Also, so happy just got my Beeline Moto II paired up--I've enjoyed the original & looking forward to the upgrades--and will be looking at the subscription package, but so glad it's an option, not a necessity to use it!
That's great! Yeah - the sub option is entirely unnecessary to get everything out of the Beeline II that it's sold for, and the company is committed to that. It's just extra features that cost them money, so are there if the user wants them. Cheers and happy new year, John

The beeline 2 hardware is really nice, the only thing I want better is the app. Its always a faff to change route or just stop to find a gas station or similar. Basically you have to cancel a trip completely to add a new waypoint which makes the trip tracker disjointed and it just seems like too much faff for what should be super easy. But like i said the hardware is great and as long as you have your route in it really nice. Used it both on a EU tripp (sweden to belgium through luxembourg) and for a daytrip on a rented bike in japan. That universal mount is great.
Got a great deal on the new DJI4 on black friday ..... now I am getting a new helmet mount that one a uk utube just put out again a good black Friday deal. Thanks for your great video alain & Yellow

What great reviews you always do sir! Thanks for making these videos. Always something interesting and I appreciate your knowledge and experience. I feel I can trust what you say.
Thank you John. That Beeline Mkll sounds great. I wasn't that impressed by the first one. (Problems with the phone connection) But this one that shows more than just an arrow seems to do the trick. I do like the compass mode! Happy new year!
Just a note on the Beeline Moto II - I bought one. A great bit of kit, but with certain phones' battery saver settings, it means that if you exit the app or the phone locks, you lose connection. My experience with this was with a Huawei. Beeline were super helpful in trying to help me solve the problem, but we weren't able to. Still recommend it though!
@@bennettsbikesocial I had many conversations with the Beeline team and unless I re-coded a certain section of the phone's coding, it would not be possible. And even that was an "It might work" option. But like I said, a great product that I would still recommend!
For a dashcam, I'd recommend a dedicated unit over an action cam. It will always be there and recording, hard wired, and you won't be taking it off to prevent theft when stopping at a store. I have the VSYSTO one but I'm sure others have entered the market now.
I'm in the US, I have a Trailer-In-A-Bag, similar configuration, though it has a little detachable ramp to load the bike, I do like the folding feature on the one in the video to angle it for loading, though I wonder how much harder that makes to push the bike up. But these things are very convenient. I fit mine in the boot of a 2003 Lancer Evolution sedan which was pretty amazing.
Great list. I might suggest that you check out the Mous case and motorcycle mounts for your phone. The attachment points are very solid, the mount has vibration dampening, the case is very protective with much better drop resistance, while being slim and still working with Qi and magsafe charging standards. Just a suggestion.

Great video Mr. Milbank, as always. Regarding the cameras, which one would you want (if you could only have one camera) during a rear-end collision? I use my cameras after I saw one of your videos that recorded a car driver run into the back of a motorcyclist who was stopped in traffic. While the video showed the car and the driver, it seemed to lack the clarity to provide the license plate and facial features of the driver. I would like to have those features all the time when riding my motorcycle. Which camera would you want for evidence and insurance purposes?
Hmm, tricky one. In the event that you needed evidence, there's more than just the number plate potentially. Depends on the incident I guess. That previous video was when I got hit, and the police didn't need to see the video at all.
@@bennettsbikesocial Yikes, I feel bad that you were the person injured in the video that I mentioned. I live in Los Angeles, California and, unfortunately, there are a lot of drivers who leave after the vehicle wreck.

I wanted to get a maintenance device but I had no outside power so used my noggin and fitted a solar power Oxford solariser,, I would recommend them to keep your motorbike battery topped up if you have no access to electricity outside.
Good stuff, looking forward to those long term tests you mentioned, i went from xcp rust blocker to the clear coat and have no complaints. Now then, if it's a medical issue you need say no more but what is in your front right pocket?
The Ace pro 2 can connect to your Sena or Cardo via BT and get voice from your mic in there so you don't have to have the port open for moto v-logging. The DJI can't.
@@bennettsbikesocial I think we overemphasize on perfection when just 5 years ago these features would have been game-changers. Thoughtful, meaningful & practical content > audio quality and I certainly appreciate the extra capabilities. In fact I bought the AP2 because of the exceptional low light performance and the connectivity to helmet coms.
8:40 the Motolug? My mates dad has one of these and kindly helped me collect a motorcycle with it and was really impressed although the other week he seemed to think they are now illegal to sell any new ones but you are okay if you already own one?

