You guys make it very hard to stop watching! Just recently found your channel, and must admit, i find myself usually 3 or 4 videos in before i realize the amount of time ive spent stairing at my tablet! You're a very welcome breathe of fresh air in this world going mad...
I've watched quite a few of your videos and I think they're great. You two are so pleasant to watch and listen to that it's almost like I was on the trip with you. I really like that you two have the class and professionalism that you don't use obscene language. You make us feel like we know you and would totally feel comfortable sharing a meal together or even sailing a short trip with you. The scenery is beautiful and the company is 1st class. MacAdams
Just a great adventure! Plenty of food, clean water, and you two are so compatible. Being together in close quarters 24/7 at times might be a challenge for some. My wife and I have been married some 22 years. We both know when to give each other space. Keep living your dreams!
If there is an afterlife, or reincarnation, I hope I can live the type of life you live once my current one is over. I'd give anything to live that dream. Hard work, hard play, and hardly a care in the world. You two might just be the luckiest, and most wonderful people I've ever seen. Keep living the dream, and thank you. :)
That incredible tree-root cascade next to the waterfall at 24:40 - just after seeing the dragonfly whose ancestors go back 325 million years or so. This really is a continent where history runs very deep.
Yes, we are all in love with Pascal. The two of you are absolutely wonderful. I binge watch all of your videos and now I am going through them nice and slow taking them in fully. The two of you are a real blessing to me.
Wow! What an absolutely stunning location. If this video doesn't encourage people to sail around Western Australia, I don't know what will. Fantastic video, probably my favourite so far.
You guys eat like kings and queens. I'm a little jealous lol Awesome videos. I have watched them all but I am now re watching for a second time. That is how much I enjoy your videos.
Well, caught you guys a few weeks ago and started at the beginning. Every vlog reinforces my desire to sail around Australia. Every vlog teaches me something useful. You guys are indeed awesome. ;-)
Each beautiful place you go! Living with nature, learning from it, is very rewarding. The clean water invites you to a natural bath. This is enjoying life! Congratulations!
Fantastic video, you’re both really natural and harmonious. I live in the top end but its nice to see the Kimberley with you two sharing in your adventures. Great channel, love your work. subbed!
Another fascinating video. You make us all happy with your daily joyous enjoyment of nature's wonderland. Must feel great to have that super-clean feeling after a freshwater swim. Cold water doesn't bother Pascale. Most others would shy away. And what a climber! I know she's careful, but it still makes us all a bit nervous to watch her scaling rocks in bare feet at some dangerous heights.
watching your videos is like watching a movie..We get so involved and love seeing your journeys.Thank you for sharing your life and adventures with us.We love you both ❤️😇🙏
My favourite episode so far! The landscape there is spectacular (like the waterfall). The variation in water colours is impressive, the stone formations quite interesting and as usual the music and cinematography really good. You'd think you had a studio and a crew of producers!
Thank you for sharing some of my back country, absolutely beautiful. Cheers guys. 🙏💋😉❣️ Been to Darwin, and lived and worked there for 5 years, was only giving myself 2years, as I’m a paleface, whitey and I mean white, 😉🤷♀️ I can’t take the sun, but ended up there for 5. Thoroughly enjoyed myself there too. Originally born/bred in STH Australia, Mt. Gambier and still there.
Cheers RJ. The Kimberley is certainly a lost world. We're so excited to be able to share our adventures here with everyone on TH-cam. Stay tuned there are many more episodes to come!
@@joernh341 Yeah, I wondered about that too! RAN, Delos, MJ Sailing, Sail Life, Patrick Lane (and all the other good ones I've missed) don't appear to have 'other people' videoing them! Michael is right though that 'Free Range Sailing' is good stuff.
Croc’s Snakes. Sharks. Spiders. Pesty Insects. What have I missed of the concerns in that country, other than an injury ? Really beautiful country, interesting history. Not many women would even try.....Lucky you, Troy.
Nice going on the survival kit, I've literally been made fun of because of the amount of survival gear i carry while snowmobiling in the northern Maine woods...But when you are broke down a 100 miles out in the middle of nowhere, all of a sudden everyone is glad i brought it.....This dude isn't getting caught with his pants down around his ankles!...lol
Good job guys, really great videos. Similar to the early days of how lavagabonde used to be in terms of down to earth original content. Very informative and knowledgeable content. You must have quite a bit of sailing experience
Thanks Lani. Most of my 15 years sea-time was commercial fishing/diving and transport. Under sail is only about 17,000 Nm in the last 4 years. In any case, we both have a few things to share that might be good for people starting out as to what options are available to them.
Free Range Sailing Well the experience shows through. You both seem very confident and comfortable in almost any sea state. Love the fishing tips and also the cooking recipes and food prep. The history and information about each place your visiting. Keep up the good work. . I have a couple of years on dive boats as well. As for sailing after years of power boat ownership, that only started for us about 3 years ago. We started out from Gove and had planned to sail back across the gulf and down the qld coast. Lack of knowledge not enough experience put a stop to that. That’s a long story for another time though.
Back to the Kimberly’s this year, no Croc’s on film but did you see any? Didn’t you catch Queenies there last year, if so none this year? I love how remote & natural the Kimberly’s are but not the Croc’s !!!! I mentioned this last year but I’m fascinated by the Spanish Mackerel you have there compared to the Mackerel we have here along the California coast. The meat on your’s is so white while ours is very dark & strong flavored. And your’s looks so much like a Wahoo. Another great vid. We just love your presentation and content, you two’s are terrific. Mark & Carol, San Francisco
Sublime! How on Earth could 8 people give a thumbs down? People hate because they’re jealous I think. Beautiful work. I’m looking at that monster cray you’re holding in the next episode, I’ll save that to watch at lunchtime. Haha
I am touched by this video. Such a wonderful and attractive couple exploring virgin territory and displaying it so well to the viewer. Just wondering how u can tell a pool of water is without any fresh water crocs!? What a rush, as they say! Still catching up on your vlogs one by one. They have all been very well done Thank You, from Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA
One of these days, I think it would make sense to be a sponsor of one of your projects Something for the boat, an accessory perhaps to exploring on land..........
That is such a beautiful place. It looks very much like our desert in southwest USA. Except you can take your cruising sailboat up to it... can't do that in our deserts.
Beautiful. Paradise. I take the barbs off my hooks to make it easier to shake off undersized fish without having to hold them and damage their skin. It also makes it easier to unhook yourself as well:-)
We press our barbs to reduce them for the good reasons you point out and if we didnt fish exclusively for our dinner I would do without them entirely. Fish hooks are a major hazard in remote wilderness far from doctors with an aesthetic!
I didn't know the Kimberley's were so rugged and remote. If one broke a leg back in those boonies, it doesn't look likely that someone would bump into you, so you're pretty much on your own. It's a beautiful area....puts me in mind of Crocodile Dundee's private land ;). Troy must have traveled this coast line several times, to know it so well. A really interesting video guys.....thank you!
The Kimberley is indeed very remote which is its attraction. Throughout our videos, you may notice I always have a black backpack on. Inside is first aid equipment for cuts, breaks and snakebite. There is an emergency beacon, 3 seperate ways to make fire, carbon steel knife and sharpener and capacity for 3l of water. Also, we gave a brief overview of our dinghy tub with assorted tools for getting out of trouble. We try to anticipate problems and the rest is just kinda roll with what life throws up. We dont have a lot of local knowledge, this being all about exploring our country but a few basic skills and keeping your eyes open go a long way. Thank you for commenting here so others can benefit from the reply and we'll make sure we keep putting out our style of vids.
Im watching your videos from the beginning, great quality video and you both do a great job explaining both on camera and voice over, I've been to the Kimberley and I saw a lot of crocs, mostly fresh water, are you just happy to swim with them?
Just watched all your TH-cam videos in one go! Just wanna say you guys are my favourite! Been watching sailing vlogs for a couple years now and you guys have just nailed it for me :) I'll definitely be following you on your journey:) I hope you don't mind me messaging and asking questions from time to time about your travels as I hope to one day do the same :) brynn

