Both in a sense can work together. Yes existing is exhausting by the stuff you do or can and want to achieve. But at the end of the day you don’t achieve what you want there’s no need to beat yourself up over it because there’s always the next day to keep trying, being there and having the same feeling of wanting to achieve it. It’s all about you want to go through life and your perception ig is what I’m trying to say. Sorry if I thought too deeply 😀👍🏼

I usually get the "a bit cringe for his age uncle that you love" vibes. Never got a "cool youth leader" vibe, if anything close to that more like a "cool youth coach".
I really like Mark. He has an incredible sensitivity and a very over-developed emotional intelligence. I find in him not only a "simple" youtuber but someone who makes a difference in his audience and leaves something in their souls. It's always a pleasure to hear him speaking. Amazing video!
His voice is so comforting to me. When I'm feeling down I like to fall asleep to his Sort the Court videos. Something about the music from the game playing behind his voice gives me such feelings of comfort and safety.
“Existing itself doesn’t mean that you have a debt to pay to the universe. You exist whether or not you let yourself be stressed out about those ideas about what it means to exist.” -Mark Fischbach (Markiplier)
I feel like I need to have a debt to the universe, to keep me focused. And we all do have a debt but not what you think, it's as simple as being more mindful of the people around you, "pay it forward" as it were. Life is too short, the world too divided, and I'd like to believe I could make a difference, even if it's just for 1 person, that's enough.
there's a really really notable difference between deriving pleasure from pain and not fearing pain because the "what doesnt kill you makes you stronger" mindset has already literally changed your life. i know the masochism thing is a joke (that even mark leans into) but its always weirded me out ever since i got that Context gjfdkghfhg
I sometimes forget that Anthony is basically one of the most legendary TH-camrs of all time. He's been here before basically everyone else and has influenced so many other TH-camrs. Its crazy. He was a big part of my childhood too.
Mark is the most single humble TH-camr there is. Every time he speaks about anything deep and meaningful, it fills me with hope for humanity. If kids are going to make any TH-camr their role model, let it be Mark.
I think what strikes people (me included) about Mark is the lack of false humility. Like, the guy clearly knows that he’s made some cool stuff, and he’s allowed himself to be rightfully proud of it. I see so many creators do the whole “I would be nothing without you guys” and almost encouraging the weird parasocial relationships creators and fans can have. That’s not something I see Mark doing as much, and it really shows that he likes the famous position he has without letting it change him as a fundamental person.
Are we sure he isn't the reincarnation of sage of six paths? I wouldn't be surprised if he united the world under one country and made world peace solve world hunger and cure cancer at the same time 👍
Im 17 and my dads on his death bed not expected to make it to this Sunday. Hearing mark saying that we spend %90 percent of our childhood with our parents just calmed me down so so so much and im so glad i heard that bc i have been so disappointed in myself thinking I haven’t spend enough time with him.
He reached a different audience with that which became more widespread, but he already was over 1mil subscribers! (Maybe even above 5-7 mil but I'm too tired to fact check, he was already big FNAF just added a different audience to his viewerbase)
how mark said he wouldnt have started youtube without Smosh, its how i feel towards him, i wouldnt have started animating without mark. He's been my very first inspiration. mark, you are awesome, you are so self aware, i wish you all the best in life
And because he inspired you, you inspired me to start learning how to draw, learning how to create in a way that I never could before! It's seeing your progress in your animations that made me realize "Hey, I can do that too! I just need effort." It's people like Mark, Anthony, Jack, Frey and so many more keeping this country/world alive and joyful. And I can't believe, just how far Mark has grown, since 2017 (when I started watching)
I absolutely love to see what Anthony has become. He’s become his own identity, not just the face of Smosh, but his own person with his own accomplishments. Good job Anthony, it’s great to see you
To be able to separate yourself from the legit biggest channel of TH-cam at one point and have folks think of what you do post that as your best work is pretty incredible tbh.
