      The folks at Ms Mojo who put together this video need to double check their facts on Judy Garland. Yes, she struggled with substance abuse throughout most of her adult life. However, Judy Garland did not die from a drug overdose. There was a very extensive autopsy that was done on Judy Garland following her death in 1969 that proved that her death was from something else entirely.

    Jack Nicholson’s comment about Nicole’s nose was because the part she was nominated for that night was Virginia Wolfe, and she had to wear a prosthetic nose for the role that made her look almost unrecognizable

  • @thinkingoutloud8460
    @thinkingoutloud8460 ปีที่แล้ว +40

    I think you are missing some of the inside info in the speeches these actors/actresses are giving: Jack Nicholson commenting on Nicole's old nose was related to the huge nose they gave her in "The Hours", Cate Blanchet's comments relating the amount of booze offer to her to the amount of drugs they gave to Judy Garland to keep her thin which caused her drug addiction and eventual overdose was not off-colored, it was a slap in the face to an industry that encourages alcoholism and drug abuse that often destroys the lives of those who might be too weak to say "no", Rosamund Pike taking this opportunity to call out the US legal system that easily allows con artists in to destroy the finances and life time earnings of our confused elder population is spot on, Catherine O'Hara's was using her typical, funny and beloved humor from her Schitt's Creek character. How sad to look for "cringe" moments that simply do not exist. These are human beings who work very hard inside such a flaky industry - and they do it well. Why try to take them down?

    I saw someone online ripping Rami for being casted as an Egyptian thinking he was white and every single person was standing up for him. Cate's analogy may have not been the best choice, but there is truth in what she said, and she was not making light of Judy's death. Judy was plied to take drugs by those in the entertainment industry whom managed her career, powerful controlling men. That was what Cate was addressing.

These people have been lucky to have a job that pays them a lot of money and be able to do what they love. They make more money for one movie than we will see in a lifetime. So lighten up, laugh it off and quit being big babies. The field they work in should help them get over it, we are the ones that need to be shocked.

    Too much fuss over a funny globes joke with J. Lopez and several funny jokes & very good impressions of Bill Cosby (very dark humor, but funny you must admit.) People have different levels of taste. I thought the only aggregious slip was Isaac Mizrahi's groping poor Scarlett Johansen. Gay men sometimes think they have a pass to do that kind of familiar touching & he is a designer who has surely worked with runway models & fittings. But even women do not grope each other when discussing fashion & fit. Wake-up! ❤

    I do not feel bad whatsoever lovin' Amy Poehler and Tina Fey's comedy. Cringe it may be but nothing is more cringer than he, the name we shall not mention.

    Check the definition of “cringe” and review the context of most of these speeches: that will help you avoid doing nonsensical compilations like this. This is so far fetched that this video doesn’t make any sense. At worst some of these situations were “oh okay” and the rest was quite fun. If you run out of ideas for videos, hire people with fresh ideas.