The stuff I posted is 1000x better than anything in thh video. Sorry :)
nice video, but in my opinion the dji is superior to the acepro, I feel the acepro has a “soft” look to it, the dji looks more crisp and detailed. Granted I went from an ace pro 1 to an action 5 pro (so exactly the opposite to you)
Cheers! I haven't tried the 5 Pro, but early firmware looked a bit off. It's probably a lot better now. Will be interesting to see the new DJI 360 camera that seems to be coming! All the best, John
Is the peak case just hard plastic? from the slight exposed bit at the top it looks like it may be just as bottom dollar cheap quality as the Quadlock. My Quadlock cases are DESTROYED by a $15 spigen. They make no effort to include minor details like relief cutouts for the volume rocker to prevent it from starting a stress feature there, so they always do, and there’s no reinforcement layer inside the rubber around the edges so all of the edges get weak and sag/flex then crack and break off pretty quickly… Only solution I’ve found that avoids having to put a big bulky universal mount from Quadlock onto a actual quality case, is to literally only use the case for rides, but who wants to swap cases for every ride
Just BEWARE that if you’re using any pricy ceramic coatings or getting proper expensive details done like treat and try to seal the paint, that dish soap will instantly erase that So if you’re paying to have your bright red Ducati detailed or diy adding a ceramic coating etc…don’t use dish soap unless that coating has already failed and you’re ready to apply/pay for a new one. Even if you use it quickly and it doesn’t completely destroy your coating it will rapidly accelerate its degradation and time to failure You can get ph balanced automotive soaps that do a wonderful job and won’t hurt your paint treatments
To clean your helmet all you need is water mixed with a tiny drop of soap. I do wonder if Oxford just walk around foreign factories all day looking at what they can stamp their logo on.
Good point! Some of their gear does seem a bit of an exercise in rebranding, but a lot is very impressive. The Advances Rider Wear clothing is excellent, and the Atlas luggage is very well designed. A mate in the trade also says they have an excellent after-sales service. Cheers, John
@@GeordiLaForgery The heated seat is very similar to much cheaper (~£20) variants on chinese sites with few differences like the grip texture and triple the price. A lot of the products are just rebranded chinese goods with minor alterations. That being said they do have some specialist unique stuff like heated grips which is sort of their bread and butter products
All Oxford products look familiar and have for years. I dont know how they haven't been sued out of business as all they seem to do is copy other peoples products.
To be fair, there's a very talented design team working on a lot of the products. Granted, not all, but... th-cam.com/video/lvfIwUCKQZo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jczajdHC4YK0robF

Peak design mount can still ruin your phones camera. They won't fix it or remedy it in any way. Just be warned. They market it as having the best vibration dampening that prevents damage but that's simply not true.
They all can unfortunately. I've got a video I need to do about phone mounts where I spoke to a scientist. It does depend on the phone though and the stabilisation used in the camera. Cheers, John
@bennettsbikesocial oh yeah, I didn't mean to imply that PD was the only one. Just expressing frustration that they market it as preventing any damage then when you have damage they backtrack. Too late at that point. I'd argue it's false advertising on their part.

