If I knew what I know now, I wouldn't have bought it. I never even look at the gear indicator. I thought that I did, but I don't. I mostly forget it's there until it errors out. Couple of suggestions. If you're drilling the face shield put some blue tape over the drill point it'll keep a crack from running and if you're hard core remove the fasteners and add some loktite to keep fasteners tight and not rattling. Security of a motorcycle is obviously very important, and I have a question (sorry if it's a stupid question! ... Apparently, it's NOT a stupid question!); What's to stop thieves loading a motorcycle into the back of a vehicle and stealing it that way? I understand owner's can fit tracking devices to bikes? LED lights that last a "million, billion years?" ... So, LONGER than the Universe has existed for? That's some warranty! 🤣 ... I wouldn't know what to do with all those tools! I can just about change a tap washer!

A Tool kit... well yes, i have one of those, but it takes a van or ute to move it around, as well as an extra person... It also takes up 4 cabinets, and only two of those have wheels. 17mm is not an odd size, 13 15 16 and 18mm are the Odd sizes. I wish I didn't have to have every torx size imaginable, but as far as Allen keys go, I refuse to get Imperial sizes... I will never wrench on anything with imperial Allen keys!
Not having a visor with pinlock once saved me from a possible ban & certainly a fine, just turned from small side road onto large straight road for 4km,was early morning & very cool, accelerated to about 140kpm (limit is 90kph) visor completely fogged up, could barely see anything, went down gears & braking hard, & lifted visor, see movement at end of straight so stayed at lower speed, got closer & was Police with mobile speed gun, I was lucky 😊
I more or less ride everyday, it honestly feels like a need for me. I hate it when it snows... I don't even really care if it's cold, except if it is in 30's-40's I won't ride to work (hour journey on highways), but I will still ride in town. Maybe once I get heated grips it'll be a different story.
One of your other videos you said you have kind of gotten stuck making the "beginner videos." I'm no where near a beginner but I like watching your videos. If you made more accessories or advanced stuff, I'd watch those too.
4, 6 and 8mm hex keys? There are a few 8mm cap screws on my BMW but almost all fasteners are 5mm. Other BMW bikes use Torx fasteners. If you need to reach far back into plastic fairings to remove them, be sure to have a long reach T handle hex key. You'll seldom have straight in access, so a ball end hex key will allow access from an angle, but the ball end doesn't retain the fastener as well when it needs to be poked back into the innards of your bike. Someone needs to sell good ADV quality rust proof tool kits that are specific to all of the common bikes, with 20% extra space for user added preferences because everyone is a bit different.
So I been watching your vids for over a year and love them.. they are informative and entertaining and not to long. But there is one thing you have not done yet...... and that is to windshield or not to windshield on all models and types. The reason i am asking this is... I am new to riding and yet i always wanted a bike, i finally got one and have enjoyed it.. yes a little baby ninja 300. And i use it for city and highway .. and noticed i was exhausted after going 120 to 130 km/hour (canada) for an hour... so i got a sport touring windshield for it and its great now... but would i even need one if i was on a naked bike.. just wondering if you will do a video about wind buffering on all machines you currently have. You have a large collections of bike to give review on or what to expect.. be greatly appreciated.

Gear position sensor is my favorite thing on my older bike hands down cost like 30 bucks install doesnt take much time at all just make sure you program it correctly I messed mine up when I installed it and only went up to 4th
I'm not sure why more modern bike have only just started to get those as standard now?
My old 1973 Suzuki GT380 stroker, used to have the gear indicator with a digital display (of sorts)
Started the video with 2 motorcycles uninsured, finished the video with a Progressive policy. Thanks Papa Yam
0:05 literally laughed and said fu ass hole, why do you have to put me out there like that lmao. As I continue to watch the video to see what more I can but.
I got a round padlock that works just as well as a disc lock minus the alarm. It works with a combination so even better than the the disc lock which sometimes keeps going off randomly in wet weather.
dont drill your visors just yet.. theres a ,,pinlock" visor made by Raleri that just sticks inside with a self adhesive gasket. Been using it and i can recommend it as a less risky alternative
Just went to get a beer in the shop and had a vision of grabbing a rattlesnake and bringing it in the house to show my husband. 😂
Why am I crazy?
Thats a big sponsorship to have! Grats, and thanks for the video!
I've been riding in the Bay Area off and on since the mid 1980's. I've been riding a lot since 2007 and have never owned a battery tinder. Like I said, I ride a lot so I've never needed one. I am sure they are a great piece of equipment if you don't ride too much. Fortunately, the weather here is great all year.
Always awesome stuff from yammie, definitely my new favorite channel.
I bought my bike in September and it was cold. Bought some cold weather gear. Put about 800 miles on her since then and it’s getting hot! Just about 90degrees. Now I need some money for a summer jacket and summer gloves at least! I ain’t riding like no squid!
Passed the MSF yesterday in the pouring rain and crazy wind up here in OK. Thing is I still have to wait 2 months just for someone at the DMV to sign a paper! Anyone know if shops will let me test ride while I wait on the signature?
Thank you Yammiiiiiiieee! owner of a brand new 2021 Yamaha R3! love your videos!
Couple of suggestions. If you're drilling the face shield put some blue tape over the drill point it'll keep a crack from running and if you're hard core remove the fasteners and add some loktite to keep fasteners tight and not rattling. I learned this trick when I was restoring a 49 Panhead which actually came to me in a milk crate. Now go eat some bugs.
love this channel like the way you break everything down for us
my dealer told me my GS was unboxed and being built yesterday, i told him to add a topbox but forgot about the cup holder, thanks for reminding me!