When Mark said "I can't wait to see what's going to inspire the next generation of content creators" all I could think was "it's you buddy! you're inspiring the next generation of content creators!"

Can we just talk about how Anthony is SUCH a good interviewer? He is engaged and asks related questions and reacts and follows up and never allows a full moment. Most interviewers seem to struggle to find the line between being too dull and being in the spotlight too much, but Anthony has found a perfect middle ground of being entertaining while still keeping the whole thing exclusively about the guest. I love it.
@@lostwings183 It's much more than that, but i get what you mean. @@lostwings183 Nah, it's a skill. I'm sure he's engaging when just having a conversation too but this is more than that. He's an excellent interviewer.
To Mark, I am 34 years old and I feel after your statement about your dad you just helped me feel more closure that my dad passed when I was 13. Thank you for that clarity in thinking.
Hey there man. Didn’t experience what you did. My father left us for drugs. But he wasnt in my life ever. Sorry for your loss, i guess it was something alike my situation. Cheers mate. Life goes on.
i haven't lost my father but i feel very sorry for you, nobody should have to live with that. i hope that you're healing properly, and best wishes to you friend
Mark is such a strange and amazing individual. He has the ability to say and do things that are so silly you question his intelligence and more. Then you see things like this and you hear him speak and you realize how insanely complex and smart and deep this person is. Couldn't help but tear up during parts.
Its highly doubtfully either Anthony or Markiplier will see this; but my father passed away two years before I was 18, so hearing mark say that I had gotten to spend 90% of my time with him it made me feel like a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I've been carrying the guilt of "What if I didnt spend enough time with him?" and its videos like these that really help those who watch them. Thank you Anthony, and thank you mark.
I’m sorry for your loss but just you know no matter what no one can take away the time you got to spend with your dad I’m sure your dad is proud of who you are today
Just two wholesome, healthy people having a thoughtful conversation about how they used to be and how they’ve worked through situations they were in. I love this video.
That 90% of time Mark had with his father was immaculate. What a man has his father raised. We should all be envious to a degree of both Mark & his father ❤
As an aspiring filmmaker, seeing Mark create things like Who Killed Markiplier and the storyline that followed, Heist with Markiplier and now In Space With Markiplier has been my lightning in a bottle inspiration. Seeing someone who started screaming at videogames in their house making these incredible film-quality projects has helped me to envision me actually making the shit I dream of one day making. I sincerely doubt he will, but should Mark ever see this, know you've inspired at least one person out there.
Just know Mark has cried because he knows he’ll never have personal connections with the billions of lives he’s changed and inspired. He’s read comments and talked to fans at cons though, so he knows how much his fans love him and how much of an impact he has and can have on them. Just look at his ‘Watch This Video When You’re Feeling Down’, he could’ve kept that feeling and idea to himself but he pulled out a camera and spoke his mind, now that video means so much to so many people, and a lot return to it to feel comfort and love from a man who does genuinely care about his fans and the impact he has on them. He may create a lot for himself but he will always be such a loving selfless dude. Good luck on your career steering, I know Mark would be cheering you on if he could.
Stay strong my brother, I lost my father when I was 17 and I have to stay strong because knowing that my youngest sister is 10. Me and my brother are the only ones that's taking care of her
*By the time that you're 18, you've spent 90% of your time with your parent* Mark: "For a lot of people hearing that, that sounds really bad. My dad died when I was 18. When I heard that, that was the most comforting thing I've ever heard in my life cuz it meant I got 90% of the time that I would have with my dad" That is one of the nicest things I've ever heard anyone say
Mark is legitimately one of the kindest celebrities out there. He is an incredble role model to so many people. I remember being a teenager when I started watching his videos and just thought to myself how I wanted to be a good person like him. Because he shows his goodness in a lot of small moments and interactions that should never get overlooked. I really think Mark is going to continue to positively impact and inspire hundreds of millions of people over the next few decades
I started watching his videos in middle school when I was being heavily bullied for being different from everyone else. He helped me realize that it's okay to be me despite what others say he helped me laugh when I didn't want to and smile mark was a comfort to me a place I could go to get away from all the darkness in the world for a bit he really is a bright light in this world. We truly don't deserve him but I'm glad we have him. ♥️
That is so true! Mark holds so much kindness and goodness in a lot of little things and he fully embodies it. His creations, life wisdom and everything truly derive from his kindness. It's such a cliche thing to say but I think Mark really has inspired me and so many other people to be a kinder person. It doesn't have to be something big like charity donations, but a person's goodness just shines through every tiny human interactions or the way they act and speak in daily life.