@@bennettsbikesocial Yikes, I feel bad that you were the person injured in the video that I mentioned. I live in Los Angeles, California and, unfortunately, there are a lot of drivers who leave after the vehicle wreck.
Very interested in Helen’s view on the Oxford hot seat, my wife is missing the heated seat she had on the ktm 1290 SAS and the bmw 1250gs we had before we got our Vstrom 1050? Looking forward to updates. Thanks for the video 👍
Thanks! Keep an eye out for the written review on BikeSocial.co.uk. Cheers! John
I wanted to get a maintenance device but I had no outside power so used my noggin and fitted a solar power Oxford solariser,, I would recommend them to keep your motorbike battery topped up if you have no access to electricity outside.
Good call! Cheers, John
Lots of good advice 😊
I’m envious of the products that you have access to in the UK that we don’t see in the US. Oxford is notably absent here.
Good stuff, looking forward to those long term tests you mentioned, i went from xcp rust blocker to the clear coat and have no complaints. Now then, if it's a medical issue you need say no more but what is in your front right pocket?
I love my Beeline too! 😀
Beeline moto 2 is on my Christmas list..
Excellent! Cheers, John
Christmas may only come once a year but it now lasts for four months! You're a very naughty boy not using a mask when atomising your bike with XCP!
Gets the rage when she's cold... That's the cause of starting a help group lol.
Hi there are there any action cameras that shoot continuously rather than in 12 min sections
Don't knock the vac for drying your bike until you've tried it, really cuts down on the polishing effort afterwards.
The Ace pro 2 can connect to your Sena or Cardo via BT and get voice from your mic in there so you don't have to have the port open for moto v-logging. The DJI can't.
You can, but I'm not that impressed with the audio quality that way. Check out the reviews linked in the description.
Sent timestamp 4:24 to my partner. Looking to get my own John Mc Guinness for Christmas.
Great video !!
Thanks very much! Cheers, John
Hi, Love the content. How did you mount the Beeline Moto2 on your ZX6R? I am hesitant to buy one as I cant work out a mounting positoin on my ZX10R
I used the mirror/crossbar mount to fit it to the fairing bracket. beeline.co/collections/moto-ii-mounts-and-accessories
Excellent 👌
And my shopping list grows. haha thanks for sharing interesting vid and good knowledgeable views. cheers
Sorry to be spending your money! Cheers, John
@@bennettsbikesocial My choice nice to hear good recommendations cheers
8:40 the Motolug? My mates dad has one of these and kindly helped me collect a motorcycle with it and was really impressed although the other week he seemed to think they are now illegal to sell any new ones but you are okay if you already own one?
News to me - I can't see why they'd suddenly become illegal. They're certainly still trading
on my second one (long story) but great chuck it in the boot and quicköey assemble when you need it
I also found the SW Motech Adventure rack had a higher weight rating than the Givi at least on the Tiger 800
Good call - I hadn't checked that, thanks! When I bought the bike I really couldn't see why SW Motech made a Givi mount, but I'm glad now that they do! Cheers, John
I wasnt expecting this level of nerd. Exceptional stuff 😂
This is low-level nerd for me! Cheers, John
Great Video, Just wondered if this was included in your Apple Car Play/ Android review, AOOCCI C3 Motorcycle Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto. Other channels seem to be raving about it for only £70!!!! Although it doesn’t have the dash cam capability. But i would probably go with a hard wired dedicated dash cam any way
I haven't tried one, sorry! A lot of companies punt out a lot of them to influencers to get coverage, but I haven't had a chance to do any more of them recently. Cheers, John
8:06 that’s a real shame. I’ve been considering switching to peak because the quad lock cases are absolute garbage and they know it and refuse to make the smallest improvements…guess it makes sense when the case is their only retiring revenue
Just saw this from the US in Jan 2025. Man, things are SOOOO different in the UK... This is my list which is 1000x better.
1) Battery Tender Junior 12V ($40)
2) Vantrue F1 dashcam ($400)
3) Kuryakyn Road Thunder Sound Bar Plus ($500)
4) FOBO Bike 2 tire pressure monitoring system ($90)
5) Nelson Rigg Route 1 Destination Backrest/Sissy Bar Rack Bag ($190)
6) Denali Soundbomb Compact Air Horn ($63)
7) RAM Mounts Torque Large Rail Base RAM-B-408-112-15U with B Size 1" Ball ($29)
