Dogs used to eat the liver of coyotes and now they get poopy butt because their owner changes their food. This is what happens when animals are subjected to massive selective breeding. It causes health problems and severe degenerate genetic mutations that hurt them and work against their very existence.

I’m a veterinarian and I have to work with these CRAZY people EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Been a vet for 13 years and it is getting worse. People have lost perspective together with their minds. I feel sorry for the dogs. Most people don’t realize that THEY are the cause of their animals’ problems - medical and behavioral.

Unfortunately some of your colleagues are playing into this. The only time I am called my cats mom is at the annual vet visit. I corrected the nurses a few times, but then the doctor comes in and says “ok MOM what are we doing today?” and I just give up
@@elenaermolaeva5001 Yup, the food companies play into it too because it sells more food. Vets are individuals and some are into the “fur baby” nonsense too. Others, like myself, absolutely hate it. You will never hear that kind of stuff coming from me. You can love your dog to pieces and still let it be what it is - a dog. They are not there to replace actual children. It’s so creepy when people do that!
@@shelleypoop Ugh, I’d have two write a book, tbh. Way too much for a simple comment in You tube. Small example. I know an owner that caters for her dogs’ whims like she’s a human. 4kg Jack Russel. If the dog is sitting on her bed and won’t “let” the owner on the bed, the owner sleeps on the couch. Why? Because it’s the dogs’ place too and perhaps she just felt like sleeping by herself that night. Needless to say, the dog has learned that it can get its way by growling and biting. The owner can’t handle it, we can’t even examine it and if it ever gets sick, it is going to be hell to treat, never mind to hospitalize. The owner created this problem and the dog will suffer for it one day. It sounds like an extreme example but I there are increasingly more people who think this way.

Let’s be real, half of these videos weren’t so much about the dogs as it was about the owners flexing how much cash they have. Showing how pampered the dog is ultimately is just a way to flaunt how much free time they have by not working and how much they can invest in trivialities

Lived in California until 2 years ago. The amount of people dressing their dogs, doing their dogs hair, spending hundreds each month to literally treat their pets like children, was insane. They advocated so hard for body choice, never spoke about children in foster care and instead just wrecked some poor dog's psych by substituting with a "furbaby"

To be fair, the boots are to protect their paws in bad weather. In Texas, the asphalt gets so hot, people don’t realize how that can cause SERIOUS burns on their feet without protection.

As a mom of two wonderful kids and also a dog owner, I have to say the love, responsibility and work that goes into caring for one versus the other cannot be compared. Though I love my dog, my babies are my world. Period.

We had a Border Collie when I was a kid. If you don't know, Border Collies are herding dogs.
So when my parents were trying to teach me to ride a bike, she would pull me off the bike, then stand between me and the bike, and bark at it, defensively. She thought the bike was attacking me, and she reacted.

I'm a vet student, and I 100% agree with Ben. I love animals of all shapes and sizes, and I have two pets who bring a smile to my face every day. I thank God for giving me stewardship as their owner. But, they are not my children in any way.

Whoever is editing these videos is seriously very gifted. I laugh more at the editing for these clips than anything else I can think of in recent time. Seriously impressive work.
On more than one occasion in my life, I've seen a mother totally excited over a new dog costume, when the children need new shoes. It's insane.
I mean the issue with that comparison is that dog costumes can be just a couple of bucks whereas shoes can be potentially a couple hundred

I cannot have kids so I have two dogs. I understand they’re dogs though. I don’t expect anyone else to care about them except me. Some people treat they’re dogs better than the humans in their life. ❤
Edit: I know dogs and kids aren’t the same and I know dogs aren’t a replacement. If I cannot have children naturally I decided I don’t want any. I have many people in my life who make it fulfilling. Dogs are another aspect that make life fun. If god wanted me to have a child he would bless me with one.

We were meant to love, reproduce, raise and take care/educate babies/human beings.
While pets are part of the family and loved, they are still animals who use their instincts, they can’t reason like us. If they could speak, they would tell us they don’t need clothes and stuff

I was forced to "walk"my sister's doggie in a stroller once. I needed a placard that said "Please don't throw eggs at me. Not my dog. Not my stroller".

I dog-sat for a family member…dog didn’t wanna walk…? It got the choice of being a lazy bum or getting dragged along the ground
Since the latter WOULD count as abuse…it just got put outside for the 30mins or so whilst I went on my own exercise stroll…
The family member asked why the dog didn’t get any exercise, and when they said “well why did t you put him in the stroller…they were utterly confused when I pointed out that since the dog wasn’t doing any actual walking, it wasn’t getting any exercise…!!!

We had guests last night. One of them was nervous around the dog. We put the dog in her crate until our guest was comfortable. We told our guests that our human guests are more important then our dog. By the end of the night the nervous guest fell in love with our dog and wanted to take a picture with her. Because we honored our guest we had the best outcome.

No human guests is more important than your dog who is your family member that lives in your house. If somebody can't handle your dog they shouldn't be at your house your dog doesn't deserve to be in a crate because somebody doesn't want to be around it.

Gifted dog. Graduated high school at 2, accepted to Yelp University at 2 and a half. Now working on new designs for chew toys.
My friend and I say we are cat parents/pet parents but we are well aware that there are HUGE differences between us and actual parents with human children who need far far more than any pet. Its tongue in cheek fun. Our cats are a joy and just make us want to come home more to their love.

