I have been waiting to comment to see how your videos were going to be, and I have come to the conclusion that with out an reservations y'all have the BEST sailing videos on TH-cam It is the total package they have everything, the places you go, the fishing is out of this world and the horizontal falls sealed the deal for me, not to mention the rock climbing. So I just want to say Thank You very much for allowing me to come with you on your adventure! I wish I was there so keep em coming.
Thankyou Stormspotter. We have a pretty easy time making interesting vids because our country is so great. Beautiful always, deadly sometimes and very primal here in the north. We really love it here and are blown away by all the greta responses we have had to our vids. Thanks again and great to have you on the crew.
I am on. my second round of watching your adventures. I cannot believe what a beautiful country you live and explore in. The sailing fishing, climbing, the paintings on the rocks and the way you explain all the creatures you show us is truly amazing. Thank you for shareing this amazing adventure. I cannot wait to leave land and sail. I just need a good partner. Troy you are a excellent teacher.. you and Pascal make a great team. I also like when you are sailing and have the boat nice and trimmed out and are only steering with two fingers on the tiller. very humble.
Wow, go you on round 2! The Clansman handles very well and if the sails are trimmed just perfect we can achieve the 2 finger steering which is rather fun indeed!
Another winner guys. Well done. So refreshing to hear from two intelligent, normal human beings. (Unlike many other sailing videos). You don't patronize us with your explanations about the reef and animals etc. Its great to be able to see this stuff until the time when I can get up there myself. Thank you.
December 14, 2021: Hello everyone! Please excuse this comment: 78,000 of your earned subscribers have so far missed this thrilling, exceptional academy-award winning video. From Pascale's lengthy frightful nervous laugh at speed, tiptoeing past a strong whirlpool (me too), the six-engine outboard packed tourist boat plowing through the compressed ocean water rushing through the tight-tight cliff narrows, the real cliff-dangling mountain climb, the colours and just a very exciting adventure. All nerves calmed with Troy's "Don't do this at home comment." Possible like me, many may think these four-year old videos are rookie-films as they have gotten much better. This is not a rookie video. This video, says invite the gang for a bit to eat and sit down to be thrilled beyond what is imagined. Tremendous! Thank you, Richard
Troy and Pascale, that was a fantastic video. I really enjoyed how you explain and teach about many things which makes your videos very interesting. The rock climb down and then back up from the 'horizontal falls' was breath taking and exciting.
After gaining an interest in the continent (I am from U. S. A.) I began to watch filmed documentaries on Australia. Some were old and some were recent, but none of them can match the splendor, instruction, and insight gained by watching this channel, Free Range Sailing.
Another awesome video. You are really showing off the beauty of Australia. I think you guys are the best sailing video out there. There are so many positives. The two of you top the list. Lots of sailing, cooking, showing off the beauty of where you are, Educating with seemingly little effort. I am savoring all of your videos, and even doubling back on some. I love that you are doing this on a smaller boat. Not all cruising has to be done on a new Benateau. And Pascal is a gutsy lady, I would have enjoyed the view from the top.
Haven’t turned my TV on in days. Can’t remember when I have enjoyed anything as much as your videos/adventures. Love Pascale’s laughter, and your commentary. I sailed a bit in years past, made a few passages but nothing as epic as yours, and surely not as much fun.
You two should convert this into a sailing travel/documentary show. The things you do are awesome and you seem to be a great couple. The editing is spot on as well. Wishing you the greatest of success.
Love your videos! You would be right up there with the most capable duo I have seen. I love your sense of humor. Not sure how it will translate to someone who does not have Australian as a first language. It has been nice to watch someone who understands how to balance a boat, and who understands how to helm a yacht upwind. I look forward to seeing more of your adventures.
Thanks for the compliments ozzrock. Getting a boat to move takes a few hours but to do it pretty, takes an age. If the jokes fall flat, hopefully our beautiful country takes up the slack. Welcome aboard, we hope you stay with us.
Loved this to bits, I even got nervous during the abseil. The best music on any channel as well. Well done and thanks for sharing your adventures, Pascale and Troy.
Kimberly sailing, what a great untapped place, so glad to see someone showing nature at work, catching fish like it was 100 years ago. So much to see there.... Loved the video.
G'day, I watch a lot of sailing videos from around the world. I can honestly say without hesitation that you are within the top 5. I have given your channel shoutouts on other channels live chats, and would love it if you would consider a live chat session. I also think that your you tube channel will explode very soon👍. Your personalities, calm planning and execution of what I think would be some of the remotest and technical sailing and Navigation in the world AND excellent camera work with a bit of cooking and fishing thrown in. A+++
Thank you for your words of encouragement Mike. We would be happy to join you in a live chat as long as we are close to civilisation. If you drop us a message on our Facebook page, we can sort something out. Please understand if the reply takes some time- the nature of what we do places some limitations on us with regards to communications (typed 3 weeks later.)
Mum will have a fit watching this episode Troy. Think I’ll force her to watch it in front of me so I can watch her reactions!! Love this episode, it’s wicked you’re sharing such intimate adventures with us :)
Stunning colours of the Kimberley's. Didn't know about mushroom corals. Fabulous videos. Definitely have the Horizontal Falls on my bucket list. Greetings from Brisbane, (via Evan's Backpacking Chanel) 💚🇦🇺🐢👣
Absolutely beautiful area, thanks for sharing it with us....I live on the beautiful coast of Maine, in the United States, and have been here my entire life, never being much of a traveler...At least i get to see a part of the world i'm not likely to ever see firsthand, but through you i feel satisfied....Thanks again
Guys, you're becoming one of my fav sailing/adventure channel... your efforts are obvious and wanted you guys to know that It's awesome what you're doing... Keep having fun, follow the next adventure and be safe...Cheers...
A fantastic video. Actually this video stands on its own. You would never have to see the rest to really enjoy this one! Lol my hands sweat when you were climbing the rocks. Loved it!
Just re-watched this and I have got to say it ranks in the top five of all of your videos. Wonderful journey. I reckon this will be my next holiday destination.
Well you guys I am now a huge fan I found you on FB too. Hello from the USA and please keep making your amazing journey. I cant tell you how inspiring being able to "travel" with you is God bless and keep going Kev
So I have already been quite impressed with the knowledge you both have shown in your videos, but the rock climb was amazing! Your anchor setup was awesome and the nerve it takes to make that climb....wow! So glad I found your videos, you guys are awesome.
This one really made me catch my breath a few times. And I LIKE heights! :-). My Mum and I rode a similar boat up into the mouth of Iquazu Falls in South America. I miss you Mum!
Wow is all I can say I watch allot of videos and you two are at my top love listening to you tell the history and all your adventures please keep them coming
They say a coward dies a thousand deaths. I just racked up another one watching you rock climb. Beautiful place though. Loved the narrows. Great place for some landscape photography.
Superb videos. You've really inspired me to cruise Australia's north west. I'm sailing to Lord Howe Island in March, which isn't too shabby, but the Kimberly really has that wow factor.
Incredibili posti, vere perle della natura! Nella prossima vita anch'io voglio fare queste esperienze! A voi le mie congratulazioni per averle già fatte...
Never to disappoint, y'all have done it again. I have to be honest I never wanted to visit Oz...but now I can't wait. I'll probably not be able to do the stuff you've done (but I can try!). Excellent work. Sorry for the 3-year delay in commenting haha.
Thank you for providing your talent freely, we really appreciate it. If you have other tracks that you think may suit our style please feel free to drop us a link and we would be grateful. Thanks again