loved watching Pascal exploring in her beautiful overall outfit. She's such a beautiful soul.
Thank you. I have nothing more to say. Apart from, this is the best thing on TH-cam.

Another absolutely beautiful little film. Canny fishing, skinny dipping, and moving gently over sea and land. Well done.
Just a great adventure! Plenty of food, clean water, and you two are so compatible. Being together in close quarters 24/7 at times might be a challenge for some. My wife and I have been married some 22 years. We both know when to give each other space. Keep living your dreams!

There’s no drug better than watching you two great footage hypnotic even
You guys are stinking great. No try hard bs here. Smart, happy and tuned in to your surroundings. A pleasure to view.
Thanks Phil. Yep, pretty effortless BS from our channel. Glad you found us- welcome aboard.

Fantastic couple living the dream. What more could a person want.
One thing for sure, you are not short on catching and having fresh fish, with pretty good recipes. GREAT job on all you did on this episode.
The fishing features in almost all our videos because it's how we feed ourselves. Not too hard in remote Australia!
Wow! What an absolutely stunning location. If this video doesn't encourage people to sail around Western Australia, I don't know what will. Fantastic video, probably my favourite so far.
Best music selection of any bloggers

That smoked fish looked the goods. what a great lil barby that is. Incredibly spectacular scenery. thanks.