8) SlipGrip iPhone mount (NOTHING BETTER!)
9) Sena 50S Motorcycle Jog Dial Communication Bluetooth Headset w/Sound by Harman Kardon ($250)
I have been riding 25 years and am a tech crazy guy. The stuff I posted is 1000x better than anything in thh video. Sorry :)
Ok
@@bennettsbikesocial lol
I’ll stop saying my garage is too small, you have a lot of stuff packed it there!
Yeah, I really want a bigger garage!
Do you own Bennetts? I wish the USA did insurance like the uk does
nice video, but in my opinion the dji is superior to the acepro, I feel the acepro has a “soft” look to it, the dji looks more crisp and detailed.
@ it was, after the high bitrate I feel it looks better. many thanks for these videos! keep up the great work
No matter how close I zoom in, I still can’t see the wires connecting your bottom jaw to your flapping arms. Nice one. Some good info here. Thanks. 👍🏻
I use fine fishing line
Is the Oxford atlas a better buy than kriega backpacks?. Looking at 20-25l sizes.
This should help: www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/reviews/products/motorcycle-luggage/oxford-b-30-rucksack-backpack-review
Is the peak case just hard plastic? from the slight exposed bit at the top it looks like it may be just as bottom dollar cheap quality as the Quadlock. My Quadlock cases are DESTROYED by a $15 spigen. They make no effort to include minor details like relief cutouts for the volume rocker to prevent it from starting a stress feature there, so they always do, and there’s no reinforcement layer inside the rubber around the edges so all of the edges get weak and sag/flex then crack and break off pretty quickly…
Only solution I’ve found that avoids having to put a big bulky universal mount from Quadlock onto a actual quality case, is to literally only use the case for rides, but who wants to swap cases for every ride
Just BEWARE that if you’re using any pricy ceramic coatings or getting proper expensive details done like treat and try to seal the paint, that dish soap will instantly erase that
So if you’re paying to have your bright red Ducati detailed or diy adding a ceramic coating etc…don’t use dish soap unless that coating has already failed and you’re ready to apply/pay for a new one. Even if you use it quickly and it doesn’t completely destroy your coating it will rapidly accelerate its degradation and time to failure
You can get ph balanced automotive soaps that do a wonderful job and won’t hurt your paint treatments
I have a CTEK 5 amp charger it's pretty good.
They are really good - it might be the one I covered in last year's video. Cheers, John
That R30 looks like the one stolen out my car a few years ago. It has my webbing helmet clip on it.
Sorry to hear that. I've had this from new
Sw motech makes great stuff
Hi
Are there any action cameras that don’t break up the recordings into small 12 min chunks as I don’t know how to join them together .
Thanks .
It seems to depend on the resolution being filmed at, but there's lots of free editing software to piece them together
To clean your helmet all you need is water mixed with a tiny drop of soap. I do wonder if Oxford just walk around foreign factories all day looking at what they can stamp their logo on.
Absolutely, though water doesn't give a good shine too. Neither of the cleaners I suggested in here were from Oxford.
@@bennettsbikesocial Sorry I bundled two seperate comments. Funny thing is Oxford do sell their own helmet cleaner too.
There's actually a talented design team working there on some of the products th-cam.com/video/lvfIwUCKQZo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jczajdHC4YK0robF
Dear santa, this is my christmas list!
All of it?!
My wife got all those things for Christmas…
Man, I will become bankrupt because I need and I will buy all of these items!! :))
Ha, surely not ALL of them?! Cheers, John
Thought we where still in 2024...
You have to stop living in the past 😂👍
All Oxford products look familiar and have for years. I dont know how they haven't been sued out of business as all they seem to do is copy other peoples products.
To be fair, there's a very talented design team working on a lot of the products. Granted, not all, but... th-cam.com/video/lvfIwUCKQZo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jczajdHC4YK0robF
Did you crash the VFR into the shed 😂.
I'd like to!
@bennettsbikesocial oh dear, causing you trouble? I thought the content had dried up.
Today was a great day for my 750FV. Nitron R3 rear shock fitted (after having to remove the entire rear subframe...), stainless oil cooler lines, new ignition wiring and SBS RST Pads. Most chuffed.
Omg 😮