It is so refreshing to hear another perspective from watching that Kurtzgesagt video. I felt so overwhelmingly guilty and a lot of grief. To hear that the video was comforting for Mark... that is truly amazing.
When Mark started talking about him loosing his dad at 18 years of age, some part in me just felt like it got torn apart. I lost my dad when I was 17 right on Christmas Eve, and now I feel both happy that I have statistically spent most of my time with Dad and sad that I couldn't have more. You're a great man Mark, never forget that.
i lost my mother and my baby sister a month apart from each other in december 2020 to january 2021 when i was 16. it’s such a weird feeling knowing that someone i look up to and relate to SO much has felt a pain equivalent. it’s almost mind boggling.
That hit me hard too, I lost my step dad (he was basically my only real father figure since my bio dad died when I was like 1) this year after the most amaizing vacation ever with him and 5 days before his birthday
It’s just insane how much effort Mark puts in his projects and the astonishing quality of them. It is always great to see such a passionate person as one of the “kings of TH-cam”
Mark defending his height at the end is so hilarious. But seriously, wow. Mark was already an inspiration to me, but this solidified everything. I’m at the point in my life where I have to figure out where I’m taking it, and this genuinely eased me so much. In the off chance that Mark reads this, I want to and am excited to make content BECAUSE OF YOU. I look at life and death better BECAUSE OF YOU (and Ethan and Amy). I feel more optimistic BECAUSE OF YOU. And I honestly am just so grateful. We love you mark!
Same here I wouldn't be here pursuing an animation career if it wasn't for him. Also Unus Annus was a wake up call for me. I was depressed, apathetic and somewhat suicidal and the whole concept of the channel really spoke to me. Even if most videos were very silly it helped me realize life is more than just getting by.
Mark is super wise, He’s one of the very few creators that are actually very good role models online. He’s shaped so many of his supporters into good people! King of the internet 💯
Wow. So humble. Seems like Mark is the Keaneu of TH-camrs. Great example of kindness, humility, integrity and intelligence. It would be so cool to meet him one day.
I’m kinda kicking myself for not being there for the whole UnusAnnus thing. I didn’t know it was this big ambitious project, but I am glad it got the attention it deserved
The thing that always stands out to me is Mark's ability to genuinely compliment himself while recognizing room for improvement. It's a great break from a lot of big names that are afraid to compliment themselves out of fear of being called arrogant. A great example of wisdom in self reflection.
Agreed, he strikes the balance between confidence in his abilities/pride in his work, and admitting his flaws, better than any I youtuber I know. I also like how Anthony was lowkey shocked that Mark straight up admitted to being ridiculously rich. Considering that Anthony has talked to many other super successful youtubers/streamers, that shows how rare it is for such people to be so honest about their money.
Mark: "It's about leaving a mark on the world before I go." Anthony: "No pun intended" Mark:*processing processing processing*...Oh "Mark"! I love Marks accidental wit and wisdom xD
I laughed at that more than I should have cause I've been there. You say something or do something profound or witty or funny and it's just an accident lol and you don't really intend it. Idk there's something very human in that.