Near enough to make no difference.

Proper sailors and proper human beings without cheesy product placements and narcissistic video. Thanks
Thanks Jim. We recommend a few bits and pieces but we dont get sponsored for it. We just reckon they will be useful.
Free Range Sailing we really enjoy your videos and find them really inspiring. Love your field craft abilities too. Best wishes to you both
My sentiments exactly. Terrific adventures!!!

Fantastic- theres a whole bunch there for you to get through! Can we recommend starting at the beginning?
Thank you for taking me to places I might never get to go....I am very grateful.
I love your videos so much better than the million dollar catamarans
Thank you Guys !!
You are awesome!!
Thank you that you show me amazing places i will never be!!
Cheers!!
The next leg of our journey takes us through northern Australia in Cyclone(hurricane) season so we may show you places you might not want to be!
Really enjoyed thanks ✌️👌❤️
Thanks guys! Very much enjoyed your video and the fun narration of your travel to places I didn't know existed.
Cheers RJ. The Kimberley is certainly a lost world. We're so excited to be able to share our adventures here with everyone on TH-cam. Stay tuned there are many more episodes to come!
Your fish recipes inspire me! I'm going to try smoking some of the ling cod next time I catch one here in Alaska
Thank you , wonderful photography
Thanks Bob, we appreciate you taking the time to follow our ramblings.
You're fantastic! Keep producing these inspiring videos. Greetings from Portugal! :)
Oh, welcome to the crew, we are starting to see more new friends from Portugal and we hope it continues.
Awesome channel guys ! keep up the great work!
Good stuff, you guys are so refreshingly real! I'm personally tired of sailing channels with staff on board to videograph.
Thanks Michael, we're glad you like it. Not much room on our 30' boat for a production crew!

That was great. Beautiful area.
Thanks very much Mike!
you two are doing it right.
Love your videos guys keep them coming. Epic.
I don't know what part of your lives I'm more jealous of :)
Preparedness!!! Great add to the video.
Another great video

What a brilliant life you lead.

A little different from a sail around Lake Michigan?
Hahaha, just a little. I haven't been to that part of the world since early 2000. Wonderful country...
Pascal is awesome
Enjoy yourselves as I am enjoying YOU!
Be safe, keep sharing!

Thanks Richard we're releasing weekly vids so it's good you subscribed!

couldnt have said it better my self
yeah, top notch, you need a drone ! we should group fund a mavic
Like they way you give loads of info you ever stopping in Mackay
Este peixe deve estar delicioso, deu até água na boca. e fome em mim. Parabéns! ( This fish should be delicious, even made mouth water. and hunger in me. Congratulations!)
Thank you José, I even got some language instruction today.
Greetings from Spain, love your videos, what kind of sailboats is she..
Wow, you have charcoal! Even on a small boat you have a luxury. What about the infamous poisonous Australian snakes?
Love your stuff, just started following you guys. How do you guys know that in some of those waterholes there aren't any crocs?
None could make it that high up!
What make is your foldable dinghy where did you buy it?
LOL what about the shrinkage Factor 😂😜
Can you tell me what camera y’all use to do your video?
How do you learn about survival tricks and things? You seem confident in knowing where to go and how to check for stuff and when to drink the water...
Listening to our elders and a lot of reading helps with the knowledge but the old saying comes to mind.
Good judgement comes from experience,
which comes from bad judgement.
We will do a few little bushcraft segments but only if it hasn't been done to death by others and as long as it genuinely contributes to the knowledge out there.
There isn't many out there doing survival and safety while exploring destinations... Your vids show more of a sense of adventure and survival... I like that... good job and thank you for sharing...
You both look like you are having the timeof your lives and I really envy you ! I have 2 questions. /Where can you get a smal dingy like the one you are using and where can you get those waterproof containers with the handle in the screw off lid ?
The dinghy is a Porta-bote if you want to search for it. The drum is a Mauser drum. Canoe & Kayak stores probably stock them
Troy how dose Pascal walk round on bare feet ? I have a mate who live in North Wales he would
love the climbing here
Does leaving the hook in the shark hurt it?
Where is all the water coming from?
There is so much evidence of lava flow there
nice
Welcome to the channel
Lol, swimming gear while taking a shower :D You guys are so "decent".
You two will make lovely humans if and when you choose to do so... No change to lifestyle just slow down more... But I suspect pascal's hormones will be pumping that direction in a few years if not already... You two are great keep it up mates!
Well, Heather we are both enjoying our brand new uncle and aunt status so perhaps we've a little extra breathing room!
Free Range Sailing awesome... good to get practice in first and get your teamwork down... changes the game a little when changing diapers between tacks ;)... still enjoying your videos every chance I get... almost through binging so looking forward to the new episodes! Already learned a lot
