      Thanks! We are about 18 months in to the mod and love it! Countertop holding up and we do not miss the stove at all. Let us know if you do the same - would love to see pictures. Happy Camping!

      It is nice to have the counterspace! We thought about maybe adding a single burner at some point but so far have not needed it. How long have you been without it?

    Nice video! We did the dimmable lights and bathroom doorknob mods too - love 'em! Have you swapped out the mattress? We have decided that getting a new mattress is at the top of our list for next season - we still need to find one that will work for us.

      Thank you! Really appreciate the watch and glad you have found them helpful!
      So we actually have just purchased a new mattress. Spent a few weeks on it so far and have another trip planned to give us about 30 nights. We have all the video filmed except what we think on this trip coming up. Should be out the first few weeks of January.

    Hi guys! Excellent video! Lots of good insights. As for the closet, like you, we’ve modified ours based on experience. We added 2 more shelves and made it more functional with more storage. But we still like having the door. It matches the trailer well, we don’t find it intrusive when we want o go in and out of the closet, no danger of anything falling out, and it keeps and disorganization hidden from view. I have yet to do it but I’m gonna copy your idea for the armrest shelf. I don’t recall, did you put one on both sides or just the south end? Love the removable shelf over the bed but haven’t had a need for the extra storage yet. If we do, that’ll be the next addition. Really looking forward to your bathroom mods. As I told you I added a shelf under the sink as others have done and Cindy loves it! I’d live it if you could somehow improve the space / functionality in the shower. (And please don’t suggest the pool noodle idea. Doesn’t work).😊 For us, that’s the only weakness in the whole design of the G19FBS. Keep em comin guys!

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lee! It is amazing how much stuff you can cram into a small space lol. And we get that with the door - being able to close it off is nice. And using that panel to make the door like you did definitely made it look like it came that way. I think with us, that Camco bar on the screen door limits how wide we could open the storage door without opening the screen door. Luckily - everything is wedged in their so tight, nothing moved lol (although we do take the water bottles out!).
      We just did the one armrest. Troy uses it all the time - I like having the holder for my coffee cup as Desi is always jumping on and off the bed over that arm of the sofa haha.
      You mentioning that shelf in the bathroom to us earlier this year started us thinking that was a project we want to tackle this winter. And maybe some other ideas. I suggested knocking out the wall a few inches to make the shower bigger but Troy wasn't on board for some reason! But will definitely be a challenge to make that shower feel roomy. Good to know on the pool noodle - didn't see how that would work well and now we don't need to try! And agree on the bathroom being the downside of the camper. Have a great weekend!

    Thanks for the video. I am wanting to replace my above stove microwave with a convection microwave. Or do what you did and take out my stove and oven and just use electrical appliances. Do you have a video on the mod for the convection microwave?

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So our camper came with a convection microwave but it is in the same space the regular microwave came in if a buyer chose the stove option - so should be a direct swap out. The one we have is the RecPro Convection Microwave - 1.1 Cubic Foot (it is available on amazon). In our camper to remove - it is just unscrew the 6 screws on the trim plate, pull it out a bit, unplug and then fully remove. We did show pulling it out in the storage cubby video if that helps!

    Do you have to remove the things you store under the sofa when the slide goes in and out? My husband thinks we would have to. Thanks for sharing all that you do.

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We don't store much under there when traveling - we don't want things flying around! But, you could move the slide in and out as the floor under the couch doesn't move.
      However, would be really easy to get something stuck it if you weren't paying attention. Which is why we store things like our Instant Pot, air fryer, paper towels... once we are stopped and have it on our pre "flight" checklist to move to the bed or bathroom for travel. But, have seen others that fasten baskets or similar to the front kickboard for a more permanent setup.

    Can you list the materials used for the cupholder shelf? We have tried purchasing plastic ones for this purpose, but they were not stable so I'd like to try the ones you have shown here that look solid! Appreciate any advice.

      Hi! We did a video about 10 months ago called 5 Min Mod - Turn a Cupholder to End Table. We listed all the parts in the video (some from Lowes and some from Amazon) and we should have them listed in that video description as well. If you can find it let us know! Thanks for the watch!

      Hmmm - if they are just a little loose you could try wrapping some electrical tape around few times around it to make it a bit snugger. If a lot of- they make the pvc couplers in different sizes so might still be possible!

    Love your mods. Still waiting to do the dimmable lights in my trailer as the original is just too bright for me!
    Looking forward to see what your bathroom storage mods will be. I did get a similar drawer cabinet like yours which mainly store towels for me & 2 pups.

      They really make a difference. We had movie night a few weeks ago and just being able to leave a few on but dimmed made it so much better. Before we could turn some off but it was still bright.

    Side tables can be done with just a flat PVC plug glued into the 2" Glue coupler. Skip the floor flange ($18.00 ea at Lowes) and screw the wood directly into the PVC Plug. Fill in the screw holes with wood putty and sand flush. I saved $36.00. Loved them on our last camping trip.

    Hope Linda is feeling better! We're different campers than you guys, in that we have never stayed in a camp ground and would only do so in an emergency. Being primarily boondockers, because in fall-winter most parks have their water off anyway. I have the little waffle maker version of the egg cookers you have. Adorable. We loved having the oven in the winter spots to make little pizzas and potpies. Though I must admit I love the look of your counter top. If it were up to me, I'd reinforce a lot of the inner cabinets. I'd also move the water pump to a more accessible location. (2020 19BH has it under the bed)

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  ปีที่แล้ว

      Almost completely healed lol. And yes - boondocking / dry camping is definitely a different set up. With Desi’s health issues and being on the east coast (where dry camping is limited!) we have been relying on rv parks. One day that will be different! But we really like the Omnia and the coleman burner. We could make do without all those fancy appliances - but they do make it easier 😂. Agree on the water pump - crawling around to access it is not fun! Hope you have a wonderful December and enjoy the quiet camping!

    Thumbs down on the counter. One of the selling features for me was the 3 burner cook top and gas oven, but i did remove the microwave, who uses a microwave while camping. Not to mention the extra weight, it must be a lot heavier.

    • @WinesPinesandCanines

      Hi - thanks for the watch! And it is always funny how everyone uses their camper differently :) We never used the stove top but we use our convection microwave quite a bit! We do almost all of our cooking outside though. And we didn't mention it here but we did in the original video - suprisingly with the weight of the stove top gone and the original countertop, the new countertop only added about 5lbs. Happy Camping!