I'm in a bad place, and I don't if I'll get out of it in time. This conversation made me feel hopeful, tear up, and for a moment, feel like the world isn't completely evil, corrupt, chaotic, or apathetic... Thanks Mark and Ian and everyone!
I really hope you get better soon. I promise, things won't always be as bad as they seem. There is still hope for you. You can heal and grow as a person. You are never broken beyond repair. You are loved and wanted, and you deserve to be happy. Remember that.
I love you, random internet person. You don't deserve to suffer, no one does, but you're not alone. Even if it's just a couple of semi anonymous people over the web, we're here ❤
24:44 I would also like to point out that in one of the endings to the warfstache automated interview automaton video he did, he said that "You can't change the past. You can tell all the stories you want to tell, it won't change what happened. You can't rewrite the past. If you live in fantasy forever, you will lose yourself in the story". When I first heard this line it hit me really deep.
I started crying three minutes in, I lost my father to covid this year, in February. He was only to be 46 this year, I'm 25; and hearing Mark mention the memories and how his father is, perfectly describes the strength and wonder of my own father and honestly, I can't even see straight my eyes are so full of tears. I love this, thank you so much Anthony for your wonderful videos and also to Mark! The absolute golden-soul of creativity! Bless you both.
@@amandamoose9701 I do believe in that, and I dream of my father constantly. May your father continue to rest in peace, as I am sorry for your loss as well. Thank you for your kind words.
Like he said based on that other video.. You will have spent plenty of time with him, as did the others in the replies to this comment. You got so much time with your dads, in the short space of time you got them. ❤️ Feel peace, knowing that. I hope you can all rest easy.
I've never watched one of Anthony's videos before but saw Mark post about this and thought, eh, for Mark I'll give it a watch. And as much as I enjoyed watching Mark and learning about him on a deeper level, I thoroughly enjoyed Anthony. Mark is a man who is not afraid to have feelings. He’s not afraid to share those feelings or be vulnerable, but never talks about the things he’s been through in a way that tries to incite pity or sympathy. He is wildly strong and insightful.
15:06 I've been laughing at this for ten minutes deadass. The composition and the timing is on point, and Mark's realization just to cut to a calmed conversation has me dead.
That one clip of mark crying made me tear up, he doesn’t and probably will ever know me. Since like 2015 to this day he has been my main source of content, he probably will never know how much he’s helped me through super hard time and I just need to escape for a few minutes, or how much he has taught me and helped me be who I am today ?! It’s crazy to think somebody who doesn’t even know me has influenced me so much, even crazier to imagine how long I’ve been watching mark’s content, it only feels like 3 years
Been a fan of his stuff since I was a kid. Learning more about him in his Draw My Life and all his other vids as the years passed by, he's definitely inspired and made me happy. He surely made his mark. I totally get what you mean.
The heirs of Mark we are. He is each and every one of us' companion while we explore, an inspiration in the dark, and by god did I know what kind of friends I wanted before I met them. Mark is big. Very big. Thank you :)
As someone who lost their dad 2 years ago at 16, hearing that i had spent about as much time as i could've with him gave me a lot of comfort, what an amazing episode
I love the comfort level people feel when being interviewed by Anthony because he doesn't work for a company. They know he's not gonna ask a messed up question to get views and money. They know Anthony is just trying to make the world a better place, and I love that.
All the feels when Unus Annus ended I cried. But like, the REAL DEEP crying that you feel for hours later in your chest. And I cried every day after that for probably a week because it felt like I lost a family member that I was so close to. When the videos came out a year later of them returning to the coffin I was not prepared for the overflow of emotions again and the tears. And now I'm tearing up just thinking about it. Good lord.