We are working our way across the top of Oz. Doing the waters between Australia and Papua for cyclone season, then the western side of QLD before tracking through the Grt Barrier Reef. Should be plenty of 'Off the beaten track" stuff to keep most people happy.

A simple secret to life is relaxation, and you two have got it.
"Don't try this at home. Go somewhere and try it there." Perfect. Awesome channel. Thank you.
3RayJ3 Has to be the best advice I’ve ever heard for the adventuring life style!!!
This was exactly what I was going to comment. (3 yrs later!)

Northern Oz is breathtaking in scale and variety of experiences you are exposed to. Thanks for joining us, theres still a lot more to see. (and eat)
Wow! That place is like a dream! Cool scenery, fishing, rock climbing, amazing animals 😲
National Geographic quality. Absolutely breath taking. Wonderful photography, music and descriptions.

Troy and Pascale, that was a fantastic video. I really enjoyed how you explain and teach about many things which makes your videos very interesting. The rock climb down and then back up from the 'horizontal falls' was breath taking and exciting.
We're really happy you're enjoying it so much Bill. The videos take quite some time to make so your appreciation is very heartwarming.
You both have really contagious attitudes, keep up the adventures. your wife's smile and laughter while y'all are fishing has to warm your heart.
Thanks Jimmy, the fishing is twice as fun when she's hooked to something big and really fighting. We both nearly laugh out of the boat.
After gaining an interest in the continent (I am from U. S. A.) I began to watch filmed documentaries on Australia. Some were old and some were recent, but none of them can match the splendor, instruction, and insight gained by watching this channel, Free Range Sailing.
Thanks for your very kind words Ron.
I forgot How Crazy this was...YOU TWO are Adventure KING AND QUEEN!!!!! AWESOME STUFF..I Wish I could give a Hundred thumbs up...FANTASTIC

Thanks Edmund. We'e hoping our TH-cam channel acts as a sailing travel documentary ;) Welcome aboard and glad you're enjoying.

Bob Arnall I concur!
One hell of a place to learn how to do that Pascale! But looks like you're in great hands.

Os vídeos já estão muito lindos, não precisam se arriscar tanto. Um pequeno acidente já estraga o passeio. Parabéns. Brasil.
They say a coward dies a thousand deaths. I just racked up another one watching you rock climb. Beautiful place though. Loved the narrows. Great place for some landscape photography.
Totally relate to the expression when the noisy stinkpot buzzes by in the background briefly detracting from the experience!
Superb videos. You've really inspired me to cruise Australia's north west. I'm sailing to Lord Howe Island in March, which isn't too shabby, but the Kimberly really has that wow factor.
Thanks Ben. Keep us posted on the Lord Howe trip and good luck.
Quite Brilliant just past the edge off my comfort zone,You did a great job of getting us back safely

You guys have rocketed to the top of my favourite sailing Vloggers. Love your work. Thank you for sharing. Troy, you blow me away with your knowledge. The Missus says you must have "a Marine Biology Degree". I reckon you are a product of the School of Life & Hard Knocks. (I'm right, aren't I? Gotta get one over). Oh, and Pascale is far too good for you. Cheers
No degree here- but my first book when I was five was David Attenborough's Life on Earth and it never changed from there. The knocks haven't been too hard but you are dead right and yep- Pascale is punching far below her weight.
You guys are real. Stay natural. Just keep getting better & better.
Love that your showing off how beautiful Australia is! Really nice episode guys - I think you are going to have a huge jump in subscribers soon! x Dr Sheddy and Cpt Joel
