I didn’t find the exchange between Ricky Gervais & Mel Gibson cringe. It was funny & they both had a sense of humour about everything. Also, Ricky Gervais needs to come back & host. 🙏🏽
Nicholson's remarks on Kidman's nose and Mulroney's hair weren't cringy at all: Nicole famously wore a nose prosthesis for her role as Virginia Woolf in "The Hours" for which she won a Golden Globe at the exact ceremony. Nicholson rightfully made a joke about the Hollywood Foreign Press putting "About Schmidt" in the drama category. They are notorious for placing films in categories they don't belong so they expand their chances of being nominated. For example they put the science-fiction drama "The Martian" in the best comedy category. Anyway, when was speaking of Mulroney's hair he was referring to the mullet Mulroney's character sports in "About Schmidt", because it looked so ridiculous that it was clear said movie was a comedy.
Noticed that Ricky's comment of Mel over Bill was delivered while Weinstein is seated in the audience? Talk about the irony and his massive fall from grace a year after that joke 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ Just seeing Harvey sitting there made me cringe
‘Controversial’ is an interesting adjective for this list. But you should do one for all the bad male behavior like Renner’s comment. And that last one!!!
Err why ? He was the most factual and the most watched every time , he was the funniest host they have ever had , but that’s the thought of the top comedy experts around the world
Not quite the Golden Globes, but still on topic with the Academy. Who else finds it controversial that most of the "winners" for the Best Animated Feature award are from Disney/Pixar movies? Even in years where there are WAY better candidates for that title.
@@olleselin I meant the NON-Disney ones that deserve to win! Like HTTYD 3; Pixar making toy story 4 was just an excuse to screw DreamWorks over, again!
If it's any consolation, neither Disney or Pixar got nominated for Best Animated Feature at this year's Annie Awards (even though Elemental got noms in six other categories).
The one entry I totally don’t find controversial is Ricky Gervais hosting the Golden Globe Awards Shows. He was speaking the truth calling everyone out. A true American hero from another country!
Definitely the moment with Chris Rock and Will Smith. Happy sunday morning, Rebecca, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Ok, not all of these are controversial, Some are just cringy or embarrassing, but we really need to back off this overused term, "controversial." For examplex how is the classy and clever Blanchett even in this video?! She wasn't nearly as drunk as half the people in the room, and even if she was, sure sounded ans looked a whole lot classier and funnier than they would have Then again, some behaviour actually IS controversial and doesn't even get the attention it deserves, because people have grown so accustomed to the keyword. That being said, your number one pick, I couldn't agree with more! That was super inappropriate on any possible level, only made worse by how much he defended poking her boob (I work as a model and obviously you get touched all the time, but nobody has ever poked my breast from the side and asked are you wearing a bra under that).
The only time that the Golden Globes are controversial is why does it exist in the first place. The Critics Choice Awards, the BAFTAS, the SAG, DGA, PGA, etc. are understandable. But the Golden Globes not so much. Plus last years host was garbage. At least he can act in Poor Things. But not in comedy shows.

I really liked his show, After Life. It's heartwarming and funny and sad. But his standup has become bigoted, and I found his hosting a little too mean-spirited to be funny. He acts like he's so above the Hollywood thing even though he is absolutely a part of it.

Nothing Ricky Gervais says is controversial. It's truth.
Why you gotta make it political
Yeah, at least he isn’t blowing smoke up anyone’s behind, unlike others.
Except for him saying God doesn't exist.
@@guesswhat-chickenbuttwelp, that is truth also.
I don't think you know what 'controversy' means. And they say the younger generation struggles with comprehension skills ...

He was awesome each time and yet people got offended because they're snowflakes
they booed him?

Ricky Gervais was speaking facts; nothing controversial
It's all jokes...everyone is on the joke...and no one cares about his jokes.
I see Ricky, I click 😂❤
First off, Ricky Gervais was the only ones with the stones to say REAL and HILARIOUS jokes at the expense of these overrated clowns 🤡
Ricky Gervais is just so funny, though.
Ricky Gervais hosting gives the boost to the show which no other comedian can do and that is why he is the 🐐
ricky gervais was the reason i watched the golden globes... he should be the default presenter every year.
It's hysterical that Ricky won last night. Still laughing😂