I always missed having people like this as idols as a kid, so as a teen I'm now finding all these people and creating this nostalgia. I never had that part of childhood so now I'm living those memories and watching these guys. I do wish I could've seen unnus annus, I barely knew it was a thing and then it was just gone. (Not me crying over TH-cam)
Mark has such a beautiful, sobering take on everything he's been through, and both him and Anthony have so much humility, it was funny to watch them clash over being bashful whilst being humble
I JUST WANT TO HUG HIM. He's such a good person, so honest, so true to himself. I'm so glad the internet has someone like him. And I'm so glad he enjoys what he does. I love Mark he's trully fun and heartwarming and I loved to see a more personal side of him 💗

Mark is such a respectable, self aware person. I wasn't expecting this video to be so captivating, you two are so intelligent and it's a great pleasure watching you talk. Thank you for this video Anthony :)
The only word I can really use to describe this video is mature. The amount of emotional intelligence in this video from both Anthony and Mark is astounding. I’m grateful I grew up with these men. Truly.
I only became a fan of Mark just under a week ago, and I’ve never so desperately wanted to get into someone’s content earlier than I did. He’s so well spoken, wise and seems like one of the kindest people in the world. Even though he’s a celebrity, he feels more of just a person who’s simply hilarious and entertaining to watch. Thanks for making this passed week awesome, Mark. I’m excited to continue being a fan for many more weeks, months, and years.
The wisdom that this guy has is inspirational. He's not just some gamer, there is a real person behind the computer screen. He learned so much from his mistakes in life it is truly inspiring.
I've met Mark a couple times and even though, like he said, I only know him through a little window into his life, he is genuinely one of the kindest and most caring people I've ever met. When he said he was devastated about not being able to have an interpersonal connection with each and every one of us, it's so easy for me to see how true that is just based on the times I've met him. He cares, on an individual level, so very deeply. Mark is somebody who deserves every bit of love and success he's ever achieved.
@@dirtspoon6876 Technically 3 times but two of them were in the same day at PAX 2015. I had run into him earlier in the day and explained to him how my 16th birthday was a week from that day, and he'd wished me a happy birthday (and even allowed me to ruffle The Floof™ 😱😂 I was a cringe teen, as most of us were), we took pictures, and I went on my merry way. Several hours later, I had approached a different creator entirely asking for a photo and chatting and I heard a "PSSSST!" behind me and I turned around and it was a dude in a beanie, sunglasses, and a scarf and I was like 🤨 ??? The sunglasses were lifted and the scarf was pulled down to reveal an incognito Mark going, "hi again!! happy birthday again!!" and he gave me a hug. The fact that Mark went out of his way to reveal his disguise to me just so he could wish me happy birthday again was just.. it was beyond sweet. He genuinely didn't have to do that, I never would have been the wiser if he didn't but he chose to go out of his way for that. I'll never forget it as long as I live. The next year at PAX 2016, I'd just missed the cutoff for meet and greet with him, Seán, and Wade, and a few other people who'd missed it had gathered at the side of barricade just behind where the boys were to ask the PAX enforcers to pass along gifts and just try to catch a glimpse of them. INSTEAD, the three of them each took turns coming over to us to chat briefly and take as many pictures as they could before they had to hurry back to the actual M&G line. All three are as sweet as can be, and I even have some fun Seán and Wade stories, but those are for another time hahah Basically, Mark goes above and beyond for fans and it's so evident how much he cares about the community just even through these small interactions. They're just that, small, but they really do mean the world.
I think Mark is the most down to earth TH-camr and is so in tune with his own emotions. Thank you Anthony for making this video happen. Love to see 2 TH-cam legends together.