Locks keep honest people honest, even with a disc lock it won't stop it from being taken .... Goes the saying " If they want it bad enough, they'll get it "
The Harley jokes never get old😂
I'm NOT a motorcyclist, but I've been inspired to consider learning to ride by watching videos of awesome biker boys on TH-cam! ...
The blue and gold macaw is my favorite kind of crow too
0:44 laughed my ass off when I saw Ron when he was driving the flying car
@10:09 that one hurt. 😂😂 Pretty sure digging for more gear means your way over speed limit. Keeps me in check. 😢
2:21 #1 pin lock visor
3:32 #2 battery tender and a USB
charging port.
4:42 #3 brake lock
5:59 #4 smartphone-compatible gloves
7:00 #5 a tool kit
8:13 #6 upgraded lights
9:33 dashboard accessories or a new dashboard
LOL the guy at the shop literally said he has a credit card just for the bike hahaha, I was like nope not me sir already too deep in. Got a brand spanking new Vitpilen 401 and it’s fully insured. Definitely need a place to mount my phone too
Damn 30+ years of riding an never knew I needed a gear indicator, temperature read out, and especially smartphone enabled gloves.
wait until you found out how stupid those smart gear indicators are.
I’ve never seen the reason for having a gear indicator 😂 just use your brain
I'm just getting into motorcycles. I'll gladly offer up my firstborn for this. I've had a vasectomy so not worried
OoooOOOoo good idea about the cup-holder.. I do notice my Venti Latte fogging up my gps...
Thanks for the video! 💯 I have all of those things you said I need I started two years ago buying all my equipment and motorcycle gears jacket and pants & gloves plus boots! And motorcycle helmet I have seven pairs because I did know what Best motorcycle helmet! Till my cousin told me LS2 Valiant II Revo helmet!!
I actually do ride my bike every day because its the only transportation I have. I couldnt afford a car and got an amazing deal on a kawasaki vulcan 900 classic for 4,000.
nice
Can’t be stolen?
Lock picking lawyer: “hold my beer”
This is the Lock Picking Lawyer
I just got a 2020 GSXR600 in April. Brand spanking new. Got stolen yesterday morning about an hour before I woke up.
Funny! The F750 GS is exactly what I'm eyeing. Lol
I more or less ride everyday, it honestly feels like a need for me. I hate it when it snows... I don't even really care if it's cold, except if it is in 30's-40's I won't ride to work (hour journey on highways), but I will still ride in town. Maybe once I get heated grips it'll be a different story.
I'll ride down to 35* - colder than that I have to worry about ice - my wife won't ride with me if it's below 50*
One of your other videos you said you have kind of gotten stuck making the "beginner videos." I'm no where near a beginner but I like watching your videos. If you made more accessories or advanced stuff, I'd watch those too.
Wow! You made it to the end! Your reward is a plug for another video of mine!
hey yam, im 18 from ireland doing my cbt on the weekend have an 05 yamaha dt125x. loving the vids
1:19. this coming from a guy who still can't pull neither off lmao. Love ya Yam. Gotta call ya out man.
Hey! I know that area....I dunno if you've ever said where you're at, so I'm going to keep it to myself, but that's in the 512.
the thing about flash rate of the indicators is just in case of a failure it flashes faster to let you know something is wrong.
What bike are you riding here? We bought Kona hybrid last year and we're very happy with her and now buying Honda bike for me this year. 😊
Yes!!! Can you help me find an upgrade for my headlight? It’s a 2001 Suzuki Intruder 1400
“That lump of American iron”..... 🤣 Love it!
when he said pearly gates, everything went dark for me. lmao
You forgot to upgrade your horn. Or do you think beep suffices?
In the tools equipment, you forgot to have a torque wrench. I recently had to replace the oil pan because the previous owner had over-tightened the oil-pan bolt and caused a crack in it. Fuuun to change just before the season where I live started...
I ride everyday! Lol I don’t own a car anymore! You cager! Lol 😂
That picture of that helmet tho.... i need that right now.
A question to the 7th must have:
how to improve brake lights in the oryginal lamp? My bike uses PR21W bulb.
If you're in a pinch and don't have smartphone compatible gloves, you can lick your glove fingertips and it'll work for a little while.
Know your motorcycle as well some actually come equipped with a steering lock that keeps the front wheel from turning.
As soon as i hit my 3 yr mark at work n im able to pull out as much as i want from my 401k im gettin my first bike. Thinkin xsr700. But the triumph speed twin is super sexy. Ive ridden a few motorcycles n owned a few stickshift cars so im familiar with a clutch. But mannn 13k is a lot of money. I'll upgrade my tier subscription if you give away a speed twin 😆
Why? For around $7K, you could get a BRAND NEW 650cc motorcycle - the Royal Enfield - that 650cc twin has been around FOREVER - yea, they are *now* made in India, but what consumer product hasn't been? At least look at it - I've told younger guys I've encountered to at least look into it - for what you are receiving, it is hard to beat
Hey the gs thing was uncalled for. My first bike is a used bmw gs but i cant wait to get rid of it
How about that Manscape trimmer that you peddle? Is that a mandatory accessory too?
Mt09 as a first bike? I think sooooo.
Don’t worry yam I’m responsible
Dumb lol
@@yammienoob Buys CBR 929...2 months into riding.....
I'm in danger, and also half mast
Hey just wanted to say thanks for your channel! Information is handy and a few good laughs. Thanks again 😂
You had me right up to toxic the LED lights
