Julie, you are such a great house wife, and I love all your tips, ideas, of cooking, running your home, and thrifting.. Thank you for sharing your ixeas, receipes, etc., I love your channel.!!!
Love your Chilli. I put 3 kinds of beans in mine. The banana 🍌 bread looked so yummy 😋. I clean as i go. Easier on my nerves, i dont have as much clean up after i eat. Boy you are busy. But it all becomes you. You can see how much you enjoy it all. Your house is lovely. My house is much cleaner because of you. Lol. Take care, stay warm. Enjoyed your videos always. Thanks for all the hard work you do getting them out to us...Good job❤❤❤
Hi Julie, I made chili yesterday, and I put beans in mine. I also made banana bread, I used a stick of butter. Had leftovers tonight. Have a good evening ❤ Brenda 🙂
Chili looks delicious. I love my chili over rice. I do put the light red kidney beans in mine. You are right that the flavors just get better by the next day.
OMG!! THANK YOU, ever so much for a SUPER VIDEO‼️❤️ You are One Special Lady, and "spending time" with you/you're a Friend, and I feel like we are Family!!! Hugs, from Sherri in Waco.😊❤️👏🏻
Hi Julie!! Enjoyed spending the time with you 😊 & yes you are one busy lady!! The chili & banana bread looked yummy!! I've never tried sausage in mine. I do put beans in mine. I like my meat really drained of grease cause my tummy doesn't like it. Loved the meal prep dishes & seeing the chickens 🐓 take care sweet girl ❤️☺️
The chili and banana nut bread looked so yummy. I put pintos in mine. Garlic salt, onions, chili powder, chili block and a chili seasoning pack.. I make a crockpot full. I love seeing the chickens..That is a good idea for meal prep..I hate to stop doing housework or whatever I'm doing to fix something to eat but if its in frig I could pull it out. Perfect. Great video, Julie. ❤😊
@@thrilledthrifterhomeyes it is at Walmart I have binge watched your videos of both of your channels since subscribing a few months ago. Love spending time with you!
I add chopped onions, chopped bell pepper, too. Instead of tomato paste I use a little ketchup and some sugar to cut the bitter tomato taste. I also add kidney and pinto beans. Yummy.
Yes kidney beans in my chili. And I use canned whole tomatoes chopped up as they cook down because I love tomatoes and love it a little chunky. I also sometimes add some elbow noodles at the end. Then it becomes chili Mac I guess you could call it). Yours looks delicious.
Wonderful video! You definitely stay busy and work rings around me. I don't know how you do it especially while talking to us here watching when you post. I would lose my train of thought of what I was doing and for sure burn something. I do make chilli beans as I love my beans. Like you when cooking for myself, I just throw things in by my taste. I want to get some more glass storage containers also. Beyond the fact that they are better for you, plastic is hard to clean and it stains. The plus for it would be storage which I don't have much of. I need to try and eat healthy. Having things ready would help. Since it's just me, I often wait till I'm starving and grab what's quick and let the good stuff go bad like your bananas. Thanks for sharing. I wish I had someone like you to help me get on track. You're great and I do hope your family appreciates you as much as you deserve. It sounds like they do though.
Hey Julie, I put deer meat in my chili sometimes instead of hamburger meat . And the card board would be good to use behind a picture if you didn't have the backing. But sometimes I put beans in it and other times without . I'd freeze left over chili later thaw out for hot dogs. That's chili without beans. Love dishes . I have them in single never seen with dividers. Live to have some of those .They look like a nice size.
I googled about being allergic to store bought eggs and it said storming and washing commercial eggs can sometimes damage the egg protein, making them more likely to trigger an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals, while fresh eggs from a trusted source might have intact proteins that cause less of a response. 💞
After a long comment already. I forgot something. I want to try using sausage and hamburger. I think that would add a lot of extra flavor and using tomato sauce instead of just diced tomatoes. I think I have in the past but maybe forgot that. I just made some and it definitely needed something. Thanks again!
Everything looked delicious 😋! My granddaughter asked if she could enter my chili in a chili cook off and she won twice first place, so I was very pleased with that and I do use beans in mine. We also love banana bread. Nice video Julie 😊. God bless…..🍃♥️🍃
Im from Ohio and I make Chilli with hamburger onions celery green peppers and Chilli Beans. And the tomatoes sauce chilli powder and tomato pastes.. For me its not chilli with out the beans !!! LoL😊 some times i add alittle cinnamon just for something different.. 😋 I forgot in Texas you all eat it with no beans..🙂 Your bread look so good..yum 😋 Thanks for sharing with us Julie...❤
I thought I was the only one to put the trinity in my chili! Got the veggies in for the family! Also the hot chili beans and crushed tomatoes and sauce!