"pain is essential" Mark "I'm not a masochist" Fischbach strikes again. On a real note, I get what he was saying and this video was full of great stuff, I just thought that one bit was funny
I remember when unus annus ended and I was so devastated when I missed the end because it was the highlight of my day every day for an entire year when a new video came out. Despite the fact it no longer exists I'm so glad about the impact it had on my mental health because I was going through a rough time and it helped me through it and I'm glad about the effect its had on TH-cam
I feel very similar, it was such a turbulent and challenging year of change and new things in life and Unnus Annus was a good way to accompany me throughout the year each day
Mark was my main reason in 5th grade that I didn't die. I was going through a lot of bullying, abuse at home, and identity issues that it was really difficult to keep going. I didn't know where I'd end up if I ever grew up, but Mark helped me find that- it's okay to be lost, it's okay to feel upset, as long as you get back up and keep going. Thank you Mark. As someone who lost their dad 2 years ago at 16, hearing that i had spent about as much time as i could've with him gave me a lot of comfort, what an amazing episode
I'm so sorry, may he rest in peace :(
I love the comfort level people feel when being interviewed by Anthony because he doesn't work for a company. They know he's not gonna ask a messed up question to get views and money. They know Anthony is just trying to make the world a better place, and I love that.
He found a way to ask about money without sounding like a dick. I respect Anthony so much, and that added to it.
Good lord.
I wish I had watched more before they deleted it 😢
I regret missing it
It may not be the same but for viewing purposes you can very easily still watch the entirety of it

I always missed having people like this as idols as a kid, so as a teen I'm now finding all these people and creating this nostalgia. I never had that part of childhood so now I'm living those memories and watching these guys. I do wish I could've seen unnus annus, I barely knew it was a thing and then it was just gone. It’s not about the videos, it’s about leaving a Markiplier on the world
a mark WAS left on the world though, right there, on your screen
"Life can be pain, but all that pain means that there's something better at the end of it. There's a payoff.” god DAMN mark.
Yeah, gives one almost the will to stay alive
Not. A. Masochist.
Mark has such a beautiful, sobering take on everything he's been through, and both him and Anthony have so much humility, it was funny to watch them clash over being bashful whilst being humble
mark's comment about his dad really hit me. i lost my dad a year ago when i was 18 and he gave me an entirely new perspective on it. thank u mark

I’m excited to continue being a fan for many more weeks, months, and years.
i had just started like you and his content makes me happy not matter what nonsense it may be. please keep watching his videos. i hope you still do
I started watching him a few months ago and I wish I had been to his channel sooner. He's so funny and seems so genuine and down to earth
I've been watching Mark for over 10 years. Welcome! :D
I think people forget how smart mark actually is because of the type of content he makes. He is so emotionally smart and profound
People tease him so much with him dropping out of engineering, but the amount of smarts it takes to do engineering itself is phenomenal.
How many times have you met him??
All three are as sweet as can be, and I even have some fun Seán and Wade stories, but those are for another time hahah
Basically, Mark goes above and beyond for fans and it's so evident how much he cares about the community just even through these small interactions. They're just that, small, but they really do mean the world.
@@mavisanya6969 holy crap, you're lucky! the fact that he went up behind you just to wish you happy birthday again is so sweet :')
I think Mark is the most down to earth TH-camr and is so in tune with his own emotions. Thank you Anthony for making this video happen. Love to see 2 TH-cam legends together.

Mark is a true inspiration for me and millions of people worldwide. He deserves everything he's achieved a hundredfold.
I lost my dad when I was 18 as well. I didn't know about the 90% thing. That definitely helped with the grief that I'm still having 11 years later.
I feel very similar, it was such a turbulent and challenging year of change and new things in life and Unnus Annus was a good way to accompany me throughout the year each day
i had to be there. (i missed it completely and only learned about it a year later😭)
I cried harder at Unus Annus ending than my ex's funeral 😶
Mark was my main reason in 5th grade that I didn't die. I was going through a lot of bullying, abuse at home, and identity issues that it was really difficult to keep going. I didn't know where I'd end up if I ever grew up, but Mark helped me find that- it's okay to be lost, it's okay to feel upset, as long as you get back up and keep going.
Thank you Mark. You literally saved my life.
Howdy. You don't know me and i don't know you. I get what you went through, I went through the same thing. 5th grade was the suckiest year of my life ever. Markiplier also cheered me up!