THANK YOU. When my Mom's dog died in Dec 2021, she said to my face, while sobbing (I had stopped in to say my goodbyes because she was one of the few small dogs I ever loved) "Now I have nothing to live for..." She's not even 60, has a lovely home, great job, all of her siblings, 2 kids, 6 grands. Are you friggin' kidding me about A DOG?! Even that cool dog. This limits my dating pool for sure, I just can't even deal with any of the dog stuff, especially the co sleeping, which my Mom still occasionally does with Ginger's box of ashes.
You need to cut your mom some slack, she was grieving, everyone grieves in their own way and may say things at the time they don't really mean, maybe the dog gave her something she didn't get from her own kids, which is what I suspect.
@@luckypupito1344 I love my Mom very much, and am grateful for her, but she's also very controlling and a covert narcissist. I was the one who went and picked up Ginger's ashes and kept them until she was ready. I was 100% supportive, and never made one negative comment about the way she was grieving to her or about Ginger. My Mom can't go one week without a guilt trip of some sort, even when I had a blood test come back wonky recently, she somehow managed to spin it back to her. So thank you for your input, and while some people are a-hole kids, I still say "ma'am" sincerely and call/see my mother several times a week, sometimes a day. I put my comment because it is refreshing to see someone being a good dog owner while having boundaries remain intact.
Edit: And to also let others know why sometimes people can love on pups but be totally averted to ever owning one themselves.
Oh my. I get that your mom was grieving but that is a bit dramatic to say. My mom is also overly attached to her little dog. She never used to be like this with our animals growing up. But these days, when I tell her stories of the shenanigans my toddler gets into, she'll interject with stories about her dog as if he's human. I guess she has nothing else to talk about but it's just very weird and annoying to me. I have to bite my tongue and not say, 'No Mom, your dog is not the same as a human child' lol 🤦
Ben, I have a human child who is the center of my world. I also have had two fur babies. Yes, furbabies. The thing is, the dog's needs never change. My daughter has grown into a remarkable, lovely woman. The dogs still need me with the same level as they did when they were puppies. As for paw shoes, in areas in the country that have extreme heat and cold they protect their feet.
So agree. They are dependant on us. Just like a child. A study from Harvard also showed that the regions in a womans brain react the same way, whether looking at their dog or their child.

Dogs are family and should be treated well. A dog is as smart and as playful as a three-year old human baby, so it makes perfect sense that they evoke parental instincts. I love dogs.

It's actually sad how people are putting animals above human lives. The whole abortion thing is the perfect example. I love my cats to pieces and cried like crazy every time one of my animals died, especially when it was my horse, but they are still animals ❤

Dog boots and sweaters in Canada are meant for keeping them warm (and not getting frostbite when on walks in the nasty -50°C winters). I've got 2 pitties, and one has almost no fur, so he gets so cold he almost won't go outside to pee when it's that cold. And also, my pitties are the biggest babies. They've got their favourite stuffed animals and blankets that they need to be tucked in with every night for bed. And they let us know every night when they're ready to be tucked in...😂

Let's be honest everybody baby talks their dog, but there is a fine line between doing that and treating them like a person. My dog knows she is not supposed to go upstairs, she knows that when somebody tells her to go in the cage she will go. If you make them think that they have the same entitlements as a person things will go very wrong very fast.
No only western people talk to their dog, bath with their dog, eat with their dog and sleep with their dog.

Dogs can burn their feet on hot pavement and freeze their feet on ice or cold pavement, therefore the muttluks. Dogs should wear orange vests in hunting season so some fool doesn't mistake them for a deer and shoot them.
They also make body armor for dogs 🐕 if you live in an area that is a real life GTA server 😹
I don't have children so my dog and my cat are my babies. I'm happy being a pet mom. They sleep in my bed. My dog has a sweater for winter. But some of these poor women need therapy 😂😂 and that Yorkie needs to be rescued before that weirdo kills him with her stupidity.

We have a cute, sweet little dog. 71/2 lbs. Our kids are grown and we have no grandkids as yet so she does kind of take their place in our affection. But we do know she is a dog. She does sleep with us, mostly at the foot of the bed because we were too old to listen to her cry in a crate for several nights and she doesn’t shed or mess up the bed in anyway. She Keeps my husband company in his work from home arrangement.
I remember 20 years ago as a kid I heard that dogs have cleaner mouths than humans from my friend and he’d let his dog lick his face.
Everytime I saw his dog do something like lick his own butt or eat poop or sniff another dogs parts or butthole I’d made sure I pointed it out to him and make jokes and laugh.
I'd give anything I had to get my dog back. She made it to 14. Some of us don't have children and have no plans to have children, so naturally we develop close relationships with our animals to the point where we treat them as family members. Let people live their lives with their animal friends how they see fit. I would take 100 dog moms who call their dogs fur babies over one animal abuser.

9:34 We had a Yorkie named Patsy who would sleep in my bed when I visited my parents’ home. She weighed 2-3 lbs, and somehow would take over the bed.

She’s such a great dog owner she didn’t realize you can’t change a dogs food or it causes…DIGESTIVE PROBLEMS 😂 I learned this in 4th grade and they even taught us how to switch a dog’s food by adding the specific amount of new food mixed in with the current food & how much new food was required on day 1, 2, etc…

He retrieves ducks when I tell him to. He stops barking when I tell him to. They thrive on being trained and told what to do.
I had a poodle and we lived in MN. There was no getting around it but I had to have her groomed in the winter otherwise her fur would get matted. I did end up getting her a sweater for her to go outside otherwise she would be shaking. Also the question was asked about the boots. I see them up here because when you are walking your dog outside in the cold temperatures, it helps protect their paws from extreme cold. I have never been successful in getting my dogs to wear them and while their paws are not too bad, I can see the benefit of having them.
In summer too, the sidewalks are burning in summer,dog are meant to walk on grass

Had to remind the vet a few month ago that my dogs are my pets not my children. She kept referring to my dogs as “your kids”.

I've never felt like a dog dad, but I like how dogs kind of adopt you into their "pack". You're just a strange dog to them... so I just housebreak them, teach them a few tricks, and we just chill.
