective. Being a guy who has never got into gaming, it looks like DCS with appropriate equip is heading to well over 6k .
When I first started VR, I thought it was the end of cockpit controls other than the throttle and stick. Because it was so cool to manipulate all the switches with a motion controller and not the mouse and keyboard. But after awhile I found that under high work loads it was a pain to remove your hands from the HOTAS pick up the motion controller and enter a 10 digit grid from a JTAC to setup for CAS or Use a MFD to run your Radar. My F18 setup with voice attack, I don't use the motion controllers, mouse, or keyboard. The keyboard is to exit the simulation, and that's it. Using the mounts, I position the controls exactly where they align in the VR headset so you can reach out and touch the controls. It's so immersive. I have specific panels and throttle for a lot of aircraft for DCS, including helicopter collectives. Down sides are expense and setup time. Just for the controls, it's $1000 to $2000 per aircraft. The cheaper side depends if some of the controllers are shared because Flights Stick is used in other aircraft, for example. Setup time for a clean desk is 10-20 minutes. Switching from an F18 to F14 would be 10 because I use the throttle setup for both and switch out the center and right side of the cockpit. Hope this helps you in deciding. I have a video series on my channel that shows my favorite setups. F14, F18, A10, KA50, F15C, and F16. Thanks for watching!
@@KarmasGhosts ok, but how do you get 2 different ingame views? main is what you see in vr, and how do you get second looking back at the same time? looking grate!!!
@LUKSUS84 After the flight, I set the camera angle and I recorded the flight looking aft. Then I placed my green screen recorded self on top of the in game footage and synced all the videos together. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Look at that high speed gear their Amrak!
The the new format looks great.
Thank you! Trying to make it more interesting for viewers.

How did you set up your captures to get rid of the mask and also your overlay
I setup multiple independent 4k cameras and used Stream Labs OBS to capture DCS without overlays. Then I synced them in post.
