    The look from this lens is something different. Its highlight rolloff and type of contrast and color density... Instantly cinematic. Great review guys! (and those shots from Paris...mmm epic!)

      Thank you so much! We are definitely pleased with the Paris short, but like you say - the lens seemed to do all of the work for us :D

    FIRST, by the way I already told you at IBC that you shouldn’t use IBIS with the anamorphic lenses! 😄

      Hey Ruben! Thank you so much. Yeah - the whole 'Unseen Paris' cinematic vlog was shot on the 75mm Anamorphic. It was awesome to use. We also can't wait for you to try an anamorphic - you will be a changed man 🙃

    super. i saw your paris video, the look was amazing, that is a serious bit of kit though! 😮 i would be too scared to go out with that thing, on my own or otherwise. i'd be too scared of accidentally bang it or drop my camera through fatigue!
    Renting gear - that is an excellent idea, that not many creators talk about. it certainly does look like it could inspire so much creativity.
    I did not know that name of the type of lenses, so learnt something new today. cheers. "anamorphic lenses" 🤓
    what a great chat, again i felt like we were sat round a table just chatting and catching up on what you have found recently.
    you guys are amazing creatives. just amazing.

      It is a serious bit of kit! It was definitely a milestone when we got our hands on it. It’s actually our first ever cinema lens so we had to make this video. So glad you liked the look of the Paris vid, it was a chill one.
      Yea definitely, there’s so much gear out there that you may “want” but actually after giving it a go, you realise it’s not for you! So renting is a great option, especially if you can find decent prices somewhere. I wish we’d rented our 100-400mm because it’s barely ever on our camera, but I was so excited for it originally!
      That’s the best compliment. Thanks for joining us ❤️ it’s an absolute pleasure as always xx

    Even making anamorphic video using a phone adapter is cinematic. And a much cheaper starting point too. I threw together a test with my phone a while back and the editing was 😘. Just looked beautiful, even if it was a phone. I’ll definitely get an anamorphic lens for my “real” camera at some point.

    Thanks for the video. Can you explain how you used your Iphone as monitor? You said it, but it was so fast that I didnt really get. Thanks in advance and have fun with the lens :)

    • @TRIOStories
      @TRIOStories  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! Yes of course. We were able to use the iphone as a monitor, thanks to the Accsoon Cineview Nano. It's such a cool little tool and not too expensive too. It allows you to have an iphone as a monitor AND transmit the image wirelessly to an ipad for example, so that a director or someone else can watch what you're recording in real life too. Glad you enjoyed the video!