Your chili and bread looks so good. In the Midwest many of us add macaroni to our chili and serve with both or either sour cream and shredded cheese. I use V8 as the liquid basis and three kinds of beans. I often add shredded carrots also as it cuts down on the acidic taste and a adds bit with some sweetness .
I have banana bread recipe that calls for sour cream. So good. I do make it in a 9 x 12 to make it more of a cake, and when I do, I make a crumb topping to bake on top . I also love chili, but with beans. You had a busy day! Love the containers as well.
Chili is a good soup to make now since it is so cold out. My chili has dark red and light red kidney beans along with some pinto beans. Love my beans in our chili. Thanks for sharing!!!
Julie, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I’m definitely going to see if my Sam’s has those Pyrex containers. Your chili looked delicious. I do put beans in my chili. I only use ground beef but I may try the sausage. Thank you for sharing this amazing video. God bless you and your family.
Cypress Ace on Jones Rd in Houston has good chili and taco seasonings. You should check them out next time you are in Houston, there is also an antique store near there with 3 building full of stuff
Julie, I love hanging with you in the kitchen. I do add beans to my chili just the way I like it. The banana bread/cake looks delish, did you add recipe here? I do need to meal prep because being single I tend to grab whatever is handy to eat which isn’t always healthy. Love seeing your chickens 🐔 💜💜💜
Just love spending time with you. I’m sitting here at about 5:00 am watching while icing my very sore knee after having a total knee replacement. (Not a surgery for the faint of heart!) 😫
Words of advice, just hang in there. It will get much better. The main thing is go to physical therapy and do all the exercises they give you even at home on days you don't have therapy. I know, I have had both of mine replaced. My husband is getting ready for knee replacement, also. Take one day at a time and it's going to be so much better!!!
I would add one thing to your advice. Take your medications as directed by your doctor. Trust me, you need them especially early on. I've had both knees and a shoulder replacement and knees are worse. I don't know about hip replacement but don't want to find out.
Your banana cake looked so yummy. I always put beans in my chili and eat with jiffy cornbread muffins. To me chili without beans go on a hot dog or a brat!
I can’t eat regular mayonnaise due to food allergies. I use Hain’s Safflower Mayonnaise. So good! No soy, no seed oils. At all our grocery stores (and Amazon).
Hi Julie, I don't put sausage in my chili. I cook pinto beans the day before we have chili. Have cornbread and pinto beans for dinner that night. Then the next day we have chili with pinto beans. I use my canned stewed tomatoes with tomato sauce in my chili. Also, onions, garlic powder and chili powder and them simmer. My husband loves pinto beans. Have a great week!!!
I always get organic dark chocolate and use it in my banana bread. I Smash It Up in a plastic bag with my wooden Mallet and it gets nice and fine and blends perfectly and has only very minor pieces. I find the chocolate chips are just too loaded with sugar, and the regular dark chocolate has some, but it's organic, and it works beautifully.
You s I understand like My husband. He makes chili with no beans. I told him that's not chili, all he's making is hamburger soup! Ya gotta have beans!!!😅
pinch of this, dash of that handful of this, toss some of that in there....etc; that is how my grammie told me how to cook and even my late husband who were a professional chef cooked.
I was surprised that you didn't put sugar in your chili to cut the acidity of the tomatoes. I'll be 72 on the 27th and my grandmother taught me that when I was a little girl. Sugar always goes into any of my tomato based dishes; at least a tablespoon.
Hi Julie,I do put dark red kidney beams in my chili and i make banana nut bread with peacans or walnuts. You are a busy woman . I use to be when I was younger lol. Your chili and banana bread looked delicious. Its so cold here in N.C. too . Still got snow on the ground . ❤
The super black bananas make awesome banana bread as long as they have no mold. The more ripe, the more flavor and moistness.. For chili, I use V8 veg juice , diced tomatoes and 1 tomato sauce. A big pinch of sugar helps tame tomato tartness. I like chili beans in mine also and same seasonings you used
